This is the type of coffee shop you think you can find in every neighborhood, but realize they are exceedingly rare these days. A casual place for people to work, sit on tables or couches, has Wifi, has the dimmest corners lit by table lamps, has an outdoor patio, and offers some delicious Starbucks alternatives like Vietnamese coffee and a pleasantly spicy Mexican mocha. The food is quite good for this small coffee shop, with the entire prep area housed behind the payment counter. Ive wanted to try their housemade soups, but they are never available when I go ("we didnt make it, but we again soon"). They have this insanely good cookie fashioned out of sliced almonds and dipped in chocolate on one side. My gripes are that it is borderline uncomfortably dirty. Sometimes I just dont want to put my bag on the ground. I also find the bathroom pretty nasty most of the time despite the fact that it is large and lit by a window. Otherwise, this is a good place to park up and get some work done. I like the baristas music taste, which ranges widely.

As you walk in, you must be hungry because your stomach busts open and loops around the kitchen. thats what happen to mine. The name of the coffee shop is around you. they grow their own mints, fruits, etc. They use organic spices, foods, mixtures together. The workers who are also the best provide you with the refreshness of the coffee that they serve. Couches, tables, stools, garden seats, and desk/computer desks hide in and out of sight throught the front and back of the cafe. When i walk and when you will, you will discover each and every time that there is an organic smell that rushes down your bodys pipes into your stomach. Also, artwork is posted all over the walls and bathroom for entertainment, wonder, and a chance to buy it yourself. They just remodled the inside a bit today as i went.

I went back to Greenhouse. This was my mistake. I ordered a vegan hummus wrap. That was also my mistake. After two bites, a long black hair protruded from the center of my wrap. I do not have black hair. I brought the wrap to the counter, and they apologized. The black-haired woman behind the counter specifically apologized, saying that she had rushed and had forgotten to put her hair up and that she would make another if I wanted her to. No, thats OK. I didnt want to make another mistake. Its not too much to ask for there to be a competent non-Starbucks/Peets coffeehouse in West Portal. But Greenhouse, as a cafe, has been utterly incompetent since its opening. Recommended? = No. No way.

This quiet little coffee shop seems very unassumung from the outside. Inside it is clean and inviting with a wonderful covered patio in the back. I purchased their iced coffee. It was smooth and full of flavor. Darker than most iced coffees Ive had in the city, which was a nice change. There was plenry of seating and outlets for those bringing laptops to work while they enjoyed their coffee, smoothie or sandwich. A great place to escape to when you can work out of the office or need a place to relax and read.

This is my go to coffee shop in the area. I love their Apple and Brie wrap. Their juicer is out of commission and hopefully the fresh juice will be back, but they still make smoothies. Coffee of course. Lots of seating, indoor and out, and free wi fi. Ive always had good customer service. The music playing is always contempt and chill.

2nd time I couldnt eat before work because that forgot about my order. Then my order was missing ingredients. The employee seemed annoyed about her own mistakes. Another time they didnt call out my order, so it was cold by the time I got it. They advertise as a quiet place to work or study, but the employees are often talking loudly.

The service was under staffed for the 8 customers that were in for lunch including myself. I ordered one sandwich and was given some other completely different sandwich after waiting 20+ minutes. Its dingy and awfully ran.

I love this place! It is seriously the best. They make the best French Press coffee; super strong--just the way it should be. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a chill atmosphere with good service.

Cozy neighborhood coffee shop with a good selection of items and friendly staff. Garden seating in the back. Not many breakfast options outside of pastries and an egg sandwich (which is made fresh).
