This is my favorite weekend brunch place in Oakland, and thats a big deal because there is a *lot* of competition! The food is delicious and the brunch buffet gives you the whole range of options from sweet to savory. This week the standout was perfectly ripe grilled pineapple with cinnamon (their fresh fruits are always good but this was something special). The space is lovely too - the outdoor covered patio is as nice on a rainy day as it is on a hot summer day. The staff is super friendly and they love kids. Or at least they love our kid. :) Being across from Fairyland makes for a whole days adventure. Love this place.

Awesome food, not pricey, Amir is a gem and the lakeside location is great (just across from the rebuilding at Fairyland. Buffet works anytime or ask for kabab sooltan or filet ($$). Lamb from Amirs brother Artas ranch. I could go on with my accolades regarding Persian food, but the layout is a joke. Supplies cant access the kitchen or storeroom without wheeling through the dining area and the attached little kiosk or coffee counter is inoperable. Cmon Amir Oakland needs you, I say. Get big screen projector and blow out some walls in the back. This place like you Amir, can rock the house.

Its absolutely perfect for what it is. Patio seating available, prompt and friendly service, and a truly flavorful eating experience. Hummus leaves a little bit to be desired for my tastes- lamb special was melting in the mouth and the flavors of herb, and tomato, topped with grilled asparagus. What they may lack in presentation is more than made up for in the flavor.

I love Bacheesos! Its a great place for a wonderful weekend brunch -- they have a delicious buffet. Ive had dinner (dine in and take out) at Bacheesos many times, and its been great every time. The staff is quite friendly and helpful, the food is always good, they give quality service with a smile, and all of my visitors have loved it as well.

Theyre super friendly, well priced, and pretty good food. They have a lunch buffet all week with a brunch buffet on the weekends. At night it turns into a normal style restaurant. They are a very good option for a range of dietary needs including vegetarian, dairy free, and gluten free. Theyre also very accommodating for large groups.

When I was working downtown Oakland long before the B shuttle were running. I often leave for lunch trying to beat the crowd doing power walking around the lake. Its a small place that seldom replenish empty trays. Best to come around 11:30am after 12:15pm its debatable.

Definitely recommend this spot! Great food, atmosphere, and drinks! We came for brunch and just kept eating and drinking. The food is awesome, the staff is incredible. If you are in the area or have to travel to get here do it, it is definitely worth the journey!

What a fun spot! The food is all homemade and the staff is super nice. I could sit outside all day and people watch on a nice afternoon in Oakland while sipping mimosas or whatever beer is on the rotation. Very relaxed atmosphere and yummy Turkish/Persian fare!

Great atmosphere, buffet serving is a nice balance of proteins and greens. Service is great and prices are reasonable. Its the spot to take a large group out to enjoy Mediterranean faire in the neighborhood- note their sirloin steak wraps are ridiculous!

Nice place for eclectic Mediterranean food served buffet style. You get free hummus with any drink from 4-8 on weekdays. The quality of the buffet is mixed; some items are great, others not so much, but the service is friendly.

All you can eat Mediterranean buffet + strong bottomless mimosas.. how could you go wrong? Dont skip on the house made hummus, its amazing Didnt try the Bloody Mary here, but the mimosas were so good it didnt matter.
