A solid pub/bar. This place is a good mix of old style Pub and more current, or Hip if you prefer, place to gather with food/booze and entertainment. There is often good live music and the drinks sometimes can be quite good. I have been visiting here infrequently over years because I dont "party" and this place is usually loud and full of folks who are "partying hard", which is fine if that is what you like. It is an anchor along with a few neighbors along the 4th Street corridor where the party people come in mass during the usual weekend times. The outdoor seating is small, but nice because of its location and you can walk through the place through the front/back doors to parking in various areas which is also nice. The food is standard, or okay, for its style, but folks tend to mainly come because it is a full bar.

Who in their right mind doesnt love Stout Brothers? This is the bar that the Boondock Saints would frequent if they went to college. After a road trip down to Santa Rosa to visit family I decided to stop by Stout Brothers to relax and enjoy some quiet Irish Whiskey and music. I couldnt have been more wrong. The place was packed and not in a bad way. My experience went from expecting a quiet time to getting loud and rowdy and loving every second of it. Their burgers are stellar, especially when you wash them down with some Guinness. If you want to have a quiet time, this probably isnt the place for you, but if you love to have a GREAT time then this is the best place to be. Talk about a great place to blow off some steam after a long week at work. Im still telling my friends about my night there.

this spot was my watering hole for so long. many good times i spent at this place and then something happened. the food quality went down. drinks took longer to get and a few times i had to tell the bartender how to make my drink which was a simple sailor jerry and coke or a drop shot. i was sad to see today that they are closed on sunday and monday. sunday which was the best day to go with happy hour going all day and the patio was a great spot to people watch and enjoy the sun. sadly after many many of times i have tried to give my favorite place a second chance i will no longer be giving them my business anymore. good luck to the business and i hope you can earn back the trust of your regulars.

I recently visited this Pub during a wine road trip. I initially suggested we visit this bar to have a night away from red varietals we had been indulging in. I did not anticipate this place would have the quality fare they had. Although they had your typical bar food, Stout Brothers gave an exquisite spin on the classics. The Fish and Chips were cooked with an exquisitely crispy crust while maintaining a flaky and moist piece of fish. As good as the food was, lets be honest, I wanted to visit Stout Brothers for their beer. I was happy as a clam to see such an extensive beer selection. Bottom line, Stout Brothers Irish Pub is well worth the visit if you are in the area!

I have been coming here for years for their food. Good pub fare is offered here. My favorite dish would have to be their shepards pie. They use ground lamb which makes it a shepards pie and not a cottage pie (just beef). It is hard to find an authentic shepards pie in Santa Rosa strangely enough. Besides their food, which the full menu is delicious, they have wonderful service here. I came in during the afternoon and was greeted and waited upon by the bartender. The bartender seemed to be the only front end staff of the restaurant during my visit. He did an amazing job, very kind, polite, and helpful. I highly recommend Stout Brothers.

Im not a beer drinker but this place is a mecca for those who are and they also serve any other drink you want, so dont feel its not for you. The atmosphere is pretty authentic--Id like to see it on Saint Patricks Day! We sampled some snacks which were good. I dont know about the rest of the food but people we talked to said its good so next time well try something. Patrons are younger. We went on a Saturday night and it was crowded but we did get a table. Its noisy so you cant hold a long conversation, but you can people watch and I understand that theres live music and dancing on one or two nights a week. Id go back.

Stout Brothers is in my hometown of Santa Rosa, CA. I have been hittin the joint up since the ripe ol age of 21, in fact, I made an appearance there on my 21st-birthday-bar-crawl! (Its been a few years now I guess, lol! Dont try to do the math!") Back then, the place was brand new, had just opened, and it wowed the city and was just what 4th street needed! It quickly became one of the go-to musts of the downtown party scene! Its always packed (in a good way) and the food is great. The bartenders and servers are friendly and earn every cent of their tips, lol! I always have fun when I visit Stout Brothers!

I was passing through Santa Rosa en route to Dillon Beach and HAD to stop. As always, Sout Bros didnt disappoint. I had three people with me (I was driving) and we all had appetizers and they had various beers and liquors. Everyone was happy. Thats something about Stout Bros - they have a really cool "liquor list" - with a ton of various liquors (some Ive never heard of), so its a great place to sample new things. Definitely try their food. Very good bar food. Ive seen some reviews about it being packed. We were there somewhat early, so it wasnt crowded or noisy at all.

Old school look but the music and crowd are local. Non traditional. Small bar that seats about 10 ppl. Menu is small. Waitress points out burgers as the specialty. If you want an Irish pub this isnt it. As the post a bit ago, you can tell by the conversations of the locals its a fight bar. So basically do not expect much. I read the negative reviews and ignored them to my dismay. I am starting to realize that those who write bad reviews might actually have a point. Test it if you will but I can tell you that looks deceive. And uh...why is my waitress drunk at 5pm..

This is our hangout for Fridays and have been going back for years. Great selection of beers and good food as well. I’m a big fan of the bangers and mash - never disappoints. Went there for St. Patrick’s Day one year and it was a blast. The whole place was charged and the staff was working double time to get everyone taken care of and they did a great job with a huge crowd. I usually try to get a seat upstairs because there can be a lot of people coming and going, but they won’t forget about you. And try the smokehouse wings - really tasty.

This pub is awesome. The drinks arent expensive, and the bartenders know their stuff. On top of that, theyre great to just chat with, and despite the place being busy, theyll always give individual attention. The food is good and the service is friendly. The general atmosphere is perfect both for groups and for a night out by yourself. Basically, this pub has good food and drinks and is welcoming and very customer-oriented not just from a business perspective -- exactly what a good pub should be.
