This was the surprise of the year. From the outside Tanpopo looks liked nothing. The inside is also modest, so you wonder about the food. Do not wonder ..this is some of the best Japanese food I have ever eaten...and I am fussy. The Sushi was divine, the Tempura perfect, the salmon steak so good you could not help but eat the entire portion. This is a a must for lovers of great food, service that is not theming with tourists .

Cute, cozy sushi place. If youre looking for fancy this is not the place for you. Food was good. I got the shrimp & vegetable tempura it teriyaki beef, came with rice and miso soup so it was a lot of food for just me. My SO got California roll with baked scallops on top and a baked Philly roll. He said they were just good nothing wow about them. Garlic mussels were good.

Drove all the way here for sushi happy hour and they turned us away at the door because they said they were closed? Got there an hour and 15 minutes before they were supposed to close, and there were a bunch of people inside, so Im not sure what their deal was.
