I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I hate big American pub like cafes because I have never been amazed by the food or drinks. I dont often order any caffeinated drinks but my gf ordered the mocha and it was probably the best mocha I had in a while. Im not a real coffee drinker so I enjoyed the creamy chocolatey taste of the cup of mocha. We shared a karls cornflake French toast and a zunis egg Benedict. The French toast was crunchy and fluffy topped with bananas and strawberries. There wasnt a hug abundance of fruits which was disappointing but still good about a 3/5. Eggs Benedict werent anything crazy good but it held together nicely. The hollandaise needs for seasoning for sure and more of it. Hash browns were below average. It was dry and wasnt binding together, it tasted like shredded potatoes and baked on one side. Overall the cafe isnt extraordinary but it wasnt a bad choice! I would recommend to others

Ive been meaning to try Cafe Buna for years, and finally made my way there this week. Id actually tried to go on the weekend, but the line out front was intimidating, so I opted for a weekday breakfast instead. The space inside is much bigger than I thought it would be, and the menu is HUGE! So many options to choose from, and everything sounds so delicious. I opted to go with the Wet Chicken Mole Breakfast Burrito. First of all, it is massive! And secondly, it is delicious!! The waiter told me the mole sauce is home made, and I have to say, it is some of the best mole Ive ever tasted. Also, the coffee here is fantastic, and the service is great. My only criticism is the pricing, which I think it a bit high for breakfast. Its easy to spend $20 per person.

Pretty good food if youre in the area and want something quick that isnt fast food. I ordered their Benedict plate and biscuits and gravy, it was pretty good. They give a lot of good side options for your entree, I went with the home style potatoes which didnt disappoint. The biscuits and gravy was some of the best Ive had. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because it was extremely loud in there they have sound bouncers on their walls to purposely make the room loud, every time the people next to us laughed it felt like they were laughing into a microphone and the speakers were right next to our ear.

Food is good, but go elsewhere if you appreciate a good cup of coffee. They dont know how to make a latte. I even tried just the regular coffee of the day, and it proved to be lackluster. After receiving our food (the toast was burnt), we were completely ignored until they finally brought our check to us. There were two waitresses who attended to us at first, and I have to say both were unfriendly- so I guess it was ok they ignored us, since we no longer had to deal with their unpleasantness. Though we enjoyed our meal, we wont be back due to how we were treated.

I came in on a Friday just before 8AM, and the staff told me about their weekday breakfast special (2 eggs, 2 bacon strips or sausages, potatoes, and bread for $4.98) before I even sat down. The special ends at 8AM, so I was glad that the server was kind enough to give me the last minute heads up! My meal was solid, and the staff was nice and attentive during my entire meal. I am generally a low-maintenance customer, but great service should never go unnoticed! I will definitely be back.

Came here with my daughter for brunch. We shared the lemon zest pancakes and Berry berry stuffed french toast. They were both good but I prefer the light lemon zest pancakes over the heavy cream cheese. Service was good and refilled our coffee regularly. Only down side is it gets a little loud and there isnt any booth seating. We had no problem parking in front on the street, but Im sure its more difficult during peak hours.

We went Feb 4th around 1030am Sat in the very back two top table next to wall. Wont return. The food was bad. Sausage tasted off. Pancakes tasted like gooey and spongy. Service was bad. She didnt ask for our order or even drinks order for atleast 20 min after we sat. She finally took our order and never returned to our table. not even for 1 check in. A food runner even brought the food. Terrible. Will never return.

Amazing ground turkey, spinach, tomato, onion, omelette... Just the right amount of egg to meat ratio (less egg, more filling, perfect for me). Stuffed French toast was delicious. Green Money smoothie was really excellent, not too sweet, but not like you were eating an avocado. Organic custom tea and organic coffee. Atmosphere and service was comfy and fast and friendly. I definitely will be back... Hidden gem!

The food is really good, portioned on the larger side, and priced very reasonably. I wouldve given it 5 stars, but we were pretty much ignored by our waitress to the point where a food runner was taking our orders and the only one checking on us. Also, we were charged $5 for a 12oz cup of orange juice although there was nothing on the menu about this. (Below in the pictures is the Italian scramble with hashbrowns.

Food is good. Service is good. The problem with this place is that they are always trying to rush people out because there is a long line every day. You have not even gone through your food or coffee and they already have the bill on the table for you. I understand, I go here once or twice a week. If you are ok with that there is nothing bad about the place. In other words NO BUSINESS MEETINGS!!!

My husband and I tried this place last week, have to say, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! We got sat right away. It took the waitress 20 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge that we were sitting there. Granted, she was busy, but at lease acknowledge that we are sitting there. It took 45 minutes to get our food. In total, we sat there for an hour and a half to grab breakfast. Food was ehh, do not reccommend!

Easily one of my favorite West Side destinations. The menu is almost too expansive, so its difficult to decide what I want to eat every time I go... Still, that doesnt detract at all from the fact that whatever you get tends to be fantastic. On top of all of that, great service, fair prices, and an excellent location always make this a wonderful experience.

I love Buna, its a great breakfast spot. They have a hugeee menu, and some seriously great smoothies. It can definitely get packed, but theyre usually pretty good about getting people seated quickly. The only time Ive ever left because the wait was too long was when all the other restaurants on there block had lost power and everyone went to Buna.

Food is really good. A little pricier than your average breakfast, but can be worth it. The menu is extensive and diverse. The seating is super simple and casual... always packed on weekends and busy on weekdays. They also have great coffee. Because its the border of Venice, you can usually catch sight of a few eclectic diners or passerbys.
