For some strange reason, Google Maps displays the icon for this restaurant at the wrong location. I believe the address that is displayed is correct but the icon displays where there is a Union 76 gas station. The Red Lobster sits across the street (Van Owen Blvd) from the gas station. As its name would suggest, Red Lobster is a seafood restaurant. It is a fairly large chain restaurant with locations across the United States so most people are probably familiar with it. They offer a wide variety of seafood dishes with some being unique to their chain. For the most part their seafood dishes are pretty good to good and a few of their own unique dishes are quite good. It is doubtful you are going to run across a bad dish as long as the chefs at that particular location are following Red Lobsters guide lines when preparing the dish. This is a large chain restaurant and every dish is tested, focus grouped and retested many times before it makes it to their menu. That is part of the problem with their dishes though. The creativity gets tested and focus grouped right out of the dish to ensure it fits across a wide range of palettes. The end result is a seafood dish that tastes okay but is lacking any real excitement or creativity. In other words, this is very SAFE seafood. While there is nothing wrong with being safe, there is something wrong with paying the prices they want for seafood dishes that are just hoo hum and sorta bland. This location is clean and the servers are very friendly and professional. This is part of a large corporate chain though and I would suspect that all of their locations must toe the corporate line and policies.

I come here quite often usually at least once a month and usually more often than that. I do enjoy their food for some people it can be pricey but I really enjoy it. Most the time they take care of us and everythings good there have been some occasions where I was disappointed for the service. But the majority of the time this is not the case and everything goes pretty well. Sometimes they can be a bit of a wait for a table at other times if you come at the right time theres not much weight at all. If you dont want to get a big weight vest to come before dinner or right after lunch

I ordered the shrimp and bacon with a veggie medley on the side. Presentation was nice, however the shrimp tasted like it had been frozen, the tiny piece of bacon was not crispy at all, and it tasted like it came out of a microwave. The mashed potatoes were decent (pretty hard to mess up mashed potatoes) but the veggie medley was a disaster. They put two huge chunks of tomato (literally half the tomato) and I could not even recognize what everything else was. Over priced, not worth it, dont waste your time.

Nicholi was a betty professional patient waiter who did a fabulous job at making my birthday a special event. He was patient with our older crowd and explain things very well. The food was very tasty and substitutions were made to accommodate our taste. The environment was pleasant and the biscuits were delicious. I forgot to print out a coupon that I had and they honored it even though it was only on my phone. I highly recommend the Red Lobster on Vanowen and Fallbrook.

Horrible food. My boyfriend ordered a medium rare steak and received a well done steak. I myself ordered crab legs and once I received them they were so watered down, and my corn was refrigerator cold smh. The only thing that was good was the bread and fountain drink. The manager was also very helpful he did all he could to satisfy my boyfriend and I, too bad he couldnt fix the chefs. Would never recommend this place nor come again.

This place has very limited space for sitting we had large party of people and had reservation also waited about an hour, which they said another 15 minutes and we are still trying to seat you ! That is when we decided to go to another restaurant and I should say wish we would make that decision on first 15 minutes wait since it was the amazing food, service, staff and great experience, turnout to be amazing restaurant

I went for dinner with my son. He ordered the kids chicken fingers and I ordered Salmon, Lobster Tail and Shrimp. I substituted scallops for the shrimp with no extra charge. We received our food quickly and it was wonderful. Well worth the money spent. Everything was hot, well seasoned. A perfect dinner. Our waiter Max was knowledgeable and pleasant. I will definitely visit again and I highly recommend this location.

Food was good but more so was the customer service...when i had gotten home i noticed my gold band( ring) had fallen off i went into panic mode & thought it was gone.i called the restaurant hoping they had it.......and THEY DID A server had turned in to to management.=) this makes me believe in hope n kindness & love A BIG THANK YOU TO THE PERSON WHO FOUND IT....it belonged to my Grama who has passed ....

Wow Peter is a piece of work. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and got a cup.... Barley any clams or potatoes in it. Then he asks how Im doing and I give him a thumbs up while Im looking at the menu trying to decide what I want, and he just brings me my check. So I guess he decided I was done. I paid and I left. Im still hungry but clearly Peter didnt get the hint when I was looking through the menu.

Brought my wife here who swears by Red Lobster. For some reason, the food seemed different. Well, we found out the seafood is being sautéed now starting this week. Definitely different and definitely noticeable. I nor my wife liked it. Different strokes n such... The manager was was very accommodating. He took care of my wifes concerns and made us secure in coming back again.

Waitress disappearing no where to be found. Wifes drink wasnt fully blended then was told she was using the smaller straw thats why the ice was getting stuck...its a blended drink! Watered down lemonade. Took 10 mins to get my mashed potatoes after I had already received my meal. There are a ton of people running around but it seems as none of them are working. Food was ok.

The food and service was horrible my wife was complaining to me about the lack of taste in the fresh fish she ordered while I was listening to the staff behind me talk about diarrhea ! After we sent the fish back the manager came out and asked if we wanted something else and not once asked what was wrong with the food

We came here on a Saturday. My wife ordered the Bay Harbor Bake and I ordered the chicken sandwich with no cheese. The pasta my wife had was plain and 3 out of 8 mussels were still sealed. My chicken sandwich was just okay. Way overpriced mediocre food. Their 1.25lns lobster is only good dish in my opinion.

For seafood like this, Id go to a Chinese retaurant. Seriously... the prices you pay here are expensive. Id rather go to a Chinese place and pay cheaper prices and get more for my money. But once in a while, its ok to come here. I like the bread here. Not too shabby. Everything else costs like an arm and a leg.
