Summary: A very busy place. Some great beers at amazing prices. Food is actually really good considering it is bar cuisine. Service is friendly and attentive. Plan on waiting 45 minutes to an hour for a table. Have a beer while waiting! Parking along the street in metered spots. I came here with my wife and her parents on a Friday evening after a solid day of wine tasting. We arrived at around 6:30 and the place was already packed. We put in our names and were told the wait would be 45 minutes (as opposed to the usual 2 hours). While waiting, we got a couple of beers at the very crowded bar (which took a while). Two glasses of Salvation (~9% ABV) for about $7.50. What a deal!!! We waited outside within the barriers and talked until I got the text message that our table was ready, about 45 minutes later. We were then promptly seated in a quieter part of the restaurant on the left from the entrance (which was still really loud), and asked if we wanted anything to drink. My wife and Mother-in-law asked to try both of the blonde options, while my Father-in-law tried Consecration and something else. Our server brought the samples and we made our selections. We then selected our food items. We started with the Beer Bites cheese bread appetizer, which came with some marinara sauce. The cheese bread was nice and soft, very cheesy, and tasty. The marinara sauce complemented well. We also shared a large caesar salad, which was good and standard. We then got a large Abbey pizza, which was both filling and delicious. Great ingredients, excellent textures and flavors, and decent portions. Not the cheapest pizza in the world, but it was really good. All throughout our meal, we were well attended by our server, who brought us water, extra sauces, ensured we were content, and took away items as they were done. Ultimately, this was an enjoyable meal and a great way to end the day.

Well, pretty much the only thing this place has going for them is their beer. My wife works across the street and when the weather is good would walk to work, with me picking her up in the afternoon. We stopped in several time, I even bought a growler as I enjoy their beers, but no beer in the world is good enough to override THEIR SERVICE!!!!!! Routinely I watch as a bartender walks past me and other customers, tells me to wait, and then takes their time having a talk with someone at the other end of the bar. I looked back and in the roughly 10-15 times I have been in there in the last 6 months, I have never had anything that approaches good service. I kept going back as the beer is good and my wife works across the street, but the service just kept getting worse and worse, not to mention the attitudes of the bartenders. Coupled with their very substandard food, I do not recommend going here. Better to try 3rd Street Ale works or shucks, drive down to Petaluma and go Lagunitas, a brewery where they treat the customers like customers and not something they scraped off the bottom of their shoe. Again, this was not a 1 time bad service situation, I gave the multiple chances, and they continued to fail, and do so miserably.

I love beer. Those of you who knows me knows that I keep a few bottles of the good stuff at home for special occasions. Of course, Russian River Brewing is no exception. I like to note that I had Pliny maybe 10 years ago and it did change my taste pallet a bit. Of course, I consider this brewery one of the ten must visit breweries in my lifetime. Its so nice to be able to cross of one from my list. So for my 700th review, I solute you Russian River Brewing! Time time I went in late June they were out of growlers. One of the workers was offering to sell his used growler to a customer. Sucks for me because I probably wouldve bought one bought instead I bought 3 Plinys ($5) and 1 Supplication ($12) and a keychain ($3). Also sucks for me because I had another 400 miles to drive so all I had was tasters and it was Sunday morning at 11am when they just opened. It was happy hour all day and I couldnt take advantage of it. Next time I will make a day out of it by visiting here and nearby wineries and getting a hotel room. Just to note, by 11:30 when I left, the brewery was already half full. I love your beers, keep up the good work. I have yet to taste Pliny the Younger.

Plenty of people already know this place as the Mecca of craft brewing. Their double IPA Pliny the Elder probably has the biggest following but I would argue that what they are doing with Belgian style and sour beers is far more complex and interesting. Doing a tasting flight of the Belgians and sours is a rare journey through the diversity of flavors possible with expertly crafted beer. People who have been put off by sours in the past should give these a chance as the difference between RR sours and others is night and day. In a comment to a friend I suggested that "comparing Russian River sour beers to other American sour beers is like comparing a neurosurgeon to a blind man with a hammer." However, even if you are not intending to do some serious beer tasting, this is a fantastic place to get some tasty food as well. Their pizzas are crafted with as much care and attention to detail as the beers and I have never had one that wasnt well worth the wait (the menu tells you it will take a while). If you find yourself in the area do yourself a favor and drop on by.

Love this pub. Really, just love it. I am a big fan of IPAs, so this place is one of my favorite brew pubs. Their Blind Pig is just superb with fantastic hoppiness. Their pizza has always been excellent. Ive always been happy with the service, so I have no complaints about the Russian River Brewing Company. Well, I guess two complaints. I hate the sour beers, but thats no big deal since I understand that there are people that like them, and as long as they provide an interesting selection of good tasting beers, Im willing to overlook the sours. Second, every year early in February, the place goes insane when they release their Pliny the Younger. The lines go around the block and you cant get in to the place in anything like a reasonable time. But, thats only two (or so) weeks out of the year, so I can overlook that as well.

I love the food.. I love the beer... but the people that work at night are straight up d*ckheads thats why they got 3 stars.. you can have good food and great beer but thats not what makes your establishment good, your service is what makes it great. I stayed from the afternoon shift to the night shift. The afternoon shift was great, the night shift I watched the guy sitting next to me and his party leave because of how rude they were to him. The guy asked what the best beer they had was and the bartender literally rolled his eyes and walked away.. thats not how you bartend.. I love Russian River and Ive been there 10+ times but the bartender service gets worse everytime you guys really need to do something about it.. I see these other reviews and it makes me realize Im not the only one whos experienced this.
