Goat Hill Pizza is the best incarnation of this space since I used to eat clown cones at the Baskin Robbins here 20 years ago. This pizza has excellent sourdough crust that is hefty and will not get soggy by the time you ferry your pizza home. It also does mean slices to order, and I like their pizzas of the day where they throw a combo together so you dont have to think. Solid pizza at an average San Francisco price. This isnt anything fancy like D.O.C. Neapolitan but it will make you happy if you are craving flavorful, crunchy dough, melted cheese and some vegetables or meat. Their soup or salad lunch is a decent deal. I think its $6 or $7 for a two-topping slice and your choice of soup or salad. The minestrone was just OK and the salad was your standard iceberg, olive, cucumber, tomato, pepperoncini affair, but it kind of made me feel healthy. Still, it remains one of the best quick lunch options on West Portal for a hot meal. Seating is limited and slightly awkward. Remember this was a Baskin Robbins back in the day.

Did someone say sourdough crust pizza?!? YES THEY DID!!! I really like this pizza. The toppings are fresh and they have a really good variety. My personal favorite is a pizza with artichoke hearts, black olives, roasted garlic and fresh mushrooms. Seriously amaze-balls! So why only 4 stars? The space they have as the actual restaurant is small and not very inviting. I typically order my pizza to go because Im not a fan of the location, but the food here is still really good!

I came here with a group around 9pm on a Friday night. Im just going to assume that we were being a bit loud and chatty but no one seemed to give us any death glares, whew. I had the best garlic bread with cheese Ive ever tasted right in this little restaurant. Ah-mazing. I originally said "oh Ill just have half of a piece". Nope, I ended up eating pretty much half of the whole plate.

I place an order to be delivered two hours in the future and it still hasnt arrived over an hour after it was supposed to be here. Why should I ever use this "service" again? It has one purpose and it simply does not work. Providing a false impression of doing what you say you are going to do is a worse evil than simply being a failure. What a truly horrendous experience.

We are so glad that Goat Hill came to West Portal. They are our go-to pizza delivery place. Why? Their crust is yummy and the toppings are delicious. They also offer a really good gluten-free crust which is a must have for me. They always deliver the pizzas quickly, so we dont wait long and the food is hot and fresh. Long live The Goat!

When we were there recently, they told a group of four people that they couldnt all have slices of the same kind of pizza, (which were available), but that they would have to order a whole pizza.. "Its our policy." The pizza quality is just fair, and since theyre no longer particularly customer-centric, Id recommend skipping it.

This place is overpriced and nothing special, not to say that it is -bad-, simply far below expectation and their own shallow touting that is plastered all over the restaurant. You can get a comparable pizza at papa johns.

Oh, theres a Goat Hill Pizza here now? OK. Went in, ate two special slices and they were good. Kickapoo Joy Juice was also OK. Nothing was exemplary, everything was fine, the people were nice. Recommended? = Sure.

Great small pizza place with a fun staff that makes a darned good pizza. Try the extra thin gluten free crust. This place is usually quiet and full of West Portal locals.
