Really enjoyed my time here at The Original Saugus Cafe. Ive been here twice and both times were great. The place can get extremely packed so be sure to go there early and grab a spot to sit. I was lucky and found seats at the bar on my first visit. The second time we were not so lucky and had to force ourselves through the jam packed crowd. However we were able to find a booth later on in the night which was so much nicer. Love the whole airplane theme of the place. Drinks were pretty good as well. The one thing I love about this place is their music. Lots of classic 90s and 2000s tracks that brought me back to middle/high school. Definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area.

I love this place! Except for yesterday. New kid waiter, he was attempt to flirt he not only forgot the salad i ordered but i ordered a full size salad with chicken and avocado to go He bags a small box telling me that is the full size salad. I will not come whem the kid is unsupervised. He also didnt know my meal comes with dessert which was not offered. I will stick with the adults thank you. Same senirio last night. I ordered two speciality salads and the food was HALF what a normal order is. Confirmed we will not be back for anything other than breakfast.

Dingy place, we were in a group of five around 9am on a Saturday morning. Ordered roast beef sandwich, chicken tenders, bowl of fruit, eggs, and bloody marys. Nothing was good about any of it. Fruit was mushy, bloody marys were horrible and tasted like v8, roast beef sandwich was cold/frozen in the middle, and chicken tenders were hard, overcooked and mostly breading. Skip this place, service was mediocre and so is the atmosphere. Its probably known for being a dive bar and not a cafe.

Clean the place up! This place needs a deep cleaning! The floors are dirty, tables are sticky, the Service has really gone down hill! And Ive been going there for 14 years! Enough! The Bar area desperately needs paint. You would think with all the money this place pulls in, from the T.V. shows that use it, the owner would spend some money on paint! Also, all the windows are so dirty, you cant see out to the street!

I wanted something other than the only other option in the area (burgers) and found The Original Saugus Cafe on yelp. I had their wings and fries, which was a nice break from the typical hot wings. That Sauce was interesting, as the wings are served dry with a spice rub, and the sauce adds a sweet contrast. I screwed up, though...should have gotten their Mac n cheese. I will return!

New to town and the staff made me feel like I was one of the family. Meals are incredibly reasonable portions for price and was very well prepared by what I can only assume is a very prideful kitchen staff. Looking forward to many return visits. Staff are attentive and welcoming whether its packed or with time to breath between servicing each guest. Comfort food at its best...

A accidentally ended up here in the middle of a long, very late drive. People were friendly, meals were not bad, and the prices were pretty reasonable. Service was extremely slow this night (as in it took nearly 45 minutes to get a couple of salads and sandwiches in spite of there being only a tiny handful of patrons). This doesnt seem to be the norm so Im rounding up to 4 stars.

Really great atmosphere. Several rooms available. Staff is very personable and pleasant. Food is very great. Kids love going there. plenty of parking. Listen for the train to go by just across the street for a true moment from the past while you eat. SECRET: Behind the building we often see remote control car races. This makes a fun ending to a comfort food meal.

Had a scum bag punk kid waiter who obviously was too interested in hitting on a girl who was OBVIOUSLY underage to ever even come take my order. Place was pretty well empty, yet in the waiters eyes, the jail bait girl was the only person worth acknowledging. Never even got to order a drink. I got fed up and walked out. Pervert alert!

Place is hit and miss with service, depends what time you go. Breakfast is great, food good, service is good what you might expected to be when busy. Service is terrible for dinner time. Last time waited 15 minutes and staff never took our order, our party walked out and left, there was no more than five table occupied.

FRISCO and btw if u think this is a "hole in the wall" spot then u proly aint rlly from the city; the decor and setup was spacious and nice!

By far the best place to recover from the night before! Teresa the bartender Sat. nights and sun. morning makes thee best spicey bloody marysanything alcohol related in town and is great company! We are regulars for that reason! Greasy food +stiff drinks and easy convo = No more hangover! (;

Service gets 5 stars but lately this location seems to always be out of something customers are not able to order specific things on the menu every week for the last several weeks that Ive gone in come on management you need to wake up and stock your shelves properly

Okay food...nice atmosphere. Was not impressed with the burger. Very pre-made flavor and a high price for that. I know others who swear by the place. Im just not a big fan but I will eat there when I am racing at the track behind them and Siam Rice is closed.

Had an hour and a half between games and stopped in for a quick bite. 20 minute wait, no problem. One hour later, our food is nowhere being ready and we had to leave. Kids played on an empty stomach. Lost a family of customers for life.

I havent been there since I was a teen in the 80s... food was surprisingly good... onion ring were fresh and crunchy... burger was huge and filling overall experience I wont wait 20+ to come back... nice staff also..

I go here all the time! Staff is always polite, smiling and attentive. A good in and out place! Big portions and nice antique atmosphere! If you want a meal that is under $30 for 2, come here! Great food!!
