Worst burgers on the ridge. Dont even bother with the medium rare or well question. The cook tonight doesnt season a patty or understand when to pull a burger for med rare. I asked for med rare, 30 minutes later my well done burger was sent back then got a burger that was only gray on one side from being set on the grill for a few seconds at most in some sort of smart alec retort. Dont be butt hurt because you cant make a med rare burger. This place is a joke, absolute worst black bear in the entire franchise and Ive been to 10+ locations. Look at all the bad reviews of undercooked food. fries are soggy and came out cold, they were terrible. When the burger got sent back it took a few minutes to come back and my same soggy fries were still there, replace the fries too not just the patty. Language barriers between customer and server doesnt help either. She kept repeating wrong items back to me and my wife. She would ask if fries were ok, I said yes, sure fries are ok, shed reply onion rings? The cooks make your food like its some sort of take what you get kind of place, definitely NOT made to order or how you would lIke it. Just garbage franchise food. Its not that hard to make someone a good burger when they are paying $13 before tax. I would highly recommend one of the other sub par local diners over this location any day. This was hands down the worst meal Ive had in Paradise in 20+ years of living here.

Love Black Bear Diners when I see one when traveling I always stop but have to say out of all Black Bear Diners the one in Paradise is the worst. Went there on a Sunday afternoon with the family was very busy but after waiting to get refills finally was able to catch our waitress and get more drinks. When our food finally showed up 40 mins later my wifes chicken fried steak was not fully cooked or her hash browns. My daughters hash browns were burnt. Will not be returning to this Black Bear diner. Will continue to go to others. The Black Bear diner in Gidley is excellent.

Black Bear Diners seem to differ somewhat by actual restaurant. This location seems to be consistently hit or miss. On last visit I ordered the one lone egg that came with the meal to be cooked over-easy instead of scrabbled as requested. Not a big deal but considering that the food also arrived noticeably later than usual youd think that they would have had enough time to get it right. I have to rate that as a miss. Quality and proportions are generally good. Theyll have to demonstrate a consistent improvement in service before I give them another star.

The dine-in experience must be good because the place is always packed. But my take-out experiences were not so good. They gave me garlic bread that was literally a piece of white sandwich bread, with garlic grease on it. And the TripTip was overly marinated/tenderized and turned to mush in my mouth. It was a very dark color with purple in the middle instead of pink - very unappetizing - most of it went in the trash. I might try the dine-in at some point and order something else, but no more take-out.

Id like to say I liked it, but I never got that far. Seated, waited 20 minutes for water and our order to be taken, then another 25 minutes for a refill of drinks and our salads to show up. Unfortunately, neither ever did. When all the servers and the manager are hovering at the pass while food is sitting, it does not install a lot of confidence in quality.

We walked into the Black Bear Diner and was immediately greeted when we first walked through the door. Both the greeter and the waitress were friendly and efficient in their positions. The food was delicious and the portions were large. My only complaint is that I ordered a B. L. A. S. T. (bacon, lettuce, avacado sandwich), but there was no avacado on it.

Dont wast your Money, to expensive and cheap food, Was so excited to see Black Bear in Paradise, the food was great when they first opened, Now the food is just average at that, there fried Chicken dinner was so small, they must be buying reject Chickens, we were hoping things had improved sence last year, but Nope, will not be returning,

If you go here for breakfast and you want yours eggs over easy than I strongly suggest ordering them over medium. The rest of the food is good and freshly made to order. The fries are not microwaved like Cozy Diner. They could trim off a bit of the fat on their NY steak. Overall service is better than other chain diners in Paradise.

This is our goto restaruant up here in Paradise. You get tons of food for you money, and most of it taste great. Sadly I only gave them a 4 star out of the 5 because they recently changed their vendor for meat. The new meat isnt as tasty and bit more fatty then the other vendor. But I still love eating there!

So so food that used to be great. Couldnt find the avocado in my omelet anywhere. Used to go there several times a week, now I dont go in at all, we were treated really rude last time we in there. Money is tight, and spending where the food is good and service is good has become pretty important.

Love the bear decore here it really makes coming here fun. I love the all day breakfast too it really makes my waking up less frustrating. I love their egg and pancake dish. The wait staff is also very accommodating and tentative, it is almost like they have ESP. Always a sure bet coming here.

Best diner in town. Best chain diner in existence. Fresh squeezed OJ and their own sausage. Even lunch and dinner items are great. Ive never been disappointed here. Staff at this location is extremely friendly and attentive. Best restaurant in Paradise.

We ordered 3 entrees for pick up. When we got home, 2 of the orders were wrong, all had bacon on the potatoes (not requested; we do not eat pork) and the carrots in the veggies were too hard to enjoy; basically raw. Disappointed, wont be back.

Great kids menu fast friendly service the steak is very thin and not that good and after messing up are very expensive order they didnt even try to make it right.. cozy dinner is way better thick tasty steak better prices

The ribs are terrific! And, their baked potatoes are out of this world! Where do they get their potatoes? Now the desert needs help. They look pretty and enticing but they are very lacking in quality and taste.

The employees are really nice. the food is good but COLD no one like cold food. Its a little to pricey for what is served. I got a blackberries pie and it wasnt as good. I wont be eating here again
