If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! The menu selection is great, and the food is blissfully delicious, well worth the prices, but what most attracts me is that over 3/4 of their menu is safe for people who must be gluten-free! Because they offer gluten-free wraps, buns and bread, at least 72 of their menu selections are potentially gluten-free! I have never gotten ill from eating there, although regular options are prepared there too, so I know the staff is careful enough for average sensitivity. The owner works as hard as his employees, showing up before daybreak to prep the restaurant, then pitching in with the staff to take and fill orders. And did I mention the food is blissfully delicious?? If you have to be gluten-free, and can tolerate food prepared in the same areas as food containing gluten, and you have been missing fat burgers and stuffed wraps and piled-high sandwiches with mouthwatering ingredients, and you are in or near San Pedro, California, do yourself a huge favor and go there! And tell the owner to advertise his gluten-free-ness!! We need to know this place exists!!

A once good Sandwich restaurant had gone down hill fast. This is now one of the WORST places in San Pedro to get a sandwich - or any other food for that matter. Dont believe the positive reviews on Sandwich Saloon - this place is absolute crap. Their salads are horrible - they use cheap wilted lettuce. Their employees are right off the street and most dont speak English.The chicken they use tastes like bland dog food. I used to like this place, Ive lived in San Pedro for many decades. But a couple years ago this place burned down under mysterious circumstances (*cough* insurance fraud). And theyve never been the same since they opened under new management. If youre looking for a good sandwich on Gaffey Ave in San Pedro, do yourself a favor - go to one of the MANY other places that are close by. Bonellos Pizza, Buonos Pizza, Filippos Pizza, Hell even subway sandwiches, they all make better sandwiches than Sandwich Saloon. And if you want the best sandwich in the southbay do yourself a favor and drive about a half mile to Busy Bee Market and get the best sandwich in the world.

love this place very clean generous portions an very good staff working there ....unlike what the last guy DAN said the salads are very fresh n thier chicken is great i wouldnt know how dog food tastes but im sure if hes comparing it he must and maybe he should go back to eating dog food , the employees are not from the street they have homes like we all do he prolly just dont like mexicans but hate to break it to ya bud but in most kitchens an restaurants thats all your gonna find so maybe your Betta off staying home. and i never had a problem ordering from them in person or through the phone ....all that said the chinese chicken salad is great an their pastrami an california club are my favs i highly recommend.

The food was decent, not anything spectacular. Pay attention to prices and fine print. Special says half sandwich, soup or salad & a drink "starting at $8.95" (which is the average price of 1 sandwich)... but ordered 2 of these and somehow it totaled $30. Not informed of extra charges while being rung up either. There were no specifications of which sandwiches, soups or salads were included in this particular special.

Local San Pedro 80s-style interior sandwich shop. Only visited once. Tried their Chicken Salad Sandwich - excellent with a Mexican twist with peppercinis. (Not spicy). Chose the Fruits option with the combo (?). The fruits were fresh and sweet but smelled slightly fishy. Would still go back if back in the area. Free WiFi. Parking in the back and on the street in front.

Wide selection of food. Breakfast, Lunch, great desserts. OMG, the Chinese Chicken Salad. .... best in town. Worth the drive for that alone. Sandwichs always fresh. Burger, like I just BBQ. Myself - not your typical burger. Highly recommended. Clearly a local favorite - everyone is friendly. Like Cheers, but without the beer.

Had an amazing burger here. Thick, real patty, cooked perfectly and ridiculously good toppings. Solid fries. They forgot the macaroni salad I ordered, but the food quality still wins them 5 stars. A bit on the pricier side, but the quality is there.

The food was good. The service was so so. They messed up 2 of our orders. The garlic/feta fries were not worth it. The sweet potato fries are the best Ive ever had. The portions are big and could be shared easily.

If you have a hankering for a bacon-avocado turkey sandwich, your mouth will have a full on party. Paired with banana peppers, its absolutely derlishus. Give this moafuggin place a 10 if I could.

Good lunch spot in San Pedro. They have good sandwiches, salads and burgers. Their breakfast burritos are really good as well. Some things are a little pricey, but its a good spot.
