This is one of those "we give you the ingredients, you pick your burger" places, like The Corner in Santa Monica. But The Corner is better. At The Corner, you are your own worst enemy - theyll give you odd an interesting items and you can make great food or ok food. At Barneys, nothing is interesting. The best your mind can conjure is a decent burger with additions that will leave you crawling to your Lipitor. Id rather they lead me to the 3 good burgers and stop there. At Barneys, freedom just looks like too many choices, as the old saying goes. Oh, and the decor, service, at atmosphere sucked when we went there. Probably a lot better on a good summer day when you can sit outside.

Ive been to this place twice now. The first time I was there the customer service was terrible. The waitress never came to ask us out order (even though the restaurant was not busy at all) so after 15 minutes I finally had to flag down another waitress. She came to check on us once the whole time we were eating and every time I tried to get her attention she ignored me. I wanted to give it another chance because the food is really delicious! Unfortunately, yet again, the customer service was disappointing... No one paid any attention to us and it took 10 minutes for the waiter to come to the table and ask us our drink order!! So frustrating and quite a bummer. Not sure Ill be back...

I went last night for dinner, maybe my 6th visit since moving into the neighborhood a year ago. I enjoyed a the blackened chicken salad and some sweet potato fries. Its a nice place for finding comfort food with a twist. The wait staff was polite but a bit scarce, as Ive come to expect. The wait time for being served was unusually long though, seemingly because a table of 10 or so sat down shortly before me. Alas, that may have caused some chaos in the kitchen; early this morning, I said goodbye to the meal via bucket... classic case of food poisoning itd seem. While it was probably an aberration, I doubt Ill chance it again. So much for comfort food.

I go here to get the best char broiled burger in town. This nicely appointed burger focused restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, an attentive staff and some of the best burger food around. The fried veggies are always a hit with everyone I bring here. Burgers come in every possible option (turkey, veggie, salmon, etc.) with every topping variant one could think for always fresh and seasoned well. Be careful of the very delicious Turkish coffee milkshake as it contains REAL coffee grounds (read = you will be WIRED). Salads and other things like falafel and hot dogs are options, but the star here is the BURGER!

Dont let the name fool you - while you DO get gourmet hamburgers, you arent getting them in a gourmet restaurant. This is a seat yourself style restaurant that has a greasy spoon feel to it (not literally, its a clean establishment). Very casual with AMAZING burgers. They have a lot of specialty burgers to choose from but even a plain hamburger there is juicy and delicious. Their onion rings are large and delicious, they have a great drink menu, too (they have root beer floats! And black cherry soda!). The staff was friendly and helpful. If Im ever in the area again, Ill definitely make a point to grab another meal here!

A wonderful place for burgers. There is a great selection of milkshakes, from chocolate to chocolate blackberry. The burgers are all very good. My personal fav. is the bacon cheese(who doesnt love bacon). My father loves their fried veggies and their french fries are delicious as well. Althogh one thing that could change is the volume, screaming kids everywhere!!!!!!! I dont mind personally, but my father makes a big deal out of it. To sumarize this place in one word: Pie. To sumarize this place in general: great food, drinks amazing, selection is heavenly, brats everywhere!!!

While I cant speak to the deliciousness of their food fresh and piping hot from the kitchen, I can honestly say that the 20 minute or so bike ride back from this restaurant did not appear to do much damage to the aforementioned deliciousness of the food. That having been said, I got the ole standard (a cheeseburger), which was both tasty and exactly what I wanted. No gimmicks. No rare Belgian peppers gently sous vide in truffle essence. Burger. Fixings. Bun. Solid. They also have curly fries, which pretty much makes them a winner in my book.

We ordered for 5 adults tonight and have ate at your 24th street location for years…but I have to say we were disappointed. The meals arrived in a timely manner and the burgers and hot dog was great. The main disappointment was the soggy and cold fries and onion rings. There must be a better way to have them delivered so they are hot or even warm…maybe the technology isnt there yet to deliver crispy fried food. Anyway will continue to patronize Barneys but in store only. Thanks!

Plenty of waiters(three, maybe four. A lot of people coming and going into the kitchen..), but only a few occupied tables. There was tables that had been left before our arrival that had not been cleaned when we left after 45min. A customer had to ask them to clean a table on the patio before it could be used. We had to go up to the counter and ask(!) for knives and forks.. dry burger, industry-baked and tasteless bread. There are plenty of other nice places in Noe, go there instead

I tried this spot out on a sunny Sunday for lunch, and was not disappointed! Our group ordered the skinny and curly fry baskets (size large, which was indeed very large), and I got the bacon cheeseburger. SO much bacon, it was amazing! Combined with the fries, we had plenty of leftovers, and the burger was still good reheated for dinner. Definitely a family-friendly place, and they had outdoor seating (although we sat inside). Good service, and great food!

The outdoor patio is great for warm evenings. And to go with a warm evening, nothing beats their tall mug of ice-cold draft IPA. Im not sure the food is quite as good as the Berkeley Barneys but its definitely right up there with the better burger places. I usually go for cow alternatives for my burgers so I ordered the ground turkey. I wish they would add ground buffalo to the menu--it blows away turkey, but the turkey burger was pretty good.

I have been going to Barneys since I was a child, and it has never once upset. From the service, to the mouth-watering food, to the quintessentially bay ambiance, this place is the real deal! Consistent winner of the "Best in the Bay" for its burgers, a coveted title awarded by Diablo Magazine, Barneys food quality speaks for itself. The real treasure at Barneys, however, is their curly fries with buttermilk ranch. You absolutely must try!

Au top du top. Le voodoo burger ainsi que leurs autres burgers sont succulents et volumineux. Le serveur et la serveuse sont au top! Toute la famille y était, aucun déçu. Un must GO!

This place is pretty good, but not the best burger Ive had. Its pretty pricey, and they have a lot of choices, but Id probably go elsewhere if it werent for its convenience after a long day of work. It also has a communal indoor feel with a large tv, and outdoor seating for the sumemr days. Yet, if you were looking for bang for the buck in Noe, Id recommend Little Chihuahuas across the st.
