They profess to cook all burgers medium rare unless otherwise requested. I ordered mine medium and received well done. I guess medium rare is medium for them. After sending the burger back, I was told that the order would be corrected in a few minutes. Fast forward to the end of the meal with my friends and my burger had not showed up. After letting them know that I could not wait any longer, I got the biggest attitude and snark remarks from the wait staff; supper rude to make those comments to a retired Chef! The habanero wins were good but they look like they came off a quail rather than a chicken. Do not order the BBQ ones unless you want sweet wings!

I went with my wife. We were hungry so we ordered an appetiser of fries. they tasted as they had sat under a lamp for 2 hours. we told the bartender and he took our fries and brought us back what we expected to be fresh fries. they were the same fries but thrown back into the fryer. so they were hot and stale, not edible even with lots of ketchup. wife ordered french onion soup that was so salty neither of us could eat it and my burger had a stale bun. Im not sure why I always see people on the patio but maybe its just the only pub style ourdoor eating in redwood city...

Many, many visits here for both lunch and dinner. Great, ever-changing selections of beers on tap along with almost a dozen wines on tap (yes, on tap... meaning never skunked). The pub salad with skirt steak and the pub burger are my go-to selections; but the tortellini is a sleeper (insider tip, ask for it with the Bolognese instead of Alfredo). The staff is always having fun at work, which tends to make your visit feel better. They also know their beers, so dont be afraid to ask questions about their offerings.

Customer service was ok. We were not greeted, once seated it took about 5 mins to have someone come to our table. When we got our order they brought everyones order but they had the kids order wrong. The waiter came back and asked unsure if he took the order wrong or if thr kitchen messed up. Our kids order came when everyone had finished eating. Food was ok, nothing exceptional.

They have a great selection of beers. We all ordered American Kobe burger and its actually pretty good. They fried the cheese so it wont melt in the burger. People are friendly but they forgot to put mushrooms in my friends burger as he asked. There are a few TVs around the bar however there is a weird smell inside the place. There are plenty of seats outdoor on the sidewalk.

Pros: Excellent, reasonably priced, constantly changing craft beer selection. Great pub grub. Attractive, attentive, knowledgable & smart-assed staff. Impeccable management. Cons: They no longer pour my favorite red ale. Ok, so I was the only one drinking it, but still... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Come the revolution our Robot Overlords will give us each a personal tap. Trust me.

City Pub is one of the best neighborhood bars I have ever been too. We had the privilege of living down the street for several years, and is was one of our favorite places to be. Everyone comes to hang out: 20-somethings, families, dogs, everyone. On the sidewalk in summer, or by the fire in winter. Great selection of beer. Good tasty burgers. We love it.

Excellent food for a pub! Love their Baja chicken dish, Caribbean chicken salad, and pub burger with bacon and cheese. Their fries are good. House salad dressing is tasty. No gluten free beer (sad for me), but they have blackthorn cider, which I like. Great place to hang out with a group. Open later than most places to eat good food in Redwood City.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant. I had my dog with me so we dined on the patio where he was welcome. It was very busy and bustling the night we were there, but the service was decent and the food was good. I didnt think it was anything to write home about, but it was good food and a very fun atmosphere in a great location.

This is the most dependable craft beer pub with good food in the mid-Peninsula. Menu is a little limited but all good, especially the salads, burgers, and appetizers. 24 taps, mostly Norcal and mostly independent breweries, several rotating every day. Wine and cider too, no liquor. Kids welcome and sidewalk dining too. Worthwhile.

Service sucks if youre not white. Stood forever as the waitress / host b*tch snubbed us. Finally asked if we could grab a table outside, she said ok. Sat for 15 minutes and then watched as another couple came in and she literally ran to wipe off their table and take their order. We left. Dont waste your time.

This is our go-to place for a week night with friends. The kobe burger is meaty and juicy; I often get that. The zucchini stick appetizer is a nice idea, but the pieces are so huge that they can be uncomfortable to eat; Id like them smaller. City Pub offers an excellent choice of beer on tap.

I had a salmon burger with salad. Juicy patty, fresh ingredients. They have a nice warm fireplace inside, and beautiful outdoor seating. Went with a group of about 10, and they got our orders to us pretty quickly. Ample parking in the lot around the block and sometimes out front.

Good price, good tasting food, good offering of beers. Had a really good cappuccino here. 4 stars because there was a baby crying. Im not saying you have to ask the baby to leave, but it was like... 9pm? Get that baby outta here. Parking in front and by the train station.

Outrageoys prices for food that is pretentious and poorly presented. Serving sizes were rediculously small and beer selection miniscule. This is a restuarant pretending to be upscale when its only upscale feature is the price.

Good food, friendly staff, and good beer selection make city pub a great lunch spot in downtown redwood city. If you like ipas they will have something you would enjoy. If you want not ipas, the selection is a bit more sparse.

Wings and pub fries are tasty with extra ranch for the fries. Wings seem smaller portion than years past but price is still good, maybe thats how they keep prices down. They really went all on the Halloween decorating!

Great pub with good food and beers to match. Servers are fun and attentive. Outside seating is nice. Inside gets a little loud but a great place to hang out or watch a game. Pub burger is amazing! Better than most.

This is a great hang out spot after work. You can grab some pub food and some drinks with friends. The prices are reasonable and the food is decent. The best part is the atmosphere.
