Jan. 3ed 2015 I went to the IHOP on 3335 Midway Dr. San Diego. I arrived there just a little past 09:00 and I was put in a small booth. The elderly white waitress took order quickly. (I wished I would have gotten her name).after she took my order another lady took the booth in front of me and she ordered from another waiter. After a few minutes the lady in front of me received her order. She finished eating and she asked for her bill and I still havent received my order. THEN a man and his two kids sat down across from me and they ordered. I was about ready to get up and leave and then she brought me some ketchup and said my meal is coming. the man and his two kids sitting across from me got there meal at the same time I received mine. Not only was my order late; but it was also the wrong order and the eggs were over cooked, it took her a while after giving me my order; for her to give me my pancakes. By that time I was so mad, I couldnt eat the rest of my eggs and I got up and left. I feel bad that I didnt confront her or the manager. I wish I would have gotten the waitresss name also. That experience ruined my whole morning. I will never eat at another IHOP again. I am in the Navy and I will tell everyone in my command not to eat there.

Just went to IHOP yesterday morning for breakfast. It was me, my husband, and my son. We ordered each a plate while my son got the rooty jr. selection with the french toast. We also ordered 1 waffle on the side. Waffle was okay, nothing too amazing. French toast was bland. And my husbands pancakes were okay. Nothing too great. The bacon and sausages were cooked well. Coffee was not the best. We ate our breakfast and was handed the check. We didnt bother to take a look at it and paid it. The cashier rung it up to $44 for us 3. We were shocked, but paid for it anyways since its IHOP. Then we checked the receipt afterward. Turns out, that one waffle with no toppings or anything cost us $9. JUST FOR ONE WAFFLE. Isnt a plate of waffle with eggs and bacon $10??? We were baffled and totally disappointed. We were RIPPED OFF. Please go to another IHOP or check your receipt before you pay. Better yet, make sure you ask the waiter how much everything is going to cost you before you make the final order. We still love IHOP, just not this location.

My husband (who is a San Diego native) are here visiting, from Seoul, South Korea. We are use to a certain standard of customer service living overseas & sometimes have to expect a lower our expectations when we are in the states. Today we tried the iHop restaurant @ 3335 Midway Dr. San Diego and we had a great experience! Our waitress Carmen was amazing and even accommodate my special hot water and milk request for my Koran Coffee. There was only 1 mishap with our bill but the awesome wait staff including the manager, sprung to action to remedy the situation! We are boarding our 1st of many flights back to Korea with satisfied pallets and full bellies. All in all we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be visiting again, if ever in the area!!

The service is really slow. Some of the employees and managers always look angry, especially the older manager Lady Ive seen working the front counter. The food was bad; the potatoes had a weird fishy taste, the eggs werent cooked correctly and they didnt even make the waffles correctly. The dishes look like theyre thrown together like the cooks couldnt care less. I live in the neighborhood and gave this place a few tries, Id rather drive all the way to the location next to qualcomm stadium off of friars road. As a matter a fact I did just that for a to go order two weeks ago. That place is 5 stars for sure.

Restauraunt was very quiet and slow, put us in a dirty booth. My mom an I ordered iced coffee and pancakes and sampler, the eggs were undercooked pancake a were soggy, sausge was under cooked. And after we ate, about 20 minutes later we both had to rush to the bathroom with our stomachs in pain. Staff was sitting by front desk complaining how they were alone and goofing off. Never going here again.

Most IHOPs are pretty standard but I mainly come here for the service. Every time Ive come, the waiter and waitresses have been really friendly and accommodating. Last time we went, our server was Daniel and he was awesome! The prices are usually a little up there for standard breakfast food but all IHOPs tend to be priced the same. I recommend getting Crepes of some sort with Hollandaise sauce :)

Nice place. Came in for breakfast while working around the area. Staff is really nice the server was very friendly and attentive overall everything was great. Except for some reason reception was bad as I sat alone I couldnt browse the web or watch any videos. I guess is good if you have company that way your not buried your head down looking at your cellphone.

I walked in to the mens room and was blasted with stink from sewage smell. When brought to the managers attention he did nothing to even investigate it, so already knew about the problem and did nothing. A simple call to a plumber should fix this, but they care so little about this big an issue, imagine what other issues arent being dealt with.

We stayed at the Bay Inn right next door and visited this IHop nearly every morning for breakfast. We got to know the wait staff very well and they accomodated our special needs daughter with several off menu items at no charge. The pancakes here are every bit as good as I remember them from my youth back east and the coffee flowed freely too!

The food was ok. Mine was cold. Apparently they cooked the easiest dish first and the longest one last. Very disappointed... Our waitress was sweet And attentive which was nice. However the restaurant smelled like urine in the windowed section. If I wasnt so tired from driving 7hrs to get to San Diego I would have just left...

Pleasant experience early in the morning. Clean space, nice servers, fast service, and my egg was cooked over hard as requested. Tried that ”Pumpkin Spice” pancake and it was pretty good! Not too pumpkiny, not too sweet, but just right. It seems to be surprisingly expensive though.

I want to take the time to say how impressed I was with the service, food and cleanliness at this ihop. I was surprised to be greater by the manager Vanessa. Overall the experience was great and I will be sure to visit again even though I live in Alpine :) thank you ihop Midway!!!

Slow service, fries were stale, creamer had curdled, restrooms were short of toilet paper, eggs arrived cooked instead of scrambled, fried were not seasoned at all. Overall, 2 stars only because the place was clean, we got received and seated promptly.

Its an IHOP. You know what youre getting into. But when the little ones insist on pancakes at 3pm on a Tuesday, you know IHOP will have them. This one is in the sketchy area of Midway. Nice view of the strip club across the street.
