If you are into the show boat imitation crab and mayo dishes smothered in secret sauce that floats around the bar in little bamboo boats....this is not the place for you. There is a place on Ventura Blvd that specializes in this stuff. Tell Sal I said Hola! Me, I like fresh fish, simple but interesting flavors, and not much else. There are a couple of really good Sushi Restaurants in Simi...do not want to take away from them either, and recommend you stop at a number of them to find the one that blows your boat. O2 does it for me. Aside from the Sushi, I do partake in a few of their rolls. Simi Roll, Salmon Radish Roll are my favs. Some say the service is slow. I think that is the wrong term. More like..."Relaxed". I pay big bucks for this stuff, and like to take my time, eat slow, have fun, meet people. If you are in that much of a hurry, you are missing more than good Sushi. My ONLY complaint...I wish they would bring me hot towels instead of cold ones, but you can ask them to nuke them a little for you. Also...look at the kitchen menu too! Some really nice things there as well.

While the food is actually not bad, it is very expensive and the service is unbelievably atrocious. Despite the fact that this restaurant is a literal 2 minute walk from our home, we have only been there 4 or 5 times in the last 2 years -- and sushi is one of our favorite foods and we eat out 2-4 times a week. Our first time there we waited to have our name put in for 20 minutes before we found out that you have sign yourself in!!! What restaurant doesnt want to greet you and take your name?? After being seated, the service is about as bad as many of the subpar asian restaurants: no greetings, long wait for beverages service, long wait to order, longer wait to get your meal, long wait for the check and for them to bring it back... Perhaps the sushi bar has better service weve never tried it, but table service is without a doubt unacceptable. For good sushi, western style service, and prices in the area, Id recommend Blue Fin Grill off Madera Rd.

The worst experience w the waitress at H2o . The owner was amazing and the staff apologetic for the cluelessness of our waitress.... "SUE" From the start, Sue was absolutely clueless she arrives at the table. Doesent introduce herself, makes no mention of any specials. Then leaves without a word. I was seated with No menu Cold sake I had to Ask for my salad twice No drink No sugar Food was beautiful and boringly bland She was an absolute zombie. The owner came over and I let her know exactly what we experienced. She was very apologetic . then to my surprise the other waiter came over and wanted to thank me for finally telling the management how this woman sue is like this everyday. "I couldnt of said it better when I said as we left the restaurant you mark my words this woman Sue is going to cost you a lot of money. Guaranteed. " I would never recommend this place I would steer clear and you should not go there.

By far best quality sushi! My good friend owned a sushi bar, sold it, and worked here for a bit and even he said they have great quality fish and products. You can taste that its excellent quality. I always have great service. All the sushi bar guys know me and act like a friend (even the ones that havent helped me before). Waitresses are great and the owner seems to treat us well too knowing were good customers. Everyone Ive ever taken here has been impressed. And anyone I bring it up to says "I love that place!" Worth the money.

Great food! Horrible service. Last couple of times weve gone there for lunch it took 30 minutes to get our food. The cashier has been serving tables. He needs to stick to cashiering. Id still go there for take-out but Im not inclined to go back there for lunch and sit and wait and be ignored by the server. Not sure if management has changed or something in the past couple of months because it use to be a lot better.

This is by far my favorite sushi place in Simi Valley. The fish is fresh and they have a good variety. The service is great, the employees are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend their hot plum sake. Its my favorite drink to order and have not found anything like it at any other sushi place.

Food was pretty good. The only complaint was how degrading the owner of the restaurant was to the employees. The method of direction from the owner to the employees is quite humiliating. There is no need to yell at the servers in that manner in front of customers. Otherwise the food is ok.

This is the best place for sushi in Simi Valley. They have a good variety for people who dont like sushi either. The fish is always very fresh and the people there are wonderful. The service can be a bit slow when it is busy, but the food makes it well worth it.

My husband and I sit at the sushi bar every Friday. The fish is excellente quality. Very fresh and our sushi chef Thomas always is fun and creative with our selection. This is by far the best in Simi Valley. Ps the fried calamari is great.

Really nice staff, nice decor, great range of choices. Appetizers are great. Good fish to rice ratio. Top tier sushi is definitely not a Simi Valley thing, but this is a great spot for the area.

This is our go to sushi place in Simi. The taste and quality are as good as a Nobu but without the snobbery. Great dishes like yellowtail jalapeño with yuzu best I have ever had.

I tried their salmon and tuna sushi. Very good indeed. The cuts were straight, slightly larger than the rice, with a good bit of wasabi. Perfect for what I was after.
