The first time I came here was for my Indian friends birthday. And to be honest, Ive returned here multiple times with friends. That day, I ordered the tandoori sizzle (which is just grilled, so it was a bit dry) and mango lassi, a mango and yogurt drink. Personally, I wasnt a fan of the lassi. Im not a huge yogurt fan to begin with, so it didnt agree with my palette. The chicken was well flavored, though a bit dry. However, after sampling some of my friends dishes, I realized that ordering the stew dishes was the best way to go. Since then, Ive been here once for the weekday lunch buffet (at $10) and multiple times for just dinner, in which I always order Chicken Tikka Masala ($9) and onion kulcha ($3). The Chicken is cooked in a creamy spiced sauce, and it is absolutely delicious with rice or bread. the meal is pretty big, so I always take home leftovers. Watch out for your spiciness level though--I always feel like the medium is just a tad too spicy for my liking (and I can handle a decent amount of spiciness), so I can only imagine the hot. For that like more variety (and a cheaper meal), I recommend the lunch buffet. It comes with naan and offers a variety of dishes for you to sample, as well as some salads and dessert. However, I found that the quality of the chicken tikka masala decreased slightly when being served at the buffet (not sure why), but it was nice to try some other dishes. Overall, great food, intimate atmosphere, generous portions, close to campus and decent prices. Makes for a pretty good meal to me!

I love Indian food and I have been looking for a place near USC campus for a while. I have been here before, like 6 months ago and I wasnt impressed, but a friend urged me to go back and I did. And let me tell you, I have been there 2 more times since. The menu is great. I love the chicken saag, the garlic naan, and one of my favorites is the samosa chaat. I think the owners are really trying to improve the quality, today the asked me about how one of my dishes was because it was a new item on their menu and they seemed to take the feedback constructively. I really like this place and I will be back. Enjoy

NOTE: GREAT PLACE FOR VEGETARIANS! Ive eaten at Manas at least a dozen times, and Ive never been disappointed. Manas is the only indian restaurant I know of to service tofu butter masala, and boy do they make it will. Im also a huge fan of their paneer tiki masala and fish vindaloo. For a pescetarian, Manas is heaven. The prices are great and service is quick! Delivery is a $20 minimum and it will take about an hour, but the food is just as good and convenient when youre feeling lazy. I find myself craving Manas at least once a week. My favorite hidden gem in the USC area.

Conveniently it was just blocks away from where I lived -- Ive since graduated, but still make pilgrimages from time to time. Have yet to find better Indian food in Los Angeles. Reasonably priced for the quality. The woman who runs the restaurant is extremely friendly almost all the time, though Ive caught her on a bad day or two. Best dishes in my opinion are the Manas Special Chicken Curry, Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Palak Paneer. Cant go wrong with the garlic or cheese naan. Authentic or not, its fantastic.

Manas is gem to come across. Their food is some of the best indian food around. Their Bhel Puri will not disappoint, a wonderful array of flavor and crunch. They hit flavor perfectly, and their spicy ratio is absolutely perfect.(But personally I ask for my food to be spicy. I read other reviews and wonder how spicy they order their food. Imagine on a lower scale it may not be as season, cause thats what you are asking for.) The staff is absolutely friendly and their delivery does not leave you waiting to long. I love them!

I went today and there was a buffet with a decent selection of dishes my wife and I were satisfied and full when we left. I found a big piece of cinnamon stick in my spinich, which I think made it taste good. Not too far from USC although not the best neighborhood but I wouldnt expect any problems. For two with mango lassies and very fresh hot nan $21 not including tip. Above average for being a good restaurant in an out of the way place.

I love indian chinese food. This place has horrid indian chinese food - too spicy, no taste, aroma or flavour. I would have rated higher in spite of the terrible food if the service or ambience would have been acceptable, but that wasnt the case either. Waited 15 minutes before someone came over to take the order. Could have been a cleaner place. But man, dont ruin indian chinese food the way you did.

The food was not good. The rice was overcooked. We ordered mild and they brought medium which is actually really spicy. They got our appetizer wrong... took it back and didnt replace it but still charged us...which they finally removed appetizer charge after avoiding helping us. The server got repremaned loudly making us very uncomfortable. Terrible dinner experience that cost twenty five bucks.

I had the lunch Buffet, everything was absolutely delicious. I had the tandoori chicken, the cottage cheese curry, and chicken curry. I thought it was phenomenal. Its a small place but was not very busy when I went on a Saturday afternoon. Price was reasonable. I think they share bathrooms with the store next door and I think they can keep their bathrooms a little cleaner. Customer service was good

My first time to Manas Indian Cuisine. I am looking forward to coming back! The Chicken Tikka Masala is amazing. Perfectly prepared, a flavorful sauce with authentic, well balanced spices, and tasty, lean chicken. I also got to try Tandoori Shrimp. Large Prawns with the right amount of spice. Even the Garlic Naan and spiced rice were great! Just wish they had a restaurant in Orange County, too.

The food is decent. Not the finest but worth a shot. The Indian grocery store is a nice place to get Indian spices and other stuff. The store has a weird odor which might cause irritation to some people. The grocery store is pretty high on pricing but if you need it, youll have to pay it. You get Indian Maggi, ready to eat MTR packets and famous Bhakarwadi of Chitale Bandhu in here.

Their food here is amazing! I havent been able to find good Indian food since Ive come up to LA so it was great to finally find a place I could quench my cravings. I havent seen cheese naan anywhere else besides here - definitely recommend ordering it! The only downside is its pricier than most other places.

Very good food a little better than Mother India down the street I think. I still think the food can use a bit more spices.some of the dishes are a bit too bland for my taste. I thought Indian food is supposed to make my stomach growl and my ass hurt?!. Without that the pain I dont feel the gain.

The goto place for students at USC. Even though for the lack of a better option, this one isnt all that bad either. The Pav bhaji is pretty good. Most vegetable preperations and the biryani (veggie and chicken) are a few of the good options. They could use a bit brighter lighting there though.
