I was told previously not to visit this restaurant because its very white and hipster. However, its literally next door to my work (OConnell High School), which is super convenient for lunch. I was not greeted by any of the employees when I walked into the establishment. They just kind of looked at me. One of the servers stared me down to the ground immediately when I walked in and throughout my stay there. I felt as if I was not welcomed there. I assume its due to who I am (Early 20s, Black woman). I ordered food to go. I was near the entrance and he was way across the restaurant. He snapped his fingers to motion me that my food was ready and placed it on the nearest table to him and walked away, as if I had a disease and he didnt want me anywhere near. I have never not had my food handed to me directly. Nor was there any "Thank you, come again" Or "Did you need anything else?". I felt very disrespected. I walked up with hurt feelings. I then decided that I should say something because its not okay for them to treat anyone like that, especially a paying customer. So, I turned around and came back to talk to them. I shared what happened and what I felt. The other employees listened and said they would talk to him, but thats not enough. I really felt like that did not take what happened too seriously. Or maybe they do not understand the micro-aggressions and disrespect that Black people face. Not to mention, the food was NOT tasty. I actually couldnt even finish it. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially if you are Black (sad to say).

Hidden in an industrial spot between Mission and Potrero is vast warehouse that has been converted into a giant pub. The place is super spacious but still manages to get packed! The beer is good, I mean you really cant complain when you are getting pitchers of all sorts of stuff. They also serve cocktails and they have a food menu, but for the most part, people come here to share pitchers and chat it up...which leads to my first con. The place is extremely loud. The loft style in the open warehouse has zero to minimal sound absorption. When you first walk in, its deafening, but you get used to it as the drinks flow and your voice level goes to match the surrounding noise level. Oh, and it can be cold, down right chilly, so layer up or get more liquid courage! It is a good place to come hang out in a large group, but probably not for a smaller party where conversation becomes more important.

Meh, Me and my girlfriend were here on a Monday at 5:30. The beer was average and there was only 5 in-house selections. The brussel sprouts appetizer was good and the fish and chips were, again, average. The reason for the two stars was the service. I didnt see one of the 7 staff members smile and the waitress looked at us like were nuts for asking for ketchup. The vibe was just totally crap. I wouldnt come here again unless a friend wanted to. So many better brewery restaurants in SF. Dont open a brewery restaurant unless youre passionate about beer, food and service. Update: so Ive been here twice since I wrote my reviews above. Both times have reinforced my view of this place. The staff is sooooo lame. Im at the point where I just wont come back even if friends want to come here. This place is basic as hell.

Ive had several big gatherings here and its perfect for that kind of occasion. Plusses: - A short but fun drink menu makes for easy ordering. They have some ok cocktails - nothing out of this world. I like the Tin Lizard. - Their flatbread is good, and they make other indulgent things good for group ordering - like fries or mag and cheese - and individual choices like burgers or fish and chips - They have a ton of space and a ton of big tables so its good for when you need to get a big group of people together Minuses: - Honestly, I have none. Thats why this gets 5 stars without anything really jumping off the page. The only thing I will say is its kind of in a weird, out of the way spot - not unsafe, but just a little like youre being dumped in a junkyard only to discover this random bar.

I went for lunch with my friend and our kids (both 3 years old). The staff was extremely unkind and unfriendly to us. They kept yelling us to keep our kids quiet and dont let them walk around. Actually, our kids werent noisy, just walking around a little bit in the restaurant when we ordering. So we went to the patio, where there was nobody. We thought it would be nice for the kids to walk around the patio when we are waiting for the food. While we were waiting, one of the staff members who yelled at us, came to smoke in the patio, even though smoking is not allowed. When he went back inside, he yelled at us again dont let them walk around in the patio, this is not a playground, this is restaurant! Even there was nobody in the patio. I strong recommend dont go with kids here.

Please be aware: if you want to come into this bar you must have a passport if youre not from the USA. Regardless of age, they will ID you and a driving license will not suffice. Even if you do not intend to drink you must prove youre over 21 in order to be anywhere in the brewery. That being said... Once youre in its a gorgeous, spacious bar thats good for groups as even if theyre full, you wont feel as if its overly crowded. They have a lovely patio with enough shade to be comfortable. The cocktails are strong and tasty and while the menu is quite small, the quality is there which is appreciated. I tried the fries and they were delicious. The spicy mayo that comes with it is especially good.

Unpretentious - while this is a brewery, their philosophy seems to be that if you dont like our beer, you should have the option to drink someone elses. Youll find a variety of breweries on the tap list in addition to a full bar. The airy warehouse space lends to the relaxed atmosphere and I personally love the outdoor picnic tables on sunny days. The food is all decent - I love the Banh Mi, wings, pizzas, and think the brussels sprouts with bacon, apricot, and orange are some of the best Ive ever had. Ive been coming here since their opening to celebrate, play cards with friends, or have tgif with coworkers, and its always on my list of recommended bars in the Mission.

I really loved this place for the vibe and ambience that I got from the people and surroundings. Given the fact that its in Mission District, it helps with the cool and hip branding of the old warehouse converted brewery. Food and drinks are affordable and very much value for money, considering the quality and portion of the mains and sides that they serve. Pizzas and burgers are all very tasty and serves really quick. The lady at the bar was also very helpful with her recommendations, which helped me make my decision with ease at the end of the day. All in all, a very nice place that Id check out for the first time, and come back again for many more times to come.
