LIFE. CHANGING. BURGERS! Seriously... Have you ever had a burger before...? The answer is "NO," No you havent because you havent had a Roam Burger yet!!! I dare thee to challenge their flavor combinations between two toasted buns. If I might make a suggestion too. If it is your first time there then get the Tejano. Youre welcome in advance. Even if you dont like some of the ingredients on the burger, its still going to change your life. You palate is going to be changed forever. Oh, get a house sauce and pickles on the side. Youre welcome again. My dads quote (who is old I might add) "probably the best burger Ive ever had". My best friends quote (separate occasion) "probably the best burger Ive ever had... I cant think of a better one, but Im leaving the probably in there just in case" My friend Jessica (a true foodie indeed), the second she took a bite she goes "OMG... OMG. This is soo good". They all had the Tejano. Ive taken more than 50 people here (I live and go to school close ok...), and not one of them was not thoroughly impressed by their burger (not always the Tejano). They have many burgs, Ive tried them all, and in different combos. The heritage is a good standard burger if youre afraid to let your taste buds run completely wild. The sunny side is pretty amazeee. Ummmm, Im too tired to keep typing and youre probably done reading this anyway. But if you are still reading then you get an extra-special second life-altering gem from this location. THEIR SHAKES ARE THE BOOOMMMBBB!!! Specifically anyone that they make there... but more specifically get the Hazelnut Chocolate Shake. It is the best shake you will ever have. Close your eyes, enjoy. Its basically nutella, but again... life-changing. Happy Roamin PS: The animals are all fed grass before you eat them so that makes them more delicious... not sure why. :)

When I first walked in I was overwhelmed with the noise level and amount of people crammed into the restaurant. I also had trouble reading the menu. Its on the right of the line to order so you cant really look at it while waiting in line. Horrible set up and caused some line-order confusion. Anyway, I ordered the BBQ burger and the fry-fecta. The burger was super good!! My only complaint about if was that I wasnt asked how I wanted my burger done and when I received, it was nearly rare. If youre not going to cook your burgers thoroughly, at least ASK your customer if thats ok. The fry-fecta was REALLLLY good!! The standard fries were great. The little fried zucchini string things were good too but kind of hard to pick up and eat... I typically dont like sweet potato fries at all but Roams sweet potato fries were ok. I would have been really happy with a big bowl of the standard fries. Overall this place is cool and has good food but its very loud inside and very cramped (dont bother eating here if you like your elbow room).

This is now my favorite burger joint in SF! So much better than those sad soggy tiny little bitsy Umami burgers that so so disappointed me after hearing rave reviews. I ordered the French and Fry Burger (Truffle Parmesan Fries, Gruyere, Avocado, Caramelized Onions, Watercress, Dijon Mustard) here with an egg and some herb butter. Yes, it’s as ridiculously decadent and delicious as it sounds! I also tried their seasonal veggies. It was some type of butternut squash with kale and pesto mixture that I wasnt a big fan of. Their zucchini onion haystack was interesting though - an onion and zucchini ran through the grater and deep fried - the result was some light fluffy stuff that was savory and sweet, but so light it almost tasted like flavored air. I still havent made up my mind if I liked it or not. I usually don’t actively seek out burger joints (I’m more of an Asian comfort food type of person), but I would definitely come back!!!

The vibes are great and the menu is amazing, but the food is average in my book. I love the clean modern look and the fact that you can order Elk and Bison. (for a hefty extra charge) but the burger and fries are just alright. I am not the biggest fan of truffle oil, but it seems to be one of the most popular styles (everyone here seems to order the truffle fries and burger). Furthermore, the burger is done right messy! I have yet to have a burger that stayed together. Also, do not wait to eat the burger at all! It will become moist within 20 minutes and fall apart that much easier. Furthermore, when I ordered a shake (to-go) I received this mini 12oz cup. I was expecting a large 20oz shake and was extremely disappointed because the shakes are AMAZING. Overall Roam is still a good burger, I just would prefer Umami Burger

The lady on the phone was very nice but she asked someone in the background the same question I asked her and she was very very rude the lady in the background that is. I asked when my order was going to be ready because I work for a delivery service and thought our dispatch system messed up and the lady in the background said I honestly dont know and dont care tell them they need to learn how to do their job. When I left though I felt better shes just mad at the world because she was very ugly. I could tell by her tone and by what she was saying that she was the ugly one with big square bifocals. Hope life gets better for her. She was ugly inside and out. Thank you to the polite one you tried to be helpful but she made it difficult.

Years ago, my friend introduced me to Roam Burger and Ive been hooked on it ever since. I love love Roam Burger. One of my top 5 burger places to go to. I think Im addicted to the chipotle habanero sauce. Its my kryptonite. With that sauce on any of the burger I get, Im in heaven. All the burgers Ive ordered here has been cooked to perfection. More on the medium rare. Never had any problem with that. Usually, Im happy and content with a burger. My two favorite burgers are the sunny side elk burger and the pacific blue burger. The downside of Roam Burger to me is finding seating. It is super hard during around lunch hours/dinner hours during the weekdays and brunch/lunch hours during the weekend.

This is by far my favorite burger place. I love how customizable their burgers are - you can choose from a variety of breads or a lettuce wrap, any combination of ingredients and toppings and best of all - your patty. Often they have some exotic options like elk our bison. There is also a veggie option. Of course you can choose from a number of fixed burgers as well. For the sides, they have salads, veggies, sweet potato fries, etc. All of them are delicious. This is a perfect place for this who like burgers but want to keep their meals healthy. I also like the atmosphere - casual wooden theme. Also even if the place is busy I was able to find a spot, no wait.

High hopes. Kitchen was on point. Customer service was a mixed bag, ranging from oblivious to sweet and helpful to plain neurotic. House red wine "Barbera" was surprisingly good for $7. It was 45 minutes from closing when I came in, so maybe theyd had a hard day and just wanted to go home. Luckily, the kitchen was still trying. The Sunny Side, which they prepared medium-rare at my request, was delicious. I added a little salt. Front of the house should catch up with the creative menu and hard-working kitchen. It was my first time, mind you, so maybe I did not know what I was doing. Nevertheless, Im not planning a return visit just yet.
