Bayside is a great family owned and operated cafe that delivers quality food for a great price. Its an old-style restaurant with an extensive menu featuring all the possible breakfast and lunch options you could think of. Elise treats everyone like family and will make you feel at home, being more than happy to cater to your individual substitution requests. And they all remember what you asked for the last time you were in! It is great for kids with primarily cafe-style booth seating, a great bar where you can get an egg breakfast in less than 5 minutes if youre on the run, a hidden back room with about 6 tables and fountain that looks out out on the shoreline and houseboats behind, and generally a place you can go and relax, sometimes watch the game on the corner tv, meet friends, or just read the paper over a cup of coffee. In addition, they have fantastic home-made muffins, make fresh fruit and vegie juice drinks, have ice cream and probably more delights I have not stumbled upon. I highly recommend this no stress eatery and the family that runs it.

When out for a visit to Muir Woods, we decided to grab a quick lunch in Sausalito. Located just off 101 at the Sausalito/Marin City exit, we just happened to find the Bayside Cafe. And, what a nice find it was. Our server was as friendly as can be, and the food was very good. My wife likes salads, and she was happy with their Sassy Spinach Salad. My son got the Meat Loaf Sandwich - which he enjoyed. I enjoyed a nice hamburger, shake, and, the best Onion Rings Ive ever had. Coincidentally, we stopped by about two weeks later en-route to Tiburon. We stopped by the Bayside Cafe again because we enjoyed it so much the first time around. As we were being seated, the initial pleasantries included us mentioning in passing that we were on our way to Angle Island to celebrate an anniversary. At the end of our meal, they did something special (and very much appreciated) for our anniversary. The staff makes the Bayside Cafe so welcoming. The server even remembered that my growing son likes to get a PB&J Sandwich after he finishes his Meatloaf Sandwich.

Tourist Trap diner Overpriced for the typical breakfast items. One server who was clearly overworked, as we heard her say she had worked two weeks in a row. Corned beef hash was clearly out of a can despite the fact the server said it was made in house. Omelet was more of an over stuffed egg taco with all the add ins falling out. No table tap until we were mostly done with our food. Didnt give me small change to make sure we left a bigger tip. The food was tasty, neither bland or over spiced. They modified my plate as requested. The inside was clean and kitschy like they do in seaside towns. If I wasnt in the industry, it would be a nice place. Dont expect much for breakfast.

Excellent value, especially for Sausalito and excellent service. We got a table for 6 with no wait at 1:15pm on a Saturday. However, Id order carefully. The french toast was bad (soggy). My over easy eggs were runny. And my toast was a little burnt. But my friends had excelllent omlettes, and the burger and the ruben sandwich were very good. My food was very disappointing, but I think overall food is OK diner fare at a very reasonable price.

Cozy little breakfast spot by the water, excellent fast service, with lots of options. I really enjoyed my gluten free pancakes and eggs, the bacon and hash browns were ok. The fresh juice smoothie (the Green Giant) was delicious and refreshing. The waffle my hubby has was good but there is a tiny element missing to make them amazing. Overall good breakfast place to try.

The ambiance and decor offer very little to entice your palette, but they have some of the best breakfast food around. We usually get the Huevos Rancheros and the Fruity-Tooty pancakes...you cant go wrong with these!

Feels like a nice neighborhood diner, sitting next to the marina. People are friendly, food is fresh. Not much to ask for. Got an omelette and a poached egg on english muffin with mushroom, avocado, and tomatoes.

Big portions, diverse menu and really good service! I noticed other then us every person there seemed to be local and on first name basses with the employees (owners family?) and that says a lot about a place!

Stopped through on our way out of San Francisco, I couldnt have asked for a better cafe/diner pit stop. The food was delicious and I couldnt believe how fast our meals were served. Would definitely come back!

A wonderful local diner — good food, reasonable prices, pleasant service and a daily special worth checking the blackboard as you come in. The back room has good views of one of the houseboat docks.

If youve ever wanted to taste a raw pancake, eat here. Its like a Denys or ihop. It seemed like I inconvenienced the staff by eating here. I apologize for spending my money @ this establishment.

Relaxed atmosphere and great food, exactly what youd expect from a solid diner. Unlike the tourist traps further downtown, you wont wait in line for an hour to have your wallet gouged.

Food is okay, took a bit to get my burger. Lady at the desert counter couldnt tell me what flavor the scones were and didnt look to find out either. Waiters were very nice.

Great view and delicious food. Fast service. Although the outdoor chairs are rather uncomfortable if you choose to sit outside.

Good service and pleasant environment. I would agree with a previous reviewer that the pancakes arm just like IHOP or Dennys.
