I thought this was a cereal bar from the reviews I read. Nope. Its a basic breakfast place. The sandwich I got was excellent. The wait was a bit long, but they brought my food right to me. I got the super crojo. It was great, but the burrito someone else in my group got looked better. Not a lot of seating, but I think thats part of the places character. Just dont go expecting a cereal bar. Go expecting good breakfast sandwiches and burritos and stuff.

What you need to know before you go.... 1. The place packed on weekends. 2. The food is amazing and fresh. 3. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for. 4. Its counter service, so have someone grab a seat while you order. 5. Theres not much for the gluten-free crowd. 6. The acai bowl is amazing. Be sure to get the fresh berries! 7. Theres only street parking, so expect challenges. 8. Seating is very limited.

Ive been coming to Flake for quite sometime now. It started as a Saturday treat for my girlfriend (ex) and I before we headed to the beach to longboard for the day. Their staff is always kind and never forgets my order :) Its nice to walk into a place where you feel welcomed and remembered each time. If I was to recommend the perfect breakfast it would be their Ice Coffee and Super CroJo. Amazing!

Enjoyed a late morning breakfast at Flake. Good coffee, good food, good service. A casual hip and quirky atmosphere with limited indoor and outdoor seating. As we enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches and yogurt bowls, we took in the framed cereal advertisements from yesteryear. Anyone remember Franken Berry cereal? No public restrooms and cash only.

Great little place. The people were very nice. Coffee was good too. I had the bagel with egg and ham and "special sauce" didnt think I would like the sauce but it is very good. It had a little heat to it. Its some sort of roasted pepper sauce. Very tasty. An easy walk from north Venice beach.

We liked Flake so much that we went here twice when we stayed in Santa Monica. I first got the bacon & egg breakfast burrito which I thought was amazing. On my second visit I got the Ninja Acai bowl and it was even better. If you want a nice local place for a quick and good breakfast, go to Flake.

Gotta love a place that serves breakfast all day! I had the Cro-Jo and was not disappointed. This location was quite small, with limited seating. We came in the middle of a Thursday, at off hours and still had to wait a bit for our food, so I can only imagine this place is packed on the weekends.

The Rad and The Veggie Rad are McMuffins on steroids! Brekkie is always so fresh and tasty! Havent had the chance to have lunch or anything other there, but the morning meals are delish. The atmosphere is great, staff is always friendly and helpful. Great quick, easy, no hassle stop!

Hipster style sandwich/wrap spot with amazing tasting food. Im from NY so $4 for a Bacon Egg and Cheese is typical price back home. And this sandwich was well worth the $4 Coffee is great too, I went on a Wednesday late morning and it wasnt too bad. Was able to get a seat for 2.

Really cute little place in a fab little neighborhood. I had a tasty bowl of oatmeal (boring, I know) and my breakfast companion had the acaia bowl, which she raved about. The coffee was good and the service was friendly. Nothing fancy but really great experience.

I work about 5 minutes from Flake and find myself going over there on a daily business either for myself or my coworkers. The service is amazing, the food is great, and the breakfast cereal bar is to die for! A fun place to kick it and have a coffee.

Ive never actually sat down to eat here (always take it to go), but their breakfast foods are extremely tasty and their menu is pretty diverse. Cool little corner spot on Rose with quick service. Definitely recommend for breakfast / brunch.

Their breakfast sandwich hit the spot, but the place is too small. The tables are squeezed together, if you can find one, and there always seems to be a line out the door. They do have a great selection and some health-centered options.

The veggie rad with added tomato. Not sure whats in the veggie sausage, but its the best Ive ever had. Tomato needed though. Its just too rich without it (for me anyways... but any egg and cheese is to me, without tomato).

Food is good and very affordable for the area. The space is very small though and gets quite crowded on weekends. Definitely more a breakfast spot than anything else. Menu is limited, but not hard to find something good.

The iced tea was refreshing & comes w/ one refill. I came for a quick bite over the weekend during the Venice Art Walk & the place was packed. The Gammys Griller w/ tomato is one of the best Ive ever had!

The best quick breakfast food that is sure to heal your hangover. Prices are cheap and the food is really good. I highly recommend going Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon.

Very good breakfast food and very pleasant staff. Small space that gets packed quickly. Order ahead if you can. We couldnt get through on the phone when we tried.

The good was ok. The service was ok. But the crowd was horrible. I got shoved and elbowed in the face by this guy because he wanted the table I was grabbing.

This place is pretty much awesome. Been to Venice beach like 3 times in the last year and I make a point to stop at this place for a light brunch every time.

I stopped in for lunch based on web reviews. It did not disappoint. Casual atmosphere, good food. No corners were cut, simple but crafted and tasty food.

This place is such a cute, little beachy spot. I got bubbas basic and the acai bowl, which is one of the best Ive had. The food and service were great.

Had the super CroJo. Sandwich was good, coffee was appalling. Girlfriend had the cappuccino, I had the house roast. We both threw away our drinks.

One of (maybe 2) of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. Im a foodie who prides himself on finding great local spots. This satisfied my 4 person crew

Authentic neighborhood breakfast staple with hometown Venice vibes. Home of the Super CroJo, the superior Manwhich and the original acai bowl.

Good breakfast/brunch options. Traditional American. No real organic or healthy options. Nice outdoor sitting with people-watching on Rose Ave.

Loved the Acai bowl and breakfast sandwiches. Trendy shops around with light traffic on the street. Limited seating so may be a short wait.

Great place for a take out. Try their Super Cro-jo. This place is busy on a weekend, so dont expect to be seated too soon.
