There is one tall waiter wearing glasses that has no etiquette in food service at all. He is rude, arrogant, would answer back rudely, and very bad service, he even would slam food on the table as he is delivering, had to ask 5 times for ice water. This did not happen once but 3 times, finally I spoke to the owner of the place and mentioned things he had done, she spoke to him while we were there and did not try to serve us that day anymore. We came back 2 nights later and he was there and another waiter served us he was ok but this guy (with the glasses) gave us our bill and it didnt feel right when he brought it over so I gave a $5.00 tip just to see what he would do. As we were walking out the door he confronts me asking why am I not giving 10% tip or more for their services was there something wrong with the service? The nerve of this guy! It really irritated me having this guy trying to dictate what I think is fair for their service! I answered back saying maybe if you change your attitude or you just quit completely I may have given more than 10%. Anyways food is good we would swing by by the window to see if he was there or not and he is not we would come in and eat otherwise we leave. This guy really grossed me out. He should not be in that nice restaurant at all! Sorry bit its the truth. I will get his name and post it here and even get a picture just for you to know who not to deal with in this restaurant. Thanks for reading.

Came here for dinner, and I got the Wonton Noodle Soup and Champagne Milk Tea. I see a lot of complaints about the service here, but we got our food promptly. There werent that many people so they didnt have issues accommodating everyone at that time. I guess I got lucky. The Wonton Noodle Soup wasnt anything special. The broth had flavor, but its not what I was expecting. There was some sort of seafood flavor in it, but it wasnt the right kind. It tasted kinda like bonito flakes, which I thought was weird. At least it had flavor I guess. The noodles were firm but didnt have that springy elasticity. It was almost like they were brittle instant egg noodles or something. The best part were the wontons. Although I prefer all shrimp wontons, these had a good balance of smooth pork and firm shrimp. They were well seasoned with the correct spices that gave them a warm flavor. The cool bowls with handles on the side were also a plus. The milk tea was pretty decent. It was rich and smooth with a noticeable black tea flavor. They used a bit too much condensed milk which made it a little too heavy, but it was still above average for milk tea in the States. I prefer the traditional way of just using evaporated milk and sugar, but I could come back here for a quick fix.

A restaurant that serves smaller Asian eats and desserts that are pretty satisfying despite the poor service. Ive had the beef plate, hot pot, and champagne milk tea and all were decent. The beef plate serves thin slices of raw beef with a cooking plate and rice and corn. Its slightly less quality than Pepper Lunch. The hot pot was a little small but had enough meat and veggies to be a satisfying set. The milk tea just came in a fancy bottle, nothing else special. Id come back if I want a small entree or dessert!

Used to come here a lot but its gone downhill quickly. Tl;Dr: they tried to hustle 30% tip, we dont go there anymore. They started charging for sauce, service has gotten so bad that its pretty much just DIY right now. On top of that they started sneaking in 15% service charge on the bill. And they suggested us to tip even more on top of it. This is for a party of three. Needless to say we will not go to this place anymore.

the worst restaurant experience I have had in 2016! We had dinner on Christmas eve there but the service totally ruined our holiday. We didnt know the restaurant only accepted cash until the bill was received. It took us 40 min to wait for the dessert and another 30 min to finally check out. The worst was that they added service fee/tips to the bill because we used venmo to check out.

This place is fantastic. The menu goes on for days, and even has a cute little Kawaii inspired dessert menu. I had the Tan Pan sliced beef with rice, which is brought out on a hot dish that cooks the beef as you watch. The rice in the middle is sauced on the inside, and the heat spreads the flavor throughout the rice. Great place, hope I get to visit again before I leave SF!

I figure out this place recently. It is near my home and I just loved. The menu has many options. The food is good, I will go back many times to try all the plates. The place don`t accept card, so make sure to take money. I recomend the desert Oreo Parfait

It youre looking for a casual diner that serves wide selection of Hong Kong western style food, looks no further! My favorite is beef brisket and tendon soup noodle - Best in town! However dont expect high quality of customer service.

Food is overpriced, but its understandable in San Francisco. Menu has very new and interesting food options that you dont see everywhere. odern interior design. Very crowded, need to wait.

Food is amazing. They have very creative food selections of Hong Kong and Taiwanese-influenced cuisine. Dessert is excellent. However, the restaurant could get very warm in summer time.

Smile House Cafe wins in their selection of desserts and snacks. But the service was slow and their version of chocolate suffle (aka Romantic Dessert Combo) was underwhelming.

The food is alright and overpriced. I got a baked seafood plate and there was way too much rice and too little seafood. Also, the menus are the ugliest Ive seen in a while.

I love to come to this place again and again. Service can be on the rough side, but their food and desserts are always excellent and nothing to complain about.

Breath of culinary fresh air in the otherwise humdrum avenue of little ethnic eateries. I will be sampling another delightfully delectable dish soon.

Typical Hong Kong cafe style restaurant. Serving those traditional Chinese dishes. Wait staff sometime a little rude but not too bad.
