Not a good first impression. Ordered a pizza to go. Largest is 14" (basically a medium). $19.99. Little expensive but if the taste is good, generally that wont be a problem. It was ready about 5 minutes after expected - no problem with that. The server opened the box top for me to make sure it was the correct pizza. It was burnt to brittle black around the entire perimeter, permeating the interior up to about an inch. I pointed this out to the server who tried to brush it off as being because their pizzas are wood-fired and supposed to be that way. I had to inform the youngster that Ive had plenty of wood-fired pizzas before and Ive never had one served that was that burnt. He then grudgingly admitted that yes, they did seem to overcook and burn this one "a little". I didnt appreciate him trying to push it off as normal, hoping that I wasnt familiar with wood-fired pizza. We just stood there for a couple seconds - there was no offer to get me another one or knock a couple dollars off. Since I had kids at home waiting for me, I didnt feel like waiting there for a half hour so I took it. Once home, the pizza, aside from the burnt areas, was fair to good. 6 out of 10. It is not a hearty pizza. Of all the medium pizzas Ive had in recent memory, it was by far the smallest. it slid around in the medium size pizza box with lots of room around it. More like an over-sized small. Next, the pizza was light on toppings and sauce. It basically had about 1/2 the volume/weight of most pizzas. What normally would fill us left us still hungry. Taste was good. Where the crust wasnt burnt, it was fine. The sausage was tasty and the prosciutto was good. But it was not a great pizza as it should have been, considering the small size and high price. Overall, certainly not a good value and the attitude of the server was poor. Simply put, there are too many better pizza options to bother going here again.

Management needs to listen up! 1) if many seats are open, there should be no wait for customers. 2) youre understaffed, too many tables per waitress. Family came on Sunday at lunch time and only saw our waitress to collect our bill after she took our order. We had to ask another waiter for refills (original waitress was covering all the outside and half the inside tables). 3) when youre seated, all the drinks, silverware, etc are put in a pile. What a mess. 4) for being 1/3 empty, you were out of baby high chairs. 5) everything service wise, seemed like a minimum job. Oh and the check/CC holders were falling apart 6) food was maybe a 2/5 Ive had better woodfire pizza in Portland. The bacon was way undercooked. Salads were decent. Positive: bathrooms were clean. All these things start at the top (owner/management), and by training, caring for your employees theyll learn to make it a great place to work, which will make customers and employees treat each other better. A few of these things are mentioned in previous comments, over months and years I read. So it appears management doesnt care, thinks its the employees they have are the problem. So until they start carrying, we wont be back and I dont recommend this place to anyone. There is much better in Beaverton/Tigard.

So I used to like B.J. Willys but on a recent trip that all changed. I went in on August 1st, 2014 at about 5:15 P.M. to have a meal with a friend at the bar before seeing a movie at Cinetopia. We ordered the nachos, pork sliders and potato wedges. Halfway through the nachos my friend stops and was staring at the nachos. I stopped and looked where he was staring and there was a metal nut sitting right in the middle of the nachos. We brought it to the attention of the bartender and with very little concern said "Hmph, Ill take this back and look into getting someone fired." He returned with a new plate of nachos and no explanation or even an apology. Once we received the bill, the only thing comped was the nachos themselves. Talk about doing the very least possible. Either one of us could have easily swallowed the nut or bit down on it and broken a tooth. Luckily for them we didnt make a huge fuss but I had to chuckle that they only comped the nachos and didnt offer even the slightest apology. Not impressed at all. I wont be visiting B.J. Willys ever again.

The food is good but the service is terrible. I live close to this restaurant so Ive gone in for lunch, dinner, and happy hour about 8 times, and Ive gotten to-go food about 10 times so far over the past year. I really wanted to give them a chance, but the only thing consistent is the terrible customer service. Every single time, whether its to pick up, order on the phone, or dine in. The to go pizza orders are often burned or they get the order wrong. If you walk in dont expect to be acknowledged or served right away- usually you have to wait for at least 5-10 minutes before someone will help you (but clearly other staff sees you there waiting.) Drinks or water very rarely get refilled. When they make a mistake (such as a wrong order/partial order, severely burned crust, etc) they never apologize, they just avoid the situation entirely and pretend like it never happened. For the price they charge for food I expected better customer service from them.

My husband and I sat down at the bar for the late night happy hour. It was not busy so we expected the service could have been better than we received. Their Bellini tasted like a orange Cool aid drink or worse. My husband ordered a combination small pizza, which tasted like made from JIFFY PIZZA CRUST mix, and there is no way you could call it as a woodfired pizza since the bell peppers on top of the pizza were uncooked (raw) and lack of woodfired flavors. The bar is in the great location, and we hope some other restaurants will take over the place for the better food and drinks. For a positive note, I liked the happy hour burger they served. But Im not sure why they are still in business claiming as a woodfired pizza & pub place.

I knew as soon as we stepped foot into this place, that anything bad that could happen DID HAPPEN. As we slowly entered the doorway, there was no one there to greet us. We stood there for a good 5 minutes before finally being seated. Then from there, we waited 10 more minutes before out waitress finally came and took our order. When we got our appetizer, the fondue was curdled and the fries were cold and soggy- like they didnt even cook the damn potato! Then when we got our pizza, the waitress slowly placed it on the table and she saw our disgusted look. The pizza was burnt to a crisp and she just walked away and avoided our table until we had to wave her down and ask for our bill. Never again B.J. Willys!

Never never again! We ordered appetizers they brought us the little plates to use. The plates still had food stuck on them, top and bottom. I asked for a set of new plates as I watched the lady sift through what should have been the clean pile for actually clean plates. Note the new set of plates that we received were still dirty. My husband finished his beer to find out even his beer glass had food stuck in it. The wings were just nasty. We should of just walked out before are food arrived at the table it was that bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Looking at the reviews I see others feel the same. This place is so dirty we lost are appetite! Bad bad dont eat there!
