Bottom line, dont come here for sushi when youve got Syringa in Coeur dAlene, or Ugly Fish at the very least. I came here three weeks ago, and didnt want to write a review out of frustration, however, three weeks later, the experience I had at Fuki was still very frustrating. My girlfriend and I came during a busy dinner hour, and I got the impression that they werent ready for as many customers as they were receiving. The servers looked like they were stretched pretty thin, and there was a very tense atmosphere all around. Once we finally got service (almost 20 minutes after we sat down) the server was courteous and on-point. My main problem with Fu-Ki is that their product (sushi, I HAVE NOT had the steak, so keep that in mind) simply wasnt very good. I ordered I specialty roll (cant remember which one) and a spicy scallop roll, thinking that if I didnt like the specialty roll wasnt good, at least Id have the basic scallop roll. They were both pretty disappointing. The spicy scallop roll in particular was frustrating, because it was actually just a california roll with scallops tossed over it like a garnish. When I voiced this to a woman I assume was the owner or a manager, she said I should have read the menu right. Well let me tell you lady, when you are building a menu, and the heading says "traditional rolls" most customers are gonna say "hey! I know these, spicy scallop, spicy tuna, just like everywhere else" and were not going to read the tiny size 8 red font underneath that points out theyre all california rolls. Perhaps these are all kinks for a new business, and theyll get worked out eventually. Perhaps.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! A group of four of us went last Saturday (5/27/15) at 6:00 p.m. When we arrived, they had no record of our reservations. Three of us had never been before, so we had no idea of "which side" we were supposed to sit...someone explained that 2 people had called in sick, so service would be slow...we understood that, stuff happens. We were handed menus and the one person who had been before, was confused, since the last time she was there, the menu had a couple dozen choices of sushi rolls, not this time. Again, it is a sushi restaurant on a Saturday night...the first 4 choices of sushi rolls we asked for...including basic tuna they were "out of" or "no longer available" really?! No tuna at a sushi place? We substituted our orders and eventually got fed a mediocre meal, that was not mediocre in price. With tip, spent about $225. It was now after 8:00 p.m., and the restaurant was pretty empty. Two of us went to wash our hands...when we came back we couldnt find our friends. We saw them outside, they informed us they were told "you cant sit and just talk here, you need to leave"!!!!! Really!?!?! I will find other eating establishments to spend my hard-earned money!

Yes, Im a super picky eater. No worries, their menu is online! With details as to what comes in/on what, even better PICTURES of it all. How great for someone like me! When I received my 2 rolls, neither matched the menu I just ordered from. When I spoke to the waitress, her response after checking menu and my rolls "well thats how they come". I replied "I ordered these 2 because they dont have cucumber & 1 is missing avocado", she repeats her self. I say i dont understand why make menu so detailed and not accurate. She checks with the chef "yup thats how theyre made". Long story short; nice to know that Im wrong, your menu is wrong and thats how it is. - asked for an ice water when ordering, it came well after we got our order, asked her to trash the lemon wedge -instead she starts to put it in my friends water ?really, idk how to comment on that

We We have lived in post falls for a year and a half now and multiple friends have raved about the food here. And we have eaten here 6+ times now. The food we order is simple, variations of California rolls. Honestly the food taste pretty good, but the part I cant get over is the flat out HORRIBLE customer service EVERY time we eat there or phone order to go. The hostess has been short, dry and far from welcoming or inviting. The waiter forgot waters after we had been seated when he said hed be right back with them, then see him serve drinks to another table, took a considerable amount of time and then came back to take our order and still hadnt brought them. Multiple bad services certainly over weighs the quality of food and they we never have our business again.

I went here because the reviews were so good. I was really craving a bowl of katsudon but apparently they only do sushi. I ordered the sashimi donburi and a hot tea. The tea came with the tea bag in the cup and a hot water kettle which was a first. Ive never seen a Japanese restaurant be that lazy. Then the food came. It was a bit on the fishy side and not fresh. Good sushi should melt in your mouth and have a pleasing taste. Perhaps Im overly critical since I went to Japan not long ago. But I expect that if Im to pay that much for sushi, it should be fresh. Also, a couple of people came in for their W2s while I was eating and the waitress did not know them. That is very telling when a place changes employees that quickly if you ask me.

This is a great new restaurant for the area. The wait staff are a little green still, and it sometimes takes a while to get your sushi when they are packed, but they are very helpful and will try to make your wait as pleasant as possible. The sushi bar turns out neat and tidy rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. The hibachi grill is always humming, and the chefs have a great sense of humor. I have been there several times and each time shows the same quality in food and service. the décor is tasteful, but not overdone. My only demerit is for the size of the restaurant. The place is usually packed to the rafters by 7pm each night because it is rather small, so get there early when they open for dinner.

We sat for 15 minutes without a single hello. We were at the sushi bar and 4 servers and sushi chefs looked right at us and didnt even acknowledge us. On our way out we told the hostess that we were leaving and next time they should at least offer customers water and all she says is "okay bye!" We live 5 minutes from there but would rather drive to Toro Sushi in the valley because they have way better sushi and the staff gives better service. If you do eat here, the only 2 rolls that are decent are the las vegas and the popcorn lobster. Honestly we wont be back. That was our final straw.

Teriyaki chicken at this seemingly authentic "Japanese" restaurant is a Fu-King disgrace. Over Boiled chicken breast cut into tiny cubes with some low grade teryaki sauce. Rice was jasmine, wrong part of Asia there. Sushi rolls were tasteless. Ive been to some bad Japanese restaurants before, but nothing as fake as this place. Mind boggling as to why theyre still in business.
