NEVER AGAIN!!! Insanely Expensive, Nasty Service, & 2 out of 3 diners had stomach aches after! The sad thing is that I’d eaten here before and had a pretty decent experience. So tonight, when we were in a hurry and hadnt yet had dinner, everyone said YES to burgers and I called ahead to place our order for pickup. I used the menu attached to this site to make the selections. I ordered three burgers, each priced at $9.50, no drinks, no sides. As I was completing the order, the guy asked me for my name several times (how hard is it to get "Jeff" right?), so I assumed he was having difficulty hearing me. As we were finishing, he said "That will be $?1.88". Since we had only ordered three burgers for less than $10 each, I assumed that the first word was "thirty". Even though the connection was fuzzy, it didnt occur to me that it could have been "forty". We pulled up outside the place and my wife hopped out with two $20s to pay for the food. She came back a minute later saying she needed another two bucks. As I handed her two bucks I asked her how that could be given that the online menu said it was $9.50 each for three burgers. When she told this to the guy at the counter, he scoffed dismissively, saying "Thats always been wrong", to which my wife answered, "Dont you think you ought to fix it?" His answer: "I told him how much it was." My wife: "Well, apparently he didn’t hear you clearly, and your published menu advertises a different price. Can I speak to the Manager?" Him: "Shes not here, but shes not going to do anything about it anyway." My wife: "I think shed want to be aware that the place shes managing is committing false advertising... Id like to leave a message for her, anyway." Him: "Ill tell her when I see her." My wife: "How do I know that youll tell her?" Him: "Dont worry about it. Ill remember." According to my wife, all of this was conveyed with a "F... You" attitude. Granted, I was waiting outside in the car and not present myself, but my wife is very level-headed and she came back to the car STEAMING, saying "We are never coming back to this (expletive deleted) place again!" If I were the manager of Burger Urge and I witnessed this, Id fire the SOB who was on duty tonight, then Id get online immediately and make sure all the menus that are out there are current. If I were the owner of the place, at very least Id rip the manager a new one for allowing this sloppiness and for commanding so little respect from her employees.

Best chili cheese fries at an affordable price in SF. Burger menu is way overpriced, there are five better burgers at any price within five blocks. Friendly fast helpful staff, theyre always good. Music has been consistently good every time and yet almost all new to me. Thats a rare combination. The space is nice enough though it could be made a little more homey, cozy. The extremely bright kitchen is being allowed to overwhelm the otherwise decent warm medium-level ambient light. The tables are kept wiped clean, but they have a bad varnish or poly coat that makes them feel permanently gross/sticky even when clean. Which probably has a lot to do with most table tops having either uneven surfaces or rough wood. All tables really should be sanded smooth or given glass toppers.

First off, the environs of this place are great. It feels part old school and part new school in this joint. Lots of places to sit as well, even when theres a lot of people being serviced. Seats are comfortable as well, with bench-esque seats if thats what youre into. The staff here? Very friendly, patient, and timely. My order was taken quickly and without any issues. Food came out super fast as well. And that food? Great. My burger came out just the way I ordered it. It was juicy and flavorful through and through. This bad boy was huge as well! I ordered it with the garlic butter fries as well. Them junks was om nomin on the real son! I was definitely filled and satisfied after that meal.

All of our food was bland, barely any flavor. They charge a 12% "service charge" -just forcing you to pay a tip in my eyes- and the cashier was upset when I didnt give an additional tip, this is not a waiter/waitress type resturaunt. My veggie burger cost 17.60 with fries, one of my friends 1/2lb burger cost 16.50 (listed on the menu at 10.95) with a drink, my other friends meal cost 12.30$(Listed on the menu at 8$) with a drink. Again, all the food was bland, if it had been good I would be alright with the price, but it barely had more flavor than a McDonalds burger. Dont waste your money.

I found this establishment to have rude employees. I asked if my daughter could use the restroom and I was told that I had to purchase something and needed to wait in line and purchase something first. A line of at least 8 people. Looking at the menu that seemed to be over priced I can see how they would need to force people to spend money. We walked just down the block to Big Slice Pizza The food was GREAT and the prices were fair. The people in Big Slice were very friendly. A must stop if youre visiting the city.

Overpriced mediocre food. Ordered a pepperoni pizza for my kids aprox. $15 this pizza was worse than the pizza I get at school cafeteria for $3.99. Ordered SF style burger for myself aprox $13, it was a sandwich with a patty and some grilled mushrooms, not sure why it cost so much. The reason we stopped there is because place was empty, and it looks like there is a reason for that. Left this place with the feeling that I was cheated, will not come back. Giving 2 stars ⭐⭐ as customer service was good.

Funky and casual burger joint in the Haight neighborhood. Prices are somewhat reasonable for an independent hipster type of hamburger and sandwich shop. Food was average, service was somewhat moody but efficient. Beggars, thugs and loud shady people arguing and loitering outside and everywhere on Haight Street kept us inside longer than we would have liked. It was a useful hideout for that reason, but nothing memorable about it really besides that.

I found these burgers to pretty tasty. A variety of vegetarian and non-vegeterian items on the menu plays towards many different people. I cannot eat grains so I got mine wrapped in lettuce no problem. It was really juicy and seasoned well. Fries dont come with the burgers which I think is weird. We had an enjoyable experience here and I would definitely go back. It was clean and the staff seemed helpful.

This place is great. They definitely dont skimp on quality. For all those that left 1 star reviews due to price...their prices are listed right on their gigantic, overhead, menu boards. If you didnt like the prices...you could have gotten food elsewhere. Their restrooms are clean and food came out in under 8 minutes for 6 orders. The yucca fries are awesome!

The burgers here barely classify as mediocre, but thats not even whats bad about this place - its the price. Im not talking like a dollars or two overpriced, like you might as well just hand them your whole wallet overpriced. Do not trust the prices on the menu, Ive never heard of burgers having hidden fees, but somehow Burger Urge managed to invent that.
