Speaking as a Ventura County vegetarian, this place wins my favorite Indian food award. Primarily for quality to price ratio. The Veggie thali costs only around $13 (compared to the average $18 at most other Indian places around VC). It is enough for two people and you have your choice of veggie dishes unlike some places where the kitchen chooses your thali veggie selections for you. The family that runs it come across fairly serious and straight faced but are always accomodating to all requests. If you are the sort who is offended when you dont get sacharine smiling service... go somewhere else. If you just want good Indian food for a great price then this is the place to go. My fav veggie dishes here are the Navratan Korma, the Malai Kofta, and of course the Saag (aloo or paneer). The Bengan Bartha (eggplant) is also good... especially with a splash of the Raita (yogurt sauce). They have even made specially requested things for my Indian food savy friends who ordered off the menu. Plus you can also order a Dhosa here which is usually a Southern Indian thing and harder to find around the Ventura county. Sometimes I just get their garden salad and dal soup and for about $6-$7 am stuffed without the garlic naan guilt. Best Gajar Halwa (carroty buttery dessert) I have had.

They serve stale food. Easy way to figure out is to go to the restaurant continuously for two to three days during lunch and you will find exactly same items on the buffet. And if you see closely the items look different each day and the salt content increases each day just because they are reheating the food. How I noticed it is because I came to Camarillo for 2 weeks and this was the closest Indian food option to me and so I went there for 3 days continuously. To make things look different they make something different from the existing food. For example they had dry mixed vegetable on the first day. The second day they made balls out of that veggie and served it with a gravy and the third day they cruched those balls to make a new looking dish out of the existing one. The second day I went, I complained that this food is not fresh to which they replied that they make fresh food each day. The third day I went there, I did not eat at all and came back.

I have to say that the food was amazing, and service was just as good. They are very attentive to their customers and are quick to get you what you need. If you love Indian food, this is a great place to bring friends or family to enjoy it as well. Open pretty late and pricing is appropriate. I will definitely be going here again.

As another reviewer said, service isnt the uppity smiley type but they are fairly prompt with their service. The food is pretty good. My wife usually gets the chicken korma and I try different things. Decor definitely needs updating. I feel like Im in the 80s and 90s, but the food tastes good and fair pricing too.

Was just okay. I know real , authentic Indian food and this was not that... sad to say because hubby and I are looking for a place we can frequent a lot ... we are Indian food obsessed. Chicken tikka was good but the masala and curry were much to be desired had no spice whatsoever and just over all no flavor!

Love Indian food usually, this was just disappointing. Ordered 2 dishes to go, the food was sub-par. Biryani was not made in traditional manner just some rice, veggies and some spice added. Not tasty or interesting in any way. The other dish was equally uneventful. Neither dish tasted or looked fresh.

I wanted something really spicy after a run, so I got some lamb vindaloo, and told them to "turn it up". That, some chai, and garlic naan was the perfect amount of food, and just what I needed. Nice atmosphere, looks more expensive than it is.

Just an average restaurant. New furniture and good decoration but the food wasnt upto the standard. We received some undercooked naan bread and the vegetables didnt even taste the way they suppose to.

Mediocre Indian food and expensive. They bathroom also looks like a gas station bathroom in Victorville. Which makes we wonder what the kitchen looks like. I don’t need to go here again

Unfortunately, all the dishes I ordered turned to be the Worst. Chicken Biryani, Veg Biryani, Baingan Bartha was not good, infact never had such a bad dish. Saag Panner and nan was ok.

Pathetic service and average rating food. Food arrived after 30 minutes after the order. The person who served was not at all cordial. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My new favorite Indian Lunch Buffet in Ventura County. Service is not bad but not exactly smiley and friendly either. Buffet is always varied and excellent quality

The food here is good, the wait is 15-20 min in my experience although Ive never seen it very busy. The chicken masala is great and the naan is solid.

The vegetable curry tasted like it was out of a can. The water had a chemical taste. That mango lassi was watery.
