I have enjoyed the food here time after time. But I must say that the service has been very poor almost every time. The food was good enough for me to come back but after my last meal there I am not sure I will be coming back anytime soon. Both our drink and entree orders were botched by the waitress. The food took almost 40 minutes to come out even when they werent busy. We were short one naan bread at our table and we reminded the waitress twice that we were missing one but we did not get the bread we ordered until 10 minutes after we were finished with our meal. I understand things happen and that mistakes are made from time to time. I know its not an easy industry either. However there was not one apology from the staff or manager/owner. When you make mistakes and keep hungry customers waiting you should have the decency to atleast apologize and take some money off the check. It seems that treating customers well is not a priority for this restaurant or at least during the few times Ive been there.

My daughter was very happy that her selection, Butter Chicken, was done right- she was smiling. I ordered the Bhartha -baked eggplant- which was done better than any Indian restaurants we have been to in Ventura county. My son, who thought he was not hungry, had two mango lassis and kept sharing with us... we ordered the garlic naan and the green chili naan- both were great with our dinner. We liked Saffrons blend of spicing- it follows the north Indian tradition. I cook indian food and was impressed. The food would compete easily with NYC restaurants. It outdoes many I know in Manhattan, Jackson Heights, and Edison. The atmosphere was very pleasant (not tacky) and the staff was attentive (not too friendly or wacky). It was great to hear my daughter enjoy her indian food and recollect her grandmas cooking. Check it out, I think youll be smiling too.

Very very poor experience. After waiting 1 hr and seeing tables that came after us finishing up their meals we asked a waiter where are food was, his sarcastic and pissy response was the rudest Ive ever experienced in a restaurant. Turns out the waitress forgot our order, and wouldnt own it, telling us 5 more minutes (it took 15 I presume because they had to cook it). Really if they were even moderately polite about it it wouldnt be a big deal, but geeze talk about bad attitudes. *edit* food was only so-so too

I got chicken biryani at 5/16/14 at 1 pm along with butter chicken and Shahi paneer. Bryan I was horrible like the chef just mixed chicken curry and rice. People who eat authentic indian food would be ashamed of such a biryani. Also i asked for chatni to be packed with the food and waiter took the bag away brought it back and found no chatni when i opened the bag at home. Very absent minded staff.

Nice atmosphere, very friendly too our family. We had some fantastic naan and the garden salad with a lemon mint dressing was wonderful. I really like the three table dressings, especially the green one. The cashew raisin naan was great with the brown table dressing. Awesome food at a nice price. Well be going back next time were in town.

I went two times here and i didnt like even once. All the items in Buffet was not at all hot and the taste is kind of ok. There is no much varieties also. Its kind of old food kept it in the buffet. We dont have much indian restaurants here in newbury part pls take care it properly then you will get nice business.

Stopped here on a whim as we were staying nearby, and definitely enjoyed the lunch buffet! We were planning on ordering from the menu, but the buffet had a wide selection of delicious dishes, and we were quite pleased. Nice ambiance, and polite and prompt service.

Oh, man... the best Indian food Ive ever had. The Butter Chicken is rediculously good. Loved the Goat Curry as well. The rice is freakin perfect. Going back again soon to try out more menu items.

Great Indian fare...super friendly staff. I love to eat lunch here at the buffet. Dont miss the homemade Mango Lassi! The owner treated me to a sample, and Ive gotten one every time since, bravo!

Worst quality Indian food Ive had across the country. Inauthentic, overtly bland with blatant attempts to mask by overly spicing, super poor quality. Very nice decor for a bar.

The food is impeccably spiced, the service is generous and warm and the prices are fair. Try the Navratan Korma -- creamy, beyond delicious. Recommend it highly.
