Everything at Felix was wonderful. We let the server guide us through the menu a bit and he did a great job with his recommendations so the meal had a great balance to it. I think they could recommend ANYTHING on this menu and you would walk away happy honestly. The Sfincione (essentially foccacia bread) was surprisingly amazing. Not often bread is that memorable. We had a salad with burrata, great flavors but light. Then we split a pasta dish and meat dish. The pasta was the Tonnarelli - nice pepper notes and really enjoyable to someone like me who generally is not a big fan of pasta dishes. The pork shoulder dish on the menu that night was one of the best pork dishes I have had. We also did a side of the broccoli which had great flavor and really worked well with both the pasta and pork dishes (the server recommended it). The pacing of the dinner was great. Never rushed and had enough time between dishes to appreciate them and not feel overwhelmed with too much food too quickly. The service was another bright spot. Usually trendy LA spots fall well short in this area in my experience compared to places in San Francisco for example. Felixs staff and service were above what you would expect for this price point, which is a refreshing change for the area. We also tried a few cocktails - both the Deacon Blues (Bourbon& cachaca) and Hey Nineteen (Tequila & Pisco) were great. I would tell anyone who asks - run, dont walk and try Felix ASAP!

Many dishes here are remarkable. We started with the sfincione, which is like a cake but made of focaccia. Very decadent but very much fun to eat. We then had fiore di zucca (deep fried zucchini blossom) that had a bit of cheese and rosemary, these were also nice, along with arancini, which were fine but not striking. For the pasta we had the tonnarelli cacio e pepe - the sauce was simple. this was showing off the technique, texture and interest in the pasta itself. which was very nice, but not as good as the orecchiette. the orecchiette were delizioso, the pasta itself had nice texture and chew, and the sauce was likewise great. we also had the side of fagioli which had bottarga on them. they mightve been a little too al dente as they say, and i didnt really taste the bottarga. the service was friendly and helpful, the decor was nice, and the wine by the glass had a good set of choices.

Felix is the best restaurant EXPERIENCE Ive ever had in Los Angeles! Masterful, blow your mind cuisine prepared and served by people who obviously really, deeply care. We were doted on throughout the night and given food and drinks to try. I am vegetarian and I left Felix on cloud nine!! But how about this? Chef brought my children (six and four) into the Pasta Lab and taught them how to make pasta. The whole restaurant practically stood up and cheered. They were mobbed by fellow diners when they left the lab. What a rare thing to be in the presence of the very best in food and service and to leave feeling the warmth and familiarity of home!! Or better: an idealized home maybe were all still looking for. You can find it at Felix. Tell Demetrio and Matteo and Chef Billy sent you. :))

If you appreciate extraordinary food - find your way to Felix. Its a cut above the best in LA and theres no doubt that Evan has created a masterpiece. Felix will cement his legacy as one of the best chefs in North America. He has an extraordinary ability to source the best ingredients - locally grown and sustainably farmed, then turn them into mouth watering culinary experiences. The pastas are better than Ive tasted in Italy and the bone-in steak is one of the best Ive had worldwide. The service is authentic, organic and familiar - the staff is clearly passionate about great food and wine and eager to share their excitement with the guests. I expect it will be named as the best new place to eat in LA, and deservedly so.

Fan-f@*king-tastic! Truly. The food, the atmosphere and the service more than worked for us! Ive been there twice - shared and tried many things off the menu cause we were in a bigger group - amazing both times! Great natural fresh tastes that arent hiding behind too many overcomplicated flavors. Its clear this chef knows what hes doing with food! The pasta - what hes known for - is absolutely the best Ive ever tasted. If youre looking to have proper al dante, head to Felix for pasta. Its the best! So nice to have a beautiful place to go to in Venice. Oh yeah, and you can also have a conversation... The music isnt obnoxiously loud yet just enough there to let you feel like youre groovin.

As someone who works in PR and events, I entertain a lot and often at new restaurants in NY and LA. I ate at Felix during their very first week and it exceeded all expectations. The decor is as warm and inviting as the front of house staff, which sets the tone for your dining experience. Stand out dishes were the Pappardelle Bolognese and the Trofie, a flavorful yet delicate pesto pasta and my all time favorite the Fiori de Zucca (squash blossoms). Watching Chef Evan Funke hand rolling the pasta from the glass enclosed kitchen was very cool. There is a lot of passion that goes into Felix and it comes through in every way. Congrats!

Seriously the best pasta I have ever had... takes me back to my travels through Italy. Evan Funke has outdone himself. Not to mention, we had the best waiter. She was super informed on both wine and pairing with the meal. We had a few people in our group who do not eat pasta and one vegetarian. While they seriously missed out, they had no problem devouring the salads, veggies and lamb chops. Oh, please send me the squash blossoms - never remove them from your menu!! We will be back as soon as we can get another reservation!

I had a phenomenal dining experience at Felix. The decor is elegant, the service is impeccable and the food is superb. I was made to feel like a valued patron, as I was served with attention to detail. The pasta dishes reminded me of my mothers home cooking. In fact, I was reliving my dining experiences in Italy. The ingredients are fresh and flavourful. Evan Funke is a pasta "maestro". Felix Trattoria is a dream come true to Venice, California.

Felix is amazing! The food and service are absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is great, and I love that you can watch the chefs hand make the pasta right in front of your eyes. We tried the pasta, bread, pizza, drinks and dessert - all perfect! Another person in my party lived in Rome for almost a year and said it reminds him of exactly what Italian food is supposed to taste like. Felix is definitely going to become my new date night spot. :)

Dining at Felix is, in a word, transporting. As an individual of Italian heritage and as a lover of Italian food I would consider myself very familiar with this cuisine, and I can say without hesitation that every bite reminded me of the fresh and bold flavours of Italy. Felix is truly a gem, not only in the Venice neighbourhood but in all of LA. I cannot wait to come again!
