Ive been eating at Souplantation for over a decade now, at locations around Southern California - and the quality has always been very consistent across the several locations Ive been to. I assumed this Sweet Tomatoes would be the same, but I was a bit disappointed. The staff attention to restocking items and keeping the salad & pasta bar fresh was very lacking. They no longer include any chicken in the wonton chicken salad, and one of the salads appeared to just be a pile of soggy spinach with dressing and no other fixins. Granted we went in here just before 8 pm, but I would still expect them to continue making more food to service paying customers who just went in - which they had zero intention to do. The pasta bar has never been a highlight at this chain, but at this location they had completely given up. I asked the staff member if they would be making more mac n cheese, and she claimed they "ran out" (the dish was left completely empty just before 8pm). A few minutes later I saw her pulling out supplies for the next day including a tub of pre-cooked macaroni and a vat of cheese sauce - with no intention of cooking more. I guess "ran out" means theyre not interested in making anymore, maybe to save costs who knows. What left an impression here was the uninspired staff and lack of customer service.

Dear owner, our name are César and Gustavo. We cant explain how disappointed and mad we felt about our last visit to your restaurant on Saturday 10th of 2016,we were very popular costumers but this time changed my mind about this place. As you know your restaurant has a lot of costumers and people hows work for you they try to do the best and work hard just to make happy to everyone but the most happy is you because they make you more rich. It was a very busy day and we saw a girl cleaning the tables and she dropped some plates causing in convenience to the manager that actually he is the worst manager that youll could have administrating your money because he came to the dinning room and started screaming and humiliating to the girl and that was enough and he called all the workers right in front of all of the consumers humiliating causing everybody to get uncomfortable. He would snap hes fingers, acting rude and making feel your employees like a SLAVES. I didnt like hes actitude as a manager and we called to labor commission already. Think about this ...a bad manager can have the best team and completely destroy it causing the best workers to move to another company and those who remain lose all motivation and of course youll losing a lot of money .

Great for vegetarians and vegan although there are a couple of items with meat; the chili soup and bacon bits. For the meat lovers, youre probably wondering how this can possibly fill you up and it did. But, at $15.99 plus another $2.59 for a drink, it comes down to paying $20.00 for soup and salad. This place is not bad, in fact its quite good. The salad line has great varieties and its nice and ice cold. Their bread selection was fresh and tasty. Being April Lemon month they had lemon corn bread and lemon lava cake. They even have lemon soft serve ice cream. But I gave this place a three stars is because some of their other items are out and ten minutes later, it was still out. For example, their Corn Chowder was almost out and what was left was pretty dried up and sat that way for quite some time. They were constantly out of soup cups and soup spoons too. Their fresh fruit was not existent and quite disappointing with sad looking cut oranges and loose grapes. I think if they put as much effort as they did with the salad bar, this would be a great healthy option.

This place is literally amazing. Its a soup, salad, pasta place. The soups are always really good soups. The kind you actually want to eat. They have about 8 or 9 soups out at a time. They refill then often and theyre always hot! Who wants cold soup, right? The pastas they have vary day to day. But everyday they have macaroni and cheese and its cooked WELL. other days they have rice, other days spaghetti, other days penne. I usually stick to the macaroni but my friend eats them all and is happy. They have a little ice cream section as well with vanilla, chocolate, and mixed. A few toppings. Good stuff. The drinks are consistently sweet and refreshing. The service is pretty quick, never had to wait too long for someone to clear my plates which is nice. The bathrooms are really nice for a buffet restaurant if you know what I mean. Im never afraid to go pee lol overall I recommend!!

Every time you come here, its a bit different, there either different soft serve flavours or different pasta noodles served. Either way you walk out of there with a full stomach possibly half satisfied. Its a typical buffet, salads, soups, bread related foods, pastas. During any time of the light of day, theres just rays of light in that place. Its usually to come here and spend 40 minutes here, the tables are clean, as well as the bathrooms, and you usually hear the noisy little kids.

Decent salad bar with good variety but not great. Why they never have kale? Decent prices with a 15% to 20% coupon. Workers sometimes jump in and grab finished plates without warning, not subtle or a excuse me. Sometimes plates pile up and they dont pick up at all. They have good muffins though. This place is not as clean as before, plates and silverware are sometimes dirty with soap residue maybe. Its still better than Fresh Choice but dont know if they are still in business.

Most of these reviews are written by their staff. The pasta is awful....over cooked and not much in it, and they mix old, overcooked pasta in the old unwashed serving pan, with new pasta. Why? to save a few pennys? probably...Pasta flavor is bland at best. Many of the salads dont have all the ingredients in them. Desserts are often not out on time. This is an average to below average Sweet Tomatoes, and I have eaten at them all over the state.

All you can eat soup, salad, and sides for $12. The salads are pretty good, though slightly over dressed. Always plenty of soup options (i think 6+), including tomato basil, clam chowder, chicken noodle. The cheese corn chowder is one of my favorite. Baked potato station lets you put whatever you want on your potato. The fresh muffins and focaccia breads are awesome, esp the pepperoni pizza one. Mac and cheese is also good too!

I like sweet tomatoes and salad bars so I may have a bias but I love this location. Fresh, larger than the pleasanton location, cleaner and roomy. Also located in Pleasant Hills version of Sodosopa, near urban plates, gotta eatta pita, Jamba juice and the movie theater Pros: togo salad bar best ceasar salad fresh options Cons: can get crowded staff can be aloof or rude pastas and breads can be stale

First time patron. Food was acceptable. Service was below par. Not once during our stay did our table, the empty tables around us, or the other tables with diners get cleared off dirty/empty plates and bowls. It got so bad that one guy just off loaded all of his families plates to a table behind him and then myself and one other group follow suit. Wouldnt come back based on this experience.
