I have dined at Amoroma regularly for a number of years and love it! It is disheartening to read some reviews that bash the restaurant and servers. I admit that there has been turnover in the service staff and that many of our long-time favorites no longer work there. Despite this we have always found the service to be adequate at worst and the food and ambiance to be excellent. The owner, Hafiz is almost always on site and supervising all aspects of restaurant. I always recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a lovely dinner in or near Moraga!

Although we were excited about a new restaurant in Orinda, what a disappointment this restaurant has been. In all fairness, the food is OK but the wait staff is awful. From the hostess to the bar tender, all are clueless. Ill be honest, we are not types who demand much from our restaurants. But when you get the wrong food, and its late, and the waiter could care less, its a problem. We hope they can fix this problem, but until then, steer clear of the place.

Weve enjoyed this place for years. It has good food and nice people. In the couple dozen times weve eaten there, Ive enjoyed every meal. Id call it a comfortable, friendly neighborhood restaurant. The review bashing it is six years old and irrelevant.

Excellent food. Had the Ravioli, it was delicious! Not too much tomatoes flavor, which I appreciate as it didnt overpower the Ravioli. Outdoor patio is nice, comfortable. We had a big party & we fit nicely.

I’ve always enjoyed my meals at Amaroma. It is, without a doubt, the best restaurant in Moraga and a fine meal in a very nice environment. Not sure why it is not more highly rated. It is worth a visit.
