I was apprehensive to try eating here. Ive gotten such mixed reviews from my friends about their dining experiences here. I did notice the positive ones came generally from those easily satisfied. We went on a recent Friday at 5:30 or 6. Didnt seem terribly busy, just steady enough. Several of the dishes I attempted to use, but then set aside, were legitimately unfit to eat with or off of. I can overlook water spots on silverware and such but honestly that was ridiculous. Tried to get someones attention but the only response I got was "yeah Ill find someone to look into it", with no remorse or urgency, and nothing more than that. The food Im sure originated with a great concept behind it, but I was very much surprised anyone would be proud to serve what I saw was available to me. Truly, I promise Im not a picky eater, but Id estimate 60 percent of the food was overcooked, dry, or in my opinion unfit to serve. I asked about refreshing food items here and there, and was assured it would be refreshed but didnt perceive any promptness about it, again with no outward remorse or apology offered. Im sure I seemed like "that one guy" that just wanted to complain, because thats the way I was made to feel. Not much attention was paid to me or my party during our visit. I didnt much feel like an invited guest which is supremely disappointing for the price I paid. Which also brings up that the cashier was uninterested, indifferent and to be honest, not very welcoming. I try new places here and there with an open mind and few expectations but overall I had a poor experience here. Id really rather make the trip to Bellingham or Seattle area and enjoy a consistent friendly dining experience at Old Country Buffet, consistent being the key word. I know exactly what to expect. Golden Corral might boast the "better menu", "more options" like chocolate fountain, cotton candy and such, but what is that worth after an unappetizing dinner? Im sure there are those with great dining experiences at this establishment, but I really wish I could have been one of them. Why shouldnt there be any consistency with quality and service? Why cant I expect to receive the same great meal and friendly attention someone else experiences on another day? I really will never consider eating at any of these I might encounter in the future. Its just not worth it to me

Recently my mom and I went here, its been our favorite buffet anywhere for many years. NOT THIS TIME! The food was cold, and everything tasted TERRIBLE!!! The only good thing that I had was the ice cream. We were very disappointed. I had a piece of steak, and it was cold. I told the waitress and she was very sweet, and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager, I said "Yes!". The manager came over, and was also nice, she told me she had thought it might have been a piece that she recently told the cook to throw away! (That right there was a red flag for me, because it WASNT!) How long had it been sitting there? Food poisoning going to happen here? Hmmmm, then I got worried about that, and decided we will never go back again. Thankfully my mom did not get sick, but it sure left a bad taste in our mouths! I think for the price I had to pay of $30 for both of us, the manager should have refunded at least half of my money. I left hungry and disgusted. Even the waitress told us her and her mother went in to eat, and they wont even eat there again either! What does that tell you??? I suggest a new manager, and new cooking crew. I would say all around overhaul to ever get our business back again. The waitress was very sweet, and felt bad. I felt bad for her. I left her a tip anyways....I have done that job, and its not easy, or her fault.

Only giving 1 star because I had to. Came in at 7:30 last night from south Everett with a party of 6. Was not to busy and had to wait for proper seating for our party. When we got to our table with the server it had plates and food all over it with food all over the table not prepared for our hungry family to eat. Then the food was subpar I believe that Old County Buffet is much better. Called today to complain about the service and food and was told I had to wait until the owner Mike came in 30 minutes. I called back after an hour and was directed Mike would not be in until 8-9. The manager was extremely rude and curt. When Mike called 5 minutes ago he actually asked me why I was calling when I explain our horrible experience the man who is the owner of this establishment HUNG UP ON ME. What horrible customer service and third ownership and food, and to think I wasted twice the money and 45 minute drive to be treated like crap and disrespected by this man mike. Is it because our concerns were no valid or important enough that you felt the need to hang up on me? Is your time at the golden corral so important that you cannot meet the needs of your customers. Your behaviors are horrendous and appalling Golden Corral AKA owner Mike and staff Shame on you.

Well, you are going to think this is due to my "name"....but we just ate there last week, and our experience was that it was (A) packed...(B) messy...(C) taste and quality of food was minimally acceptable at best and (D) it was disconcerting that some manager was publically yelling at one or more of the cooks manning the visible stations. All the desserts were underdone (like eating raw cake dough)......we thought perhaps the reason for the shape of the place and condition of the hot entrees was due to the huge amount of people in there, but we asked the service person if this was a particularly busy time and he replied "Oh, no...usually there is a line that extends around the outside of the building". Now I gotta ask....this food was like the level of frozen dinner type quality. Why would Marysville flock to this place like this? I dont know. And if being packed was normal, why was the cooking staff finding it such a challenge to keep up, to the point where a manager felt they had to berate the staff in full public view? Perhaps just a bad day? Must be. But we wont be trying it again...... Incidentally, due to the below review, we made a point of trying the Bourbon Chicken. ........*shakes head*

Hate to pick on Maghee, but did I read it right ? Did she and another patron wipe poo off toilet seats before digging in to the food? I call b.s. on getting a stranger to agree to that . Did they happen to be waiting in their car long enough to need the restroom before eating too? Come on people, stop making up things and give honest reviews! Maybe the owner is a Dick or maybe he was yelling at the lazy kids who restock the shrimp one at a time, but has to include the hard working friendly mature staff so that kids parents dont sue for discrimination or mental trauma ( likely caused by excessive gaming & texting) . I drove up to Marysville for a graduation from Portland and went there because they show commercials where I live , but dont have one here. The food beats the hell out of any buffet Ive been (outside of Vegas) and the cleanliness was not an issue at all. All the staff was friendly (namely Julia). The shrimp restock kid didnt look too happy, but I have a feeling its not work related? And I never take ex-employee reviews to heart! This message was not meant to hurt anyones feelings!
