Came here with a friend! They have an interesting ordering system. You order at the front, and then you go to the cash register, where you can sample some sides before paying. Then, you just get a number and sit and wait for your food to be brought to you. My friend and I shared the kurobuta pork belly banh mi and the prosciutto and marys chicken. Both were pretty good sandwiches! The pork belly banh mi was a little hard to eat because a lot of the contents kept falling out, but it was still good. The prosciutto and chicken was also very good and easy to eat. In my opinion, definitely liked the prosciutto and chicken better, but honestly cant go wrong with either. The samples were great as well! Didnt feel like ordering sides because I was pretty sure the sandwiches would be filling -- and they were! But definitely recommend sampling! They are very nice about it and give you big portions to sample. Parking may be a little hard to find because had to street park.

I love Mendocino Farms! Theyre an incredible option if youre looking for a good variety of healthy options as well as great choices for those looking for something heartier. Its great for families and bigger groups for this reason. The staff is always super friendly here which makes a big difference for me - theyre more than happy to provide recommendations and samples of any sides youd like to try. Their side salads are delicious and one of my favorite parts - very similar to Lemonade though with a smaller selection. The sandwiches and salads are the biggest draws of Mendocino Farms in my opinion - theyre all very well balanced with delicious fresh bread options and perfectly cooked meat. My favorite so far has been the steak BLT on pretzel bread. Theyre also very affordable for something so fresh and healthy near the promenade. Definitely recommend!

Love this place. It was a recommendation from a co-worker that I go out of my way to have lunch here while I was in town and Im very grateful I was told about it. I work at LAX so I had to get a rental car to get here but it was worth the trip. Because I knew I wouldnt get the chance to go back the following day, I got lunch that day and a sandwich for lunch the next day. I appreciate the non meat selections and the option to taste anything from the deli counter area as a side. The portions were huge and there was plenty for lunch and dinner if I wasnt enjoying the sandwich enough to stop and save some for later. I will be back next time Im in LA.

Delicious sandwiches! My boyfriend opted for the Jack Lucky - which he loved - and I went with the Horny Hapa. My sandwich was delish! The cranberry and cream cheese combination was awesome, and the meat and bread were really good. The sandwiches were also huge! Definitely the best bang for the buck. I also really enjoyed the potato salad, which has bacon in it - and we all know bacon makes everything better! Dont skip this place if you find yourself in the Marina District and are hungry for a yummy, filling bite.

These are a few of my favorite things! Every time I eat here I am filled with happiness. Their curry cous cos and their pork belly bahn mi blow my mind!! The staff is super knowledgable about their products and are happy to help at all times. I like the wide sharing tables and the overall ambiance of their restaurant. Santa Monicas location is very accessible. Their food is phenomenal. This is hands down my favorite sandwich spot in L.A.!!

Their sandwiches are to DIE for! I initially had their Peruvian steak sandwich and it was a bit on the spicy side for me. I then tried the no fried chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. I finally tried the steak sandwich on the pretzel bun (hold the pork bacon) with the peruvian sauce on the side. Sooo freaking good I devoured it in 5min and forgot to take a photo. First time in a very long time Ive been this excited over a salad. Ordered the Sophisticated Salad and OMG. So delicious. Great flavors and textures wholly satisfying. Staff was great and very personable and friend. Made eating there enjoyable. I loved my food so much I ordered another to go for tomorrow. Glad we found this place and SO excited theres another one closer to home too. Thank you guys!

One of the best Mendocino Farms in the Los Angeles area! Trademark friendly & super fast service combined with delicious menu items for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans!!! Cozy outside seating area available as well as parking. Saturdays and Sundays can be a bit of a challenge for parking, but your meal will be ready in record time which makes up for the potential parking war battle Lol

What I love about Mendocino farms is the consistency around service, quality, and sustainable practices. One can visit any one of their stores and expect the same excellent food and service. My favorite is the Couscous (it never gets old). I always get it as a side when I get my sandwiches. I also prefer the buckwheat bread for everything.

The sandwiches are good, they can be on the expensive side for what they are. If youre going for lunch try to leave the office 15 to 20 min early if you can, otherwise expect an annoying line filled with self absorbed people asking alot of questions about the sandwiches because they cant be bothered to read the menu.

Love this place for a casual lunch in Santa Monica. Incredible sandwiches (my favorite is the steak BLT) and delicious salads as well. Super nice staff, plenty of seating. They also have 45 minute validated parking in the back. Highly recommend to eat some great lunch in Santa Monica.

Sooooooo good! Everything at Mendocino is delicious and I love that they let you try samples from the deli salad case before you pay! Hardest part about this location is trying not to be tempted by Sidecar Donuts next door after youve had your healthy delicious lunch here!

Glad one of the best local LA sandwich chains made its way to Santa Monica. Try any sandwich here, but get mozzarella cheese. For some reason they melt it just right on their sandwiches here - almost reminds me of eating a sandwich at a relaxing cafe in Southern France.

Been here three times; great value on the sandwiches which are just amazing and could easily be priced at a higher point. The side salads are also pretty good. The lemonade is weird tho. Anyway, outstanding option for a quick, tasty and affordable weeknight.

One cannot deny the service here is extremely friendly. They have what seems to be too many staff that spoil you with attention. The food is always great at this chain. Slightly pricey but seemed fair for what you get.

The food here is delicious! I think their ordering system is pretty efficient. I like the space though its a bit loud. They had the heaters on outside midday, which was really nice because it happened to be a cold day.

Inconsistent quality. Sandwiches are usually excellent but occasionally downright nasty. They seem to have a lot of staff turn over. You can see the completed orders at the end of the counter. Look before you commit.
