Living in Tarzana and and married to a Sri Lankan we have eaten here since it opened about two years ago . Ive been to many Indian restaurants and this is truly my favorite. The food exceptional, not greasy, spicy at request and these are some of my favorite dishes. Chicken tikka, tandoori, masala, lamb biryani, the spinach dishes, daal dishes. The naan is more on the light side with very little doughiness and my husbands favorite, if you like seafood, spicy shrimp curry. The staff, all the way from Kumar to Shah, very friendly and the chef often comes out to greet us smiling making sure we have a compliment for him. The ambience elegant not overly cultural more adapted to American modern appeal and nicely lit with very little noise. They always do a kind favor by either giving us a discount because we frequent the place or surprise us by giving free dessert. If there was ever a con it would be a shrimp curry my husband once took out and was a bit too salty, but that can happen anywhere. So five stars all the way around. The price $$+

My family and I went to Asha for the first time on an early Friday evening. The service and food were great! For appetizer we ordered garlic Naan and mussels with curried sauce. Naan and the sauce were fantastic! For dinner, We ordered chicken tandoori for one daughter and shrimp bhuna for the other. For ourselves, we ordered chicken bhuna and chicken briani. Everything was very delicious! I recommend everyone to try Asha at least once. Its a little place with tons of flavor and lots of charm. Prices were quite reasonable for both drinks and food. Well sure be going back there again!!

We had a wonderful experience at Asha. The ambiance is low key with dim lighting and mellow Indian music. Its clean and the decor is tasteful. Our server, Kumar, was very gracious. We had the curry lamb, coconut shrimp and garlic naan bread that was all so delicious. The chef came to our table to greet us and make sure that we were satisfied; and we were. At the end of our meal, Kumar surprised us with dessert, rice pudding. I love good surprises! The price of our meal for 2 was less than $40. We will definitely return.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. And was truly pleased with the whole experience. The decor was very modern and enjoyable for a dinner on a saturday night. The food as well was very delicious. Im a bog fan of chicken korma and both were up to my standards. Ooo and their balti chicken dish was amazing. I was hesitant at first but it was recommended by the waiter and it was a great recommendation! Cant wait to come back with a empty stomach.

Asha is the best Indian food I have ever had. My wife and I tried the Chicken Makhani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Tandoori Chicken. The Tandoori chicken was very moist and flavorful. The Chicken Makhani and Chicken Tikka Masala were great, the best Ive ever had anywhere. The service was a tad slow though, it took them about 15 minutes since we sat down before we were even given drinks, so thats why Im knocking 1 star.

Service was great and entertaining. They are quick to seat you and are very attentive, but they dont stand over you. The chicken tikka masala was hands down the best Ive ever had. We ventured out and tried the chicken coconut currey and although I dont think Ill order it again, it was very good as well. Nice Indian beer selection and medium spice level is on the hotter side. Definitely or new go to Indian spot.

My experience at Asha Indian Restaurant has been great. Their chicken Tikka Massala is one of the finest in the San Fernando Valley. There naan is very tasty as well. The food is as authentic as you will find in the valley. The waiter Shah always treats myself and other customers like family. I come here with my family at least once a week and we never had a bad experience. This is our go to Indian restaurant.

Ashi Indian restaurant is a pleasant joint with very authentic Indian cuisine that wont send your wallet to the cemetery. The lunch deals are very affordable and the portions are quite generous and flavorful. We came during the end of lunch service but the waiter was very attentive and helpful when allowing us to order off of the lunch menu. All in all a very pleasant experience 5 stars. Will come again.

Okay, so Im no Indian food expert. However, I are here with some Indian food experts, and they said it was okay Indian food, compared to actual Indian food. I thought the food was good. Everything was cooked well, it had good flavors. So maybe not he best place for legitimate, traditional Indian food, but it was definitely good. And the poutine is worth it. You have to get the poutine.

Found this restaurant on google maps. Went because it had 4 stars on yelp. I was not disappointed. The service was exceptional. The staff was kind and very friendly - our server gave us complimentary dessert... Only reason I didnt give 5 stars: lamb in the lamb tikka was slightly over cooked albeit still very flavorful. I will definitely go again when I am in the Valley area.

OMG this place has amazing tamarind sauce! LOVE LOVE LOVE the sauce. I order delivery every Monday night, and have been doing so for the past six months. I ate inside the restaurant and they have a good seating area, too. So going to eat there in real life is going to be a good choice, too. Its just that delivery is also very awesome.

Probably the best Indian food Ive had. Great flavor, a lot of heat (if you ask for it) and the service was amazing. Its been here for a little less than two months and Im really impressed. Hope they can keep it up - Im looking forward to going back.

The restaurant is beautiful, the food I had was tasty, but honestly, the service was eye blisteringly bad. Ive worked in restaurants and have a soft spot for what they have to put up with. But this place was horrible. Never, ever, ever again.

Friendly and quick service. Lamb Bhuna was fantastic! Savory, perfectly balanced seasoning, and goes well with the pashhwari naan. A shame we were the only customers in the place.

Great food and decent price. If you are a fan of Anarbaghs and have a craving for Indian while in Tarzana, this is the place.
