This is perfectly good but not in any way special food, for a decent price. Four of us ate well (with a bottle of makgeolli on the side) for $100 without tip. That said, Soot Bull Jeep it aint. The banchan, while plentiful, were mild and uninspiring. We had bulgogi, samgyeopsal, unseasoned ribeye, and shrimp. The beef was labelled prime, but seemed a cut below, lacking much flavor without a marinade. The marinated bulgogi was by far the best, but the whole shrimp were also pretty good. Samgyeopsal was fine, but came to the table precooked (health regs?). For preparation if ssam, they provided romaine lettuce which is impossible to wrap (had to eat it more like a cracker with toppings), and the ssamjang was bland, mostly underflavored doenjang. Finally, the rice was a bit chewy and tasted like it had been reheated from the day before. Other reviewers indicated this place uses charcoal, but really they use gas and stones, with a handful of real charcoal added for flavor. Okay, but not true old school. We didnt try any other prepared dishes, but the mul naengmyeon at our neighbors table looked good!

I really enjoy coming here because this place has changed a lot in a good way. Ive been coming here for about five six years now and it only gets better. There is a parking lot so you dont have to worry about street parking. I like how the main entrance is at the end of the parking lot and theres a nice waiting room that can be converted into a dining area so if they really needed the space people can eat there or people can wait there. The place is very organized and you have to do there all you can eat barbecue because the price is just cheaper than ordering one thing at a time. The food is very tasty and of course you cook your own food so you can have it as burnt you want

Probably the top Korean BBQ place around Oakland on my list. Numerous banchan to compliment meat dishes that come out. Lots of lettuce and rice too. The servers are fast and responsive, helping lay out the meats on the grill at the beginning and then handing you the tongs to enjoy the meal afterwards. Fairly large establishment for a KBBQ place, with plenty of seating for large groups. Expect to small like BBQd meats when you leave (when dont you smell like this leaving a Korean place?!). Parking is decent, though remember not to leave any valuables in the car, just in case!

Love Korean food. The best perk of eating at Korean restaurants is that they give you 10 different side dishes before your main entreé. We ordered our usual favorite, the Galbi, its amazingly delicious here. The interior of the restaurant isnt your normal Korean BBQ eat out. Though they have a grill and vent for each table, the place is surprisingly kept clean. Really felt like walking into a steak house. The service was awesome. The waiters are humorous and quick to serve you your food. Definitely recommend this place.

I was impressed overall. Im hard to please when it comes to KBBQ and this place is better than average. Modern decor with full bar (for those of you that want that). They have a 26.95 per person lunch special that is all you can eat. Thats flipping crazy!!! Small portions on the Banchan and I asked for extra KimChi three times and the waiter never brought it. I just gave up. However- the Galbi was very good. Loved the fact that it was Charcoal. Definitely check it out.

The food is amazing. Service is great: while it is typical for this kind of place when it is busy - there is a button on the table if you need something, it stands out because when we first came here (it was not very busy) our server brought us one of everything on the menu and showed us how to use the grill and utensils, and most importantly how not to look like a wicked forest hog while consuming the deliciousness.

We used to go to this place quite often but not any more. after the recent renovation, the ventilation got worse, i think, and the place was full of bbq smoke. service is good. they once added 18% tip on a table of 4 and when i complained, was told they add for table of 2 as well. i bet you they dont report it as their income, which they are supposed to do when its added without my input.

Very enjoyable, authentic Korean dining experience. Meal included: 1. Korean chicken wings: crunchy and sweet 2. Vegetable chop chae: a little dry for my taste, but still good 3. Spicy squid stir-fry: a little on the mild side, but not in a bad way. I am also not used to them being served in a sauce this liquid. The texture was perfect though. Overall: I am definitely coming back.

Would have rated a 2 star because of the level of service but for the quality of the food. Waiter was some punk rolling his eyes whenever we asked for something. Also, the rules of what you could order for all you can eat BBQ were not explained. The rules made sense, but again there was a sense of impatience and rudeness that we asked what we could order for a group.

The food is good because I cooked it myself, sat here fir 20 mins waiting for someone to come to my table. Ordered all you can eat and I guess they choose how much that is had 6 items and the wait staff stopped coming to the table. No water no more food no check until I went and got it. Te=ible sercice never going back a score of 2 is being nice

Some reviews said the all-you-can-eat is pricey, but seriously its about right in the bay area. You couldve easily paid a lot more elsewhere. Ventilation like any other bbq places is an issue. So dont wear your fancy clothes there and the place is quite sloppy in my opinion. The floor is slippery and with food dropped all over the place.

Probably the best Korean restaurant I have been to in a while. The complimentary pickles are better than any other restaurant. Service needs a little attention especially at 5:30pm when the restaurant was pretty much empty, it was hard to get a servers attention. But the Tofu soup was great and I will go back for more.

Horrible experience! Made a reservation for 730, wasnt seated until 745. Food was expensive, and worst of all, we were told that we couldnt order the 2-person plate without ordering extra entrées for each of our additional people. When we decided to leave, they told us to never come back! TO NEVER COME BACK! We wont.

This place is not good. I moved up from LA, and this has got to be the second worst KBBQ I have ever had. It is expensive (which is supposedly standard in the Bay Area), and the meat quality is sub-par. I will saw the service was pretty solid, but that doesnt make the food any better (sadly).

Way too smoky in here, been to other Kbbq places and it was never that bad. We came to eat before the rush, it was pretty empty, but we still managed to have meats left off our order and had to ask multiple times for it until Someone finally helped us. Made the experience irritating for me.

One of the better Korean BBQ restaurants. Sort of hard to find and parking is pretty lacking, but that is pretty much the only negative. Ohgane has the same meat you can find at any other Korean BBQ restaurant, but much higher quality all you can eat meat.
