We went here based on a recommendation from a nearby hotel. The decor is pretty rustic and old-fashioned looking, which is fine, pretty cozy. Theres a decent patio which is great on a nice day. Reading the menu had me excited to try the food. I ordered Bangers and Mash. It was kind of a chore to get through the meal, to be honest. The food was bland and kind of wore on me closer to the end. It was a decent meal for a lazy day lunch but I wouldnt recommend this dish. Im not from SD so I wanted to try some local beer. This was the best part of my visit to Dan Diegos. I tried a couple excellent local beers and was satisfied with the selection. Perhaps the hotel made the recommendation because there isnt a lot of other places nearby. In that case, if Im back in that same area and dont want to travel too far for some food, or if Im just looking for a few drinks, Ill probably go back.

Went there for dinner because my girlfriend had been there prior for a function and had some amazing burger sliders. I got the bangers and mash and she got a burger. 1st one came out really rare. She never sends food back but did this time. They were kind enough to bring her another burger and she asked for this one to be well done to make sure cooked fully thru. The 2nd burger came out the same way as the 1st. Older lady was concerned but argued that it was cooked thru.... Wish I could attach a photo. Best part of all they said they took it off the bill and when bill came they charged us for 1/2 order of fries. Sad waist of money...

We stumbled across this place yesterday as we were wandering around the Mission Bay area. When we walkied in the server told us we could sit anywhere we wanted and he would follow. We chose to eat outside and it was perfect weather! When it was time to order, I got the Cold Smoked Salmon and let me tell you, that was the best tasting Salmon Ive ever had (and Ive had A LOT of Salmon in my lifetime). Incredibly reasonably priced, great atmosphere, and insanely delicious, you can bet well be back very VERY soon! :)

This will be the shortest post ever for me. If you can afford the tickets then log on and get them. Hands down, bar none an amazing experience that should not be missed. No point in describing the food because it changes monthly. Just go. Period. No questions. Seriously. Stop reading it and go. Oh oh oh, look up Curtis Stone. He is the chef, you will know him. wait, one more thing: when you get your tickets for the bar. You get to be in the kitchen, basically.

Dan Diegos is a great place to have delicious home made style food with your family or friends. The atmosphere is family oriented, friendly and warm. The owners take great pride in the restaurant and in there customers. The beer selection is great as they have revolving taps along with some staples and bottled beer from around the world. Sometimes we go just for desert. If you havent been you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Ive never been disappointed when I come to Dan Diegos. First time here I had the (wait for it) liverwurst. Now wait a minute. Its pâté with some character, and they make it here so its wonderful. Please dont take it from the menu. Hell, offer it as a chacuterrie with Irish cheddar and a couple of other cheeses with grapes and pears. Oh, and the beer selection is also excellent.

Portions arent huge (which for me is a good thing) and most entrees (good selection) are around $10. Excellent selection of beers. I had the fish and chips, overall very good, fries a little over seasoned but not bad. Outside on the deck is definitely nicer than inside, the inside is a little funky, kinda looks like a room in a house. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Absolutely great food at very fair prices. Came during a vacation to San Diego as our hotel recommended this particular pub. On a super busy night when every other restaurant had hour long waits, Dan Diego had no wait and a wide selection of great food without breaking anyones bank. Our entire family will be sure to remember Dan Diego every time we are in San Diego.

Always feel like home here, and their food is VERY good. Coming from RI/NY area, I have been exposed to great cuisine. Prices are reasonable, friendly staff, always left feeling very satisfied. Fried chicken and waffles, Happy and even the beef stew($3) is delicious and hearty. I highly recommend, they serve only beer and wine, FYI.

Excellent Food. Incredible Beer Selection. Larry is a great host. Now for those Surf Band recommendations: BEST: Bambi Molesters, Langhorns, Blue Stingrays, ... GOOD: Atomic Mosquitos, Barbwires, El Ray, Fathoms, Pollo Del Mar. … INCONSISTENT, but worth tossing into the mix: Laika & the Cosmonauts, Space Cossacks :)

OMG this place makes the f@#king best steak I have EVER had in my life. Good beer. Great people. And just a few blocks from where I live. You dont understand. Im BEYOND!!! super picky when it comes to my steak. P.S. I had my steak medium rare. Must try this place.

Amazing food!! Great choice of beer selection!! Not just ipa, but Belgians aa well. all good isbhomemade. MONDAY STEAK DINNER 16 DOLLARS. 14 OZ RIB EYE WITH FRIES AND VEGGIES!! BEST DEAL IN TOWN!! IF U WANT AN IRISH EXPERIENCE THIS IS THE SPOT!!!!

Had dinner here on Saint Patricks Day! It was very crowded and busy, as expected, but what really stood out was the friendliness of the staff. The owner took the time to come over and check on us to make sure we were happy! Great experience!

Great little Irish pub thats adept at the gamut of euro cuisine. All meats are ground in house all breads and sausages are made scratch in house. The Bread pudding is excellent!
