A great surprise! We were out and didnt want to cook for dinner. I looked for a nearby restaurant with good ratings. Matsuri popped up in my search. My wifes sashimi was excellent according to her, as was her Red Dragon main plate. My tempura was fantastic. We hadnt found good Japanese food anywhere in the desert since we moved here 3 years ago. This is a major find. Check out the existing food photos on Yelp. It was just a thrill to find this little restaurant in a strip mall with construction going on along both sides of this unassuming little restaurant. It really didnt look like it had a chance but dont let your eyes get in the way of your stomach. Youll miss out!!!

On a slow Tuesdsy evening, we discovered Matsuri, were happy to find brown rice, wonderful sushi and sashimi options, and noticed locals coming and going as we took our sweet time. Happy to recommend to any and all.

This place was delicious, we were just there on 8/22/2014. For some reason Google has it as closed, but it is definitely open and the owners are quite concerned that people will think they are closed.

This has turned into my favorite sushi place ever. Sushi is very fresh, service is very friendly and they try to get to know their customers. atmosphere is comforting. This place is always on my mind.

Went on a Saturday at 3 for sushi, walked in and was immediately told they were closed. The door was open WITH the open sign on it. Horrible!! I will never come here again.

i am coming from L.A, the sushi was poor and boring...the spicy tuna salad looked and test like the salad you buy in a convinience store... bottem line- not recomended
