To be honest I have traveled most of the country playing the game of Billiards both for fun and a profession. I have reviewed over 60 different business that avertise being eather a Pool club/hall or Billiard club/hall. I believe the number one reason a business that is in the business of this great indoor game can be successful #1 is the customer, and #2 location, #3 Owner/Manager. This past week I knew I was going to be driving through SLO County for a meeting and through out the years I have been in The Billiard business I like to search out Business whom deal with this indoor game and I enjoy walking in and playing a few games talking to the staff and just get to know the place. My goal for reviewing business is to show the people who are planning on visiting the area and to the locals who come and play and last to the ownership of this business. Unfortunately I will have to keep this short do too I have to write a few more reviews and back on the road. Here is what I have to say about the Pool Hall named Hot Shots. If I had to give a rank #I meaning the worst and #10 meaning fantastic. My ranking is all combined to one score and the score I gave to the Ownership of The Billiard Club named Hotshots was a #4. How I came to this score. #1 Staff #2 Location #3 ownership #4 Pool tables #5 overall look of the place "design" A, (Staff ) I gave a score of # 7 for the staff very nice folks as I watched them work they were never just standing around eather working on something for the Hall or helping Customers The reason I didnt give the HotShot Staff a rank of #10 was the ability to answer some basic questions of the game of pool. I fully believe if someone who works at a business should know the business so they can help the custumer with any question they have about the game. B, ( Location ) I will give the Location a #6 Great location downtown, the problem no parking and even the bigger problem not the Hotshots fault is once you find a spot if you can find a parking spot The City of Pismo make you pay for it. To me I always believe having to pay to park is not freedom. Because of the pay to park and being very hard to find a spot this is the reason I didnt give location a 10. C ( Ownership) I gave the Ownership a tank of a #3. The reason I didnt give the ownership a rank like of #10 first the tables were bad I have seen old dive bars with better tables. I believe if you are a owner of a Pool hall and you want to show respect to the people who pay a good amount to come support your business then dam well you better have nice tables with nice cloth and sticks and balls. The worst tables In Have seen in over a year. The cloth had cuts rips tap and stains years old. This is how the owner of The Hotshots Pool Hall respects you charges you good money to support him and his business and dose nothing for you. This 1985 Chucky Cheeses out of date pool hall has to be one of the most unprofessional disrespectful to the wonderful folks who come to play pool. The tables what I could remember not one was the same all different looks the cloth looked like it hasnt been redone sents the Mid 80s. The sad part is he knows he can get away with it because there is no other pool hall around. Up to right now I dont believe there is a Pool hall north of Pismo Beach all the way past Paso Robles to Salinas, and Ownership knows this and they know you will still come and pay your hard earned $$ because there is no where to go. Trust me you are better off playing pool on some country dirt road still would be better then the Hotshot tables.

Came in for a beer, worst customer service, none seem to know what they are doing. As well as looked under thee influence. Purchased a Michelada, which to them is apparently a pint of whatever beer and a shot of tomato juice with salt and pepper. If they were licensed bartenders they would know what a michelada is and not just pure pepper. Went back to just exchange the michelada the employee made for a regular pint beer, the manager and employeed both argued and tried to make me pay for a completely new beer. I proceeded to ask for the owners information to contact him/her and was given more unreasonable response. Ridiculous. Never again will I come enjoy my time here.

Adorei. Viajei de moto pela Big Sur, com um grupo de amigos, paramos na Hot Shots para uma cerveja e acabamos jogando bilhar, comendo pizza e degustando uma série de cervejas artezaneis que eles tem por lá.

I really liked this place (especially after getting treated like crap over at harrys bar). It wasnt hard getting a table. The food was awesome. Tons of different beer on tap. Good music in the juke box. Good Atmosphere. Definitely a good spot to kill time if your in Pismo. Been to Pismo Beach tons of times and never knew it was there. I will be going in there next time Im in Pismo.

The place itself is okay. Lots of pool tables and they have lots of different beers. However, being by the beach, theyre a bit more pricey. Ive never seen it completely packed inside. They serve food, which is typical fried food and burgers. Overall, its an alright place to shoot pool if youre in the area.

Good establishment. They have a ton of clothing items you can buy. Not only do they have food, but many beers on draft. If you can get a full sized table then its fun. Good for groups as they charge per hour for a table. Tuesday nights is league night, so they only have one side of the room available.

Now charges extra to use decent pool balls and when I called to complain about this practice Justin redialled me to belch and hang up.. Humorous but the worst service I have encountered. There is a difference between bad customer service and just being rude and obnoxious. This place has both.

this place is awesome! it doesnt look like much from the outside but inside you have games galore and an amazing atmosphere. the food and beer are also super divey and super awesome. loved coming here with my friends and is always an interesting mix of tourists and locals.

The "family entertainment" part is a little overstated, because the arcade games were lacking and the place doesnt boast a very family friendly vibe. But the rates were good, alcohol selection awesome, and I love the puck slide game that they got.

If I could give no stars I would. Bartender over charged for beers, and then wouldnt throw in the souvenir glass when I had already paid for it. If you can find something else to do in town, do it, because this place is a rip-off.

games, pool tables, bar, pizza, a cool place to take your kids yet have adult time in the process with a large selection of bears. Also this place is in the heart of pismo beach and within walking distance to the beach.
