We are staying in the Coachella Valley for a week and looking for a place to have breakfast that would be new to us. The Broken Yolk was nearby, and despite having a couple of bad reviews as well as some good ones, we decided to try it. We had a GREAT experience, so good in fact that we went back the next day to see if it had been a fluke. It wasnt. Well be going back again tomorrow. Ive had the Mile High Omelet and a Just Eggs plate and both were delicious. The restaurant is new, nice, and spotless. Every employee we had contact with spoke excellent English, dressed nicely in colors that tell you what their function is [server, greeter, busser, etc.] and was friendly and efficient. Ask for Melinda or Lauren and you will have a server who is friendly, bright, and personable as well as an excellent server. This is not to say theres anything wrong with the others; these are the two weve had and well ask for them the rest of the time were here. I have no idea why some of these reviews were so negative. Perhaps there were some early start-up problems. We didnt witness ANY of those things, and Im looking forward to going back.

What a great find! Maybe it isnt a hidden new restaurant to the locals, but for an out-of-towner it took a recommendation to find it. If I lived in La Quinta Id be a regular here! They have a unique assortment of Benedicts, starting with the classic Eggs Benedict and spinning off into some intriguing new variations. The California Benedict was deeeeelicous! They have other breakfast fare. The Fiesta Burrito with beef was a yummy alternative to the every-day breakfast burrito. They also have variations of French toast. The Tiki Toast was over-the-top with coconut flavor. Thick slices of Hawaiian sweet bread, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Served with fresh strawberry/blueberry medley and maple syrup. It comes with three eggs (any style), and bacon or sausage, so your protein is covered too. Attentive service by Christina, our server, was the cherry on top! One thing is for sure, you wont leave this place hungry.

The food and service are both very bad here. My omelette was a separately cooked egg circle folded over a pile of undercooked potatoes, shredded velveeta cheese and bacon. It was not good, my side of hashbrowns was actually not bad, being it was fresh potatoes. My fathers eggs were not cooked to order and he said that happened last time as well. We were seated and received our drinks, then it took about 10 minutes for our server to come. We received our food about 15 minutes later. As i was taking my first bite our server asked if everything was ok... well so far it looked ok. That was the last time we saw her until she brought us our check about 35min later. It was then when we got our refill on coffee and water too. I do not recommend this place at all.

The service was mediocre and the food is overrated- my server started taping her foot and sighing while I was ordering making me (and the rest of my party) feel rushed; then after about 20 min, we finally got our food and it wasnt amazing. I have a dairy allergy and when I asked for my breakfast burrito to to have no cheese, they still put feta all over my beans making them inedible for me; and the rice on the side (which I had to significantly separtate from the beans, losing about half) was not good at all. My first experience here is really a 2, but it could be an off day, so Im going to give it another try and hopefully its better. But if what Ive already experienced is a regular thing, Im changing my rating from 3 without hesitation!

The worst breakfast experience of my life. We came in before coachella. Their was no one there. We order the California breakfast burrito. It was supposed to come with eggs, cheese, bacon, potatoes, guac, rice and beans. When it came it was missing rice, beans, and guac. When I asked the waitress for the missing pieces she gave me a weird look. 10 minutes later she came back with 3 plates. One with brown guac and two with beans and rice. Like I was supposed to assemble my food. My girlfriend ordered 2 eggs over easy and toast. They brough her what looked to be 2 uncooked eggs and bread that was not toasted. I would never got back.

The place was packed, usually a good sign. Seated near the door to outside seating, didnt seem so bad. Then the flies started buzzing around. Our three meals showed up, which the flies stuck around for. Two of the three meals were barely warm. Our waitress was pleasant enough and did bring the gm to our table to address our concerns. His reaction seemed customary, only apologized and was gone. Although a hostess did bring my change with a card for a free entree on our next visit, I wont spend any more time or money at The Broken Yolk. Not impressed, to say the least. I wish I couldve posted this with no stars.

Experience started at the door!!!!! AMAZING SERVICE!!!! The team collaborates and works magic as they Greet and ensure that the guest are well taken care of. Was hesitant at first, but as I sat and was greeted with such Happy, Kind faces and I havent even gotten to the FOOD! Everything ordered from the Tiki Toast to the water was delicious. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this 5 STAR restaurant, I wish I could packed this restaurant up and take it back to home with me! The following, Melodia, Jose, Rebecah, Miguel, Tony and I wish I couldve gotten the rest of the names, there were so many that came to ask how we were doing.

The pricing and the quantity of food was very ample, but its the little things that turned us off. I found the scrambled eggs to be tasteless and the polish sausage was very greasy and under cooked, I had to send the sausage back. My wifes omelet was just OK. We ordered blueberry muffins and they came in the center of the entrée plate between the eggs and home fries. Im use to having the muffin or toast on a separate plate. The home fries were over cooked and the country potatoes were also over cooked. There are better places to have breakfast in the Coachella Valley.

Absolutely Great Service! We walked in looking for the rest of our party. Turns out, they went elsewhere because of the wait. So the manager or assist manager Robert, sees us frustrated and he asks if wed like to dine in, and immediately finds us a seat. We order our food, and while we wait, Robert brings us a plate of Chicken & Waffles that was unfortunately ordered in error by another table. We were HUNGRY, and that was right on time. I watched as Robert went around from table to table and helped the other patrons. Food was good and the service was great! Great Job!

The manager and most staff was very friendly, but every one of our orders came out wrong, They tried to fix it, but by the time everything was fixed we already wanted to leave. The waitress was very unfriendly and seemed like she didny care at all. They had the whole middle section of the restaurant closed off because the ceiling was pouring water. This was the second time I have been there and both times were not good experiences. I wont be back.
