I wish I could give them negative reviews. The worst service experience ever in US. I reached with my family there at 8:40 PM for good dinner, given the restaurant closes at 9:30. After sitting for half and hour the owner/manager comes and takes the half order and disappears. On his return after 15 minutes when I asked if he can take the other order he replies "There is a big group sitting its over $300 of order, I can not afford to serve you better. It will take time for order etc." I found it very strange and disrespectful, but patiently waited for the food. The food arrives in very random order. Main course for one person (who is waiting for the soup) comes first. Then appetizers, and after 5 minutes he gives chutneys. Still waiting for 3 more main course. After another 10 minutes of wait he brings desserts (what the hell!). I couldnt resist more to keep clam. I told the manager that food should be in order, first soup-appetizer then main course and then desserts. What should I do with the dessert and where is my soup? Instead of accepting the mistakes he kept going on that "okay what you want me to do, I can not do anything" and then he says that "they ran out of one of our main course and can not make it" (what! after an hour of sitting he says they ran out? ). It was unacceptable for me, I said no I dont want to eat anything now you can charge me whatever we have eaten. He replies with "if you dont lower your voice (which I had not even raised), then I will call the COPS and have you all Arrested!!" Of course he was trying to hide his arrogance and mistakes in front of the big group (More money) he was serving happily. The worst restaurant experience. Of course the dosa was not crispy, Onion bajji was way too oily. They have lost me and my family as a customer.

Ive been to this restaurant quite a number of times, I can confidently say that the food is mediocre compared to the other North and South Indian restaurants that I tend to visit regularly. Every single time Ive been to this restaurant not all items that are listed on the menu have been available to be ordered. This weekend I ordered channa batura, Ive had the same dish here before and I liked it the last time I had it...but this time, the dish wasnt cooked at all. So, I called the manager and told him that the dish wasnt cooked properly. Instead of doing something about it, he told me that "We dont specialize in north indian cuisine and weve been making the channa batura for 25 years..blah blah"..I was quite appalled by how he just didnt want to acknowledge that the dish wasnt properly cooked. Anybody that just looked at the dish could clearly say that the poori wasnt deep fried enough and it kept smelling like raw flour. Well, my gripe is that if you dont specialize in north indian cuisine why do you even have it on the menu?? second of all no north indian restaurant serves channa batura...its a south indian cuisine. Whatever it might be...Im never going back here again

I thought the food was pretty amazing. Its not amazing in the classic no-duh this is good food. This isnt a no-brainer American franchise restaurant. This is a fine ethnic experience. If youre looking to be delighted by new and interesting flavors, you like different spices, and you dont mind learning to eat slightly different food, check this place out. I forget which menu item it is, but there is this one with various different types of ... i guess theyre dips, and you pour them, or spoon them onto this flat bread... each dip has a really unique and even striking taste. I remember finding a particular mixture of these dips that had me stunned, just from the sensory experience of the different tastes mixing together. Its not for every day, but its well worth the experience if youre looking for an exotic adventure for your taste-buds.

Ive been to this place quite a few times, almost always there is something on the menu that we want that they wont have, to make things worse, theres always a dish or two thats either gone bad or not done well, but till last week it was never the main course. This time, as luck would have it, our main course wasnt even cooked completely, and it didnt look like it was even made out of the correct ingredients. The manager (who I am guessing owns the place as well) couldnt care less. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"??? Am I a moron to call him and tell him that the food isnt even edible? Instead he gives a smirk and says, this is how we make it and walks away! I had half a mind to throw the damn thing at his face. Not recommended at all, unless u are the retarded managers relative or something!

Feel free to check out the place if you are angry with your stomach and want to teach it a lesson, off course in a nice surroundings. The owner seems to have heard too many complaints so he seems to have deeply developed immunity to it. I will propose to start with Kanjeevaram Idly just so that you can have a mouthful of rubber tasting yuk in your mouth before trying moving on to the next delicacy. They say the oily food is quite tasty, but not here. Seems like chefs kid is a heart surgeon and he/she wants only to clog customers arteries at the same time not giving them any satisfaction of a good taste. Feel free to ignore this review oh brave one, I wish you nothing but the best as my stomach can empathize with yours by the end of this adventure.

WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER!!! There was a big group sitting in the restaurant and the only two waiters available where busy serving them and neglecting us. Finally food arrived more than an hour after we ordered. There was no chutney served with dosa and idli and when we asked about it, the waiter said that we need to "request" for it??? Restaurant was dirty as a slum. Idli was unbaked and hard as a rock. Vada was sour and dripping oil. Chapati needed to be cut with scissors. When we complained about the quality of food and not maintaining the order in service, the restaurant owner asked us to lower the voice, which we hadnt even raised and threatened to call the cops

Very average service and food. Recently went out with family and ordered some bisi bela bath. The manager or whoever the front desk staff doubling up as waiter was, he was very dour. Got exactly one appalam (wafers) with the dish. And when i was done with my dish, rather than check if we wanted anything more he actually asked if i was done so he can brijg my check. No signs of hospitality. This place is consistently empty with one or 2 patrons during lunch or dinner time. Their sambhar for the idli also is too thick lacking spice. Overall the quality of this place has declined. The good part is that it is somewhat clean, quiet, private & usually has good ethnic music.

I am a big fan of meat, normally, but I tried this place when dining with a Vegan friend. There are many vegan options (though there is butter in the crepes and some yogurt based sauces). When we asked they were very helpful about identifying proper dishes. There were lots of small, sharable dishes so we ordered 6 things for 3 people and shared it around family style. Everything was amazing! I especially liked the spicy potato and onion crepe, and the rice dishes we got were also very good. Really, everything we tried was excellent. They kept the water full, and the prices were reasonable (I didnt pay, but I think it ended up around 12$ a person).
