Good fast South Indian food perfect for a quick lunch break. I had lunch here for the first time today with a friend/colleague. Entering the restaurant at noon we were the only people around (which seemed odd; and only 3 others came during the entire hour). The menu was simple but with good variety. I was going to get biryani but saw them placing rice on a cooking sheet on the floor in the kitchen so I decided to get the Goat Curry with Dosa which was a hearty thick and spicy serving. I did grab a Mango Lasse mid-meal as was more spicy then I considered (no problem there). The service was so so; nobody around when we first entered and waited a few minutes, while polite the server couldnt answer basic questions on some of the menu items (I think there was some language barrier), and then they tried to urge us to pay cash vs credit. I understand when business are no credit cards but this seemed like how dare us want to us a card to pay. Service during the meal with water refills, checking in on how we liked the food was great; I appreciated that. So will I come back... maybe if someone wants that cuisine but Id rather go to a place where there is more of a crowd/lively and service more on point.

I dont remember the name of this dish but its my first time trying an indian dish with colorful rice. I love how savory and fragrant it is! But im confused with the large bits of spices in there. Idk if im meant to eat it. Im also confused what the sauces are for since they didnt really give me naan to go with it. Perhaps i should have tried this place out when i had someone who knows how to eat this. Regardless, the dish was okay. The chicken was a little dry and lacked flavor for me. I did not like the thick raw onion rings. i think they are a great complement but i would rather have them chopped in bite size pieces. I chose to take it to go since the dine in area of the place had a strong food smell.

I have been a frequent traveller to the Bay area, n must have had food at all the Indian restaurants here, I must say, this place tops the list, Great services ... there are these two kids they greet you with a pleasant smile n are always on the toes to help. Great quality ....excellent Taste ( all the chutneys u get here ...the podi the sambar..etc will make u feel ur eating bk home) Yeah agree ...thts a small one ...but .. a great joint for a wide range of yummy snack. They give u abt 13 variety of Dosas ... with unlimited repeats of any variety ... I can blindly say ... u wont be disappointed.

I wet there with my colleague on a Friday for lunch. We walked about 20 minutes from downtown and we ordered biryani because we heard one good review about them. Considered that no other Indian biryani can beat Malabar biryani from Kerala, the taste was okay. But thats not the thing. The food was cold. Looks like they didnt even bother to heat it up enough. Maybe that proves why all other seats were empty.

The food is good, but the staff is extremely impolite... we came in at 10 (30) mins before there closing but they messed up with our order didnt inform us that they r out of half of the stuff, we were served order wrongly along with paste alike sambhar and only one orange chutney... it was pathetic ! They need to work on their customer service ethics...

I liked the dosas over here with three to four kind of chutneys . The Dosas are crispy and have an authentic South Indian taste .I really recommend if you intend to grab dosas and tiffin . Recently , unlimited dosas offered grabbed everyones attention . One should definitely go for that .

I have been a loyal customer since last one year but only thing consistent is the deteriorating customer service and food quality. The flavor of biryani has changed significantly and the customer experience has gone lot bad since I found the place. Maybe I wont be going there ever again.

Decent south indian food for reasonable rates in downtown, San Jose. Improved quality of food to a great extent from the past 3,4 months. Masala tea, Egg pottu parata deserve a spl mention. Quick go to place if you are craving for south indian food.

A small place with good food. Spicy-ness can be customized. Veg Biryani(for vegetarians) was nice & tasty. Was served some gravy & raitha with it. Friends enjoyed the (spicy) chicken biryani. Must-go for Indian & especially South-Indian food.

Love the food! Greatly portioned plated that dont make you hate yourself after finishing, but still not bad value. The second time I went the service was much faster than the first. Love how close it is to SJSU.

Decent food for a good price. Definitely like their biryaani and parotta. My two favorite things on their menu. Place is more like a hole in the wall however, makes up for it with great tasting food!

Its a small restaurant with limited menu items. The good quality is good, no complains regarding the service. Me and my wife both liked the items we ordered.

For one or two times this place is good. But after a while there is nothing special about this place. And they stopped the unlimited Dosa thing ... Sad :(

Delicious Chicken Biryani. Long waiting time. Better stick with the popular things, dont go experimenting with new dishes here, you will be disappointed.
