We have been there every week since it opened. Not inexpensive and often we dont have takeout which is very unusual for my wife (although the lamb shank last week has lasted multiple meals) . I suppose we could have worse addictions. We have managed to control our spending somewhat by ordering bottles of wine - $29 for a very enjoyable Cava Cristalino, $36? for a N.Z. Craggy Ranch Sauvignon Blanc and when we are by ourselves, only one appetizer. The mussels appetiser is the best we have ever had. Their creamless corn soup (last week off the menu) and squash bisque (now on) are one of their least inexpensive appetizers ($12?) and very yummy. My wife thinks the diver scallops are the best she has ever had. They added duck breast last week and that was the best I have ever had. I have very mixed emotions about telling people how much we enjoy this restaurant - I like being able to get what I now consider "our table" without much trouble.

This is a very professional fine dining restaurant. Waitress was very knowledgeable and suggested good recommendations. We ordered "Garden of Paradise" juice which had poemgranate and ginger in it. I liked it. Waitress was suggesting salad but I chose pizza. Greek vegetarian pizza made from the wood fired oven is the best I had. Ingredients were fresh. My friend ordered salmon which was very delicious. We were discussing about the dessert bombolini we recently ate in another restaurant. Waitress heard it and mentioned the differences in the way that restaurant makes and at cetrella. Bombolini was good. I am surprised that empty los altos had such a nice restaurant. We will be definitely visiting this restaurant again to explore other menu items. 2ND VISIT WAS VERY BAD

Reservations are necessary at least for peak meal times and while the restaurant is still new. I had an amazing dinner with my family on Labor Day. Portions are somewhat small for the price, but I appreciate having just enough food on my plate for me to be full and not feel overstuffed. Every single thing we tasted was so delicious! Whole grilled Branzino, Wagyu steak, pork duo, and short rib "pot roast" were all on point. Service was attentive and friendly. Well definitely be back!

Cetrella is one of the few fine dining restaurants in Los Altos. The expansive space is good for large parties, but the small bar area is fit for meeting up with friends or dining alone. The menu is Italian inspired and seasonally driven. The portions are on the smaller side for the price. Staff is friendly and professional. The front of the house is a bit chaotic, perhaps they are just getting the kinks out in the first few weeks open.

Great food, proper portion sizes, great service. Not inexpensive. Update: we came back for lunch. The Wagyu burger was a letdown for me. It was cooked perfectly. The fries were excellent. The beef itself was very lean, which is not what is expected when people hear Wagyu. They expect marbled beef. It was frankly, dry. And the burger itself was small.

I went for a late brunch on a Sunday. It was fairly vacant by then (past 1:30 pm) but the service and food was great. I ordered beef carpaccio but they later found out it was out, so they later offered us a nice Panna Cotta dessert on the house. Nice touch! The main dish, eggs & house smoked salmon benedict, was delicious!

Beet arugula salad (amazing, 6 out of 5), oysters (perfect), foie gras (4/5), chocolat fondant desert. All excellent, perfect prep, perfect timing, excellent service. I ate alone and was glad I did. Eat slowly and savor here. Owner checked in on me several times. He cares and it shows. Will be back.

Good food, not quite impressive enough given the price. Attentive service, a bit too eager to top off the water glasses but at least everything moves quickly -- a plus for families with small kids. Will definitely go back from time to time, hope the quality stays the same or improves.

The service is great, and I especially like the ambience in the bar, but what keeps me coming back is the quality of the food. Its easy to eat clean here with the simply grilled entrees and vegetable sides. And the veggie Greek pizza is excellent too.

Atmosphere was great. Felt upscale yet comfortable. Food was good, but maybe not as good as their price should suggest, but still satisfying. The house cabernet was a little lacking. Would probably choose a different wine next time.

美味しい。味は間違いなし。うるさすぎないし、ゆったりしているしで、ちょっとハイソサエティな人が多い印象。

Feels like a hotel restaurant, professionally designed w no character. Menu is uninspiring and expensive. Your classic kale salad w strawberries, roasted brussel sprouts, cookie cutter blah.

Drinks and wine were very good. The pasta was very good, but other dinner items were mediocre at best. Staff was friendly. Maybe they were having an off night.

Good food, but not awesome. Prices are a bit high, that seems to be a theme in Los Altos. The wine list is just OK and the prices are ridiculous.

Good Mediterranean food. The octopus was perfect. Good ambiance, but service was pretty slow on this particular visit considering it wasnt busy.

With the price and quality of food, I can only give three stars. I will give four stars if price is lower.
