Mayuris food has been consistently very very good. During the buffet lunch on one Friday, Sam, the owner, was serving piping-hot special jalapeno Naans to all the customers. He wanted people to try something different, and explore the various kinds of food they can make for you. My favorite is the eggplant dish called Baingan Bartha. Wednesday nights they have a special dinner buffet where they serve Indian-Chinese dishes as well as various Indian items. I always find something new and different on these Wednesday night buffets. There were couple of times the items we ordered at dinner had been a bit spicy. So, if you are not into eating really spicy food, make sure to let them know ahead of time.

Mayuri is very a good, classy, and quality Indian food restaurant. Their idli was PERFECT and they jad a very tasty stuffed eggplant dish. Mayuri is not a pure veggie dig, but they had a huge amount of vegan and vegetarian options, which is what I look for. The inside is pretty, light, and peaceful, and the staff are nice. The night I went, they played Nora Jones. I went back a different time on their Thursday buffet night and it was one of the better Indian food buffets Ive had. They are also open late, which is how I discovered them because all the nearby places were closed. Totally recommend.

We had a party with 14 people for my wifes birthday. Sam and his staff put together a package of plentiful and delicious food that drew raves from everyone present, including some fine cooks and connoisseurs of Indian cuisine. Despite being a busy Friday night, the service was superb, personable but unobtrusive. This is the 4th time my wife and I have been to Mayuri and each time have left feeling satisfied, fulfilled, and that we received excellent value for the rather moderate price.

Nice location, normal food and not too crowded. You gotta be lucky to have such a huge space! This restaurant looses 2 stars because of consistency and overall seating service. I typically order same dish here, but many times it is way different than other times. And seating service - we get serviced to seat, however many times table would not have per head item! Like silverware, dish, napkins, water glass or something. Something would be short... It is consistent

Went there yesterday with my family. Ordered a soup. two appetizers and 3 punjabi curries alacarte. Only thing good we all found was 1 apitizer of onion pakoda. Service was ok but food was terribly bad. Tomato soup was yellow in color and looked tasted like sambar. Daal and punjabi curries were bad too. Wont visit it again until any of my friends give me goods review that they have improved.

I was here in Santa Clara for two weeks, and visited this place already twice now. Yesterday came and had a garlic chicken and a Heineken beer. Today I had the buffet spread, along with one newly met elderly friend. Both me and him liked this place and the food very much. So, if you have got bored off with the american food, your taste buds will surely get some relief, back.

It was the single most worst place I ate in so far in Santa Clara. I ordered chicken dry fry and it came as curry and they looked very surprised about it. They charged me much for nothing. I ended up puking cos my stomach kept churning after it. The waitress though amiable was very dirty with smears of curry on her clothes. Bad bad bad food. DO NOT GO.

Best Indian lunch buffet Ive had, with a wide array of recipes changing daily so one never gets tired of the choices. Owner almost always present to assure high quality of food and to greet guests. Outstanding goat or lamb curries nearly every day, very tender and richly flavored. Great vegetarian dishes too. Best value is lunch Monday-Thursday.

This is my favorite restaurant on the planet. Period. Started coming here 11 years ago when I was working in the bay area. At that time I would never miss the Wednesday night buffet. Now, if Im in town Im definitely hitting Mayuri, on Wednesday night if possible. Have the Chicken 65 Appetizer, and you will agree that Mayuri is the best!

When I went it was admittedly late but we were not the only ones in the restaurant. The staff was pressuring us to order and move us along and could not be bothered by us getting annoyed. They also wouldnt allow us to split the check. While the food may have been fine, I wont be going here again because the staff was too rude.

Went here on a whim after checking the reviews. Reports were spot on. Excellent and authentic. Lots of choice. Wed night is Chefs Choice buffet. mushroom masala was to die for. Fresh and delicious. Good and spicy- but flavorful without being overdone. Environment was casual and comfortable. For $11 you cant go wrong.

The Wednesday night buffet has been a staple for us since discovering it a couple years ago. If youre looking for a trendy Indian joint with hyper-attentive servers you will be disappointed here. If youre looking for a delicious mix of North and South Indian dishes, youll be in heaven.

Wednesday evening Mayuri has an amazing spread for their buffet and so affordable! One of the highlights for the guests that visit from the East coast, I always try and bring them here <3 They are eager to return (just for the food) Uncle Sam will make you feel like family!

Gulab jamun was good, but everything else either standard or substandard. They must have cleaned the place when I went because the smell of chemicals even overpowered the scent of the curries! Idli felt old and not too great. Better options elsewhere for better price point.

Went here for a business function and had the buffet. The food was dry and all tasted the same. The staff werent particularly helpful when asked about the different types of food offered and the service was non-existent. Wont go back on my own. Not worth it.

Stale food if you are walking in for a dinner. They have an adjoining party hall. And you get served stale food as a regular diner, while piping hot dishes are being ferried into the party hall. I had lunch delivered from this place and has mostly been good.

Super Essen mit günstigen Preisen. Mein Tipp: Unbedingt das "Chicken 65“ probieren. Aber Achtung : Sehr Scharf!

I wish Google had ZERO STARS, hence this one star.. White rice with chili powder is sold as biryanis with no raita or gravy... Idlis bought here can be used for playing American baseball.. So u decide if you want to waste your money here

Food is incredibly rich and super high quality most of the time. Goat curry is bomb, Tandoori dishes are absolutely incredible. Service can be weird. Take out is good, but theyll give you a million styrofoam cups.

Company buys us dinner when working late. Mayuri was one choice tonight. Nice and spicy - Im used to most food being made bland and oily for the American market. Had some lamb vindaloo, rasam and papdum. Happy!

Their lamb biryani had low grade rice and low grade meat cooked so dry that it almost broke my teeth. Worst indian food I ever had. I think the good reviews are by the owners, their staff and their f&f..

I tried this place twice and never liked it. The pakoras were cold and food does taste as good as other indian restaurants. Back then i used to bike everywhere so this was my last choice to have dinner.
