I looked at other reviews and its hysterical what negative things people say about this place. Someone wrote about the bad service, overpriced menu, and that its a small restaurant. Ladies and gentleman, this is a French bakery in the heart of Beverly Hills, not some small Podunk town. And by the way, I just paid $19.50 for 6 pastries. Thats $3.25 for each one. How much cheaper do you want it to be??? This is not a fine dining experience. For the location the prices are VERY fair. If you want amazing customer service with an incredible restaurant experience, then go to Cut, Mastros, Wolfgangs, Spagos, and all the other big restaurants. This is by far the best French Bakery in the city, state, and even the country! The only other place in the world that will compare or possibly beat Chaumont, is a bakery in Paris. However, the owners are both from Paris, so this could literally be a bakery equal to one in Paris and its on Beverly Dr. ! If you are looking for incredibly delicious French pastries that taste just like your in Paris, this is the place!! Ive tried all of their pastries, croissants, and they are incredible! I special ordered one of their desserts for Christmas, it was the best dessert on the tray! My wife and I were a hit at that party! :) I highly recommend Chaumont Bakery! Please IGNORE the negative reviews, theyre NOT true!

Beautiful looking pastries in a prime location, I was really expecting a bit more. For starters I got lucky with a parking spot right out front and the service was excellent. I went with his recommendation of the croissant twist with cinnamon, dollar more than the croissants but it also looked a bit better. Might have been my fault for not eating it right away, but when I enjoyed it later that afternoon it was a bit chewy, not the crisp and flaky crust I was looking forward to. Also think I would have enjoyed the chocolate more than the cinnamon, it was a bit lacking. I will have to give them another chance, they had so many enticing looking pastries, eclairs next time.

So it seems like its home made Cuban verses corporate Portos... The verdict...? Well its difficult. I like to support home made, small businesses... But Portos has things down to a science... Since I have only tried Gigis once, I cant say much. It tastes delicious! I can tell you that much. Honestly, I dont want to sit here and compare. I have to say that if this little spot can get itself in comparison to a huge well known bakery like portos... They have accomplished a lot. The staff is nice, the food is good, and if Im in the area, I would totally come by here again. I would recommend trying it!!Chaumont Bakery & Café is best.

There wasnt much to select on a Sunday morning, but we found four pastries to try. The chocolate éclair was the best creation of the four with a fun pudding-like chocolate filling. The croissant had a crust like a water-washed bagel. The chocolate version didnt have much chocolate and what chocolate there was, unevenly slid to one side. What looked like a cream puff was really a custard-filled sandwich called a tarte tropezienne. The custard was packed between layers that were half bready and half cakey, but mostly unsatisfying. They also sell baguettes and coffee along with serving breakfast and sandwiches.

This shop is located on the one of the main street, Beverly Drive, but I maybe most people have been missing it. When I was planing about my boyfriends birthday, one of my French friend recommended this shop. She really push this shop so I bought a strawberry shortcake from here. Now I can tell... If you ate this, you will regret you paid any money for anywhere else in your past. I tried tarte aux framboise and tarte aux fraise the other time. Both of them were great! Bon appetit!

The place is super-cute with mirrors and marble tables. Went there on Monday around 10am for breakfast and the place was almost full. Liked the white decor which complimented the natural light streaming in from the full windows-a la Mediterranean! Had a latte and a pain "au choc-both" of which were good. Also bought a mini loaf of cranberry+walnut which I had for dinner w the pate bought from CuriousShoppe - both were deicious! Recommended if youre in the area! Thanks!

This FRENCH overpriced restaurant used to be one of the best, now turned into a more overpriced place with terrible customer service and they just does not make your order properly and when you pick up your order they informing you that we dont do this and that anymore, they do it after fact not before it, when you have already paid the full price and too late to get your order from some place else, French style service, means terrible service

Had a Good mushroom/cheese omelet fo lunch but side bread was stale. Tried croissant, chocolate croissant and raisin roll and they were all stale. Certainly not fresh and definitely not buttery. Pastries were good (fraisier, éclair, blackberry tart). Overall good for pastries and very disappointing for croissants.

Lovely French bakery with amazing food! If Im looking to get a quick breakfast, cappuccino and croissant are great. Breakfast food options: croissant with salmon and pouched eggs or avocado spread For lunch highly recommend chicken sandwich or chicken salad.

Awesome place. People super nice including the young owners who also work there. Try the almond croissant at your own risk. Youll find yourself hooked and returning every day for more. Amazing! And the coffee is the best anywhere!

French owned Patisserie. A little precious, but the eclairs are superb and the baguettes arent too bad either. Coffee could do with some extra focus. It doesnt match the care and attention paid in many other areas. Very good service.

Had breakfast and coffee here with a friend who loves it. Have to say, I now also love Chaumont. Great healthy breakfasts and then sweet treats when you inevitably decide that theyre a much better breakfast. Coffee is well made.

Best croissants in LA. Period. In turn, probably the best Viennoiserie, in town too! Did I say it was cheap? Its not. But do treat yourself! Divine pain aux raisins, perfect almond croissant, superb pain au chocolat. I

Really good croissants, well at least the almond one. Food was pretty good too. The tart was only okay. Service is great. Free 2hr parking a block south. Its a short walk aways.

Famous for their chocolate croissants, eat them while theyre fresh! They dont stay overnight very well, mine became a little stale. But they come back to life when toasted.

Amazing, reasonably priced, pastries. Just like the boulangeries in Paris. They also serve a great variety of breakfast dishes. I highly recommend the Think Pink smoothie.

Take the time to stop in for an espresso or some of the delicious pastries. This is a great alternative to traveling to France for a cafe experience.

Quaint breakfast/lunch kind of place. Salads, sandwiches, a few egg dishes and other breakfast dishes. And pastries. And baguettes.

I religiously come here for cafe au lait, a buttered croissant and petit-fours. Absolutely reliable quality and old-world charm.
