Piccola saletta con luci basse , in sottofondo musica prettamente classica (Pavarotti è al Top) ma decisamente adatta anche se non preferita che insieme al bisbigliio proveniente dai tavoli vicini crea unatmosfera unica . La cucina non è affatto male , se riuscite a prender posto nei tavolini vicino alle finestre potrete osservare la Hyde st. con poca gente che va su e giù, e contemporaneamente specchiarvi seduti al tavolo con la vostra bottiglia di vino , magari anche in bella compagnia e una piccola candelina a tener accesa questa serata magica !!! ......Consiglio personale , il piccolo ristorantino si trova proprio sotto il Nob Hill Hotel , non è il massimo , stile Retrò un pò barocco, ma dopo una bottiglia di vino e qualche dolcino accompagnato da liquore vi eviterà di fare della strada ........ e che strade a San Francisco !!!! Nothing bad to say about the food. Everything was great. The reason why me and my mother hated it its because the i guess owner of the place probably prefers NON ITALIAN guests. We are italian and we have never been so disrispected like in this place. This old guy was very annoyed by our presence in the restaurant, he didnt say hello when we entered the place, when i ordered the espresso coffee his face was clearly annoyed and bothered. When we moved to the counter to pay he gave us the receipt without saying anything, and when we gave him the money he didnt say even thank you. We left saying goodbay but he still said nothing. WORST PLACE EVER.

Its a small place. the chicken piccatta was interesting. fewer but bigger capers than at Luisas (italian) or Curbside (french) and a lot more mushrooms. very tasty. shrimp was ok, but thats more the wifes taste. Desserts were very good. Service was gruff but efficient. At 6pm on a Monday, we were the only ones there.

Colombini Bistro is a pleasant, well-decorated, small restaurant with a well-executed selection of Italian dishes and friendly service. Youll be able to carry on a conversation over dinner. The prices are quite reasonable compared to, well, hotels more to the East on Nob Hill and quite a deal if you use one of the frequently available coupons.

Very good experience. Had dinner on Christmas Eve. Virtually no one there at 6:00p. Service was great if course. But the food was so well prepared and served. I recommend this restaurant, but not sure what would happen on a busy night. Very small with only eight tables. We will go back next time on Knob Holl.

Small but nice and confortable place. The food is also very good. I ordered calzone and squid ink seafood spaghetti (special menu) and it was awesome!! Our three month old baby was crying hard so felt sorry we left early... You wont regret if you eat here.

The food here was excellent. The service was also very good, and had a nice, relaxing atmosphere. We had the ravioli as well as the rigatoni dishes, both of which were extremely flavorful and well-prepared.
