Having read a number of reviews on Google that nearly put me off, the lazy side of me decided to give Junnoon a go as it was pretty much the closest place to my hotel. Other criticisms are that bookings are not dealt with well? Im afraid I cant comment there, I was a walk in. The food is not Indian? Well, if your looking for a Chicken Madras with Pilau rice, then this is not the place for you. That said however... The food is a play on Indian foods, which are both interesting and fun. The service was perfectly timed (not good for a speedy lunch maybe, but perfect for a romantic night out, or conversation over dinner). Actually the service was superb, the level of knowledge about the food and wine were great, and enhanced the experience beautifully. We went for the Prix Fixe menu, paired with wine. The pairings on a whole were great, and the food well presented and prepared. The service from our server was out of this world. I could only recommend Junnoon to all.

We visited with a large group from work for a dinner celebration. The food preparation was pretty good. They had some different preparation dishes instead of the regular north Indian list. I am planning to visit it again with the family to check out their veg menu. The only thing I would do different is not follow the waiters suggestion, let us say almost a gentle nudge, to take a fixed menu for the whole group. We should have allowed everyone to order their own dishes and then share family style. Though chaotic, that would have been more creative and fun.

We went in one night after a long day of work. The hostess said that they were all booked up, and we could sit at the bar. So we did. However, the place never filled up for the next two hours. Even though the food was excellent, it does concern me that it seemed like the hostess judged our tired appearances. The cocktails are wonderful, but the wine list is sparse. Make sure to order some of the appetizers. Some of them—like the scallops—were better than the main dishes.

A nice beautiful fine dining Indian place. We loved the quick and prompt service! The menu items were very limited when compared to other Indian restaurants. The 2 vegetarian entrees we had were mixed vegetable curry and one more with eggplant.. The eggplant one was awesome and the mixed veg curry was mediocre. The rice wasnt cooked well, the naans and kulchas were amazing though! All in all, you could go their for your indian fine dining fix!

They took me in for lunch at nearly closing time. Very accommodating. I ask for Vindaloo which was off menu, and they made it for me SWEET! I had mango lassie with lamb Vindaloo and traditional nanns. It was delicious, I make my own Vindaloo at home very spicy. They made and excellent Vindaloo every bit as spicy as my own. They took very good care of me ***** the best!

Ordered a Chicken Tikka Kati Roll for takeout via OrderAhead. Their standard prep time was 20 minutes, but I ended up waiting another 10 after arriving. Normally this would be understandable since its lunchtime but the restaurant was empty except for a small party that was finishing up their meal. The Roll was pretty good, so Im willing to give them another try.

$$$.. Decent food, horrible service!! The food took for ever, they did not serve bread for 15 min while the food got cold, had to ask for water a couple of time also. They did not want to accept multiple credit cards --- for a table of 8 !! The manager wanted extra gratuity to accept more credit cards. The manager was super rude.. Never coming back again...!

Walked in because of the lunch buffet (12.95) sign in front of it. The selections are slightly fewer than nearby Darbar Indian kitchen (129 Lytton), but they are good for sampling their food quality. Comparing these two Indian food, the environment dinning here is better and the waiters keep asking if you need more Naan. A full service bar is also provided.

Went there for a Sunday buffet. The experience was quite underwhelming! - Very limited food options - Taste wasnt great - Too much oil for our taste Staff was courteous initially. However, he ran after me for the tip after I signed the check. The way he questioned us for not tipping made the experience worse.

This is more-or-less what you would expect from an upscale Indian restaurant: thoughtful dishes that are slight variations on traditional Indian cuisine. I recommend the King Trumpet Mushrooms & Snap Peas. It was delicious with the right amount of heat for Indian food, that is to say, a lot.

For me this place was a let down. The food was average, the service was friendly but the waiter couldnt make any decent suggestions. The food came out way too quickly which worried me about how fresh it could be and to be honest it was a below average eating experience considering the price.

Good food. Enjoyed the eggplant curry, and cauliflower beluze. Cashew curry was good too, only the koftas were a bit plain. Service was friendly. Some elements of the decor could do with updating: the wall next to our table was looking rather stained.

Great atmosphere! Delicious lunch buffet! Kind and attentive service. Lots of variety in curries. Had great salads and fresh fruit. Best nann I have ever had. It was fresh and crispy on the bottom and fluffy on the top.

Far to expensive for what they serve. Compared to other indian restaurants I have been to, food was only acceptable. Service was rather slow. Will never go there again.

I was there for their weekend buffet and food was too bland. Very less variety and buffet counter is too cramped. 2* rating for the ambience and location.

Mediocre food. Mediocre service. Had to wait 15 min for an order of 1 naan. Manager was argumentative when given feedback about food.

The food is very tasty. The staff are not very polite. They are stern. The staff could do better. The 9 grain roti is really good.

I was disappointed by this meal. It felt like the decor was better than the food, which isnt a good characteristic in a restaurant.

One of the hidden gems around that area. Very tasty food. Taking away 1 star for the ambience which is not so good in some times.

Very limited vegetarian food options. I tried buffet and palak paneer dish was okay. I have tasted much better at other places.
