I was going to make reservations for my husbands birthday dinner either at Mastros or Andreas in Newport Beach. Since we live in Huntington Beach, I decided on "Watertable" which used to be the "Californian" at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach. I am glad, we went there. My husband and mother had the prime rib and I had the Branzini fish. The steaks were cooked to perfection and included a side dish and special meat sauce. My fish was one of the best I ever had and the vegetables were delicious and out of the ordinary. We ordered the potato cakes for an appetizer and chose a Chianti and Sangiovese wine to go with our meal. We chose the patio seating facing the water. Amy, our waitress, is experienced and attentive, so is her helper, Heimy. My husband was treated to a generous, complimentary fabulous desert of fresh berries, homemade ice cream, biscotties and chocolate ribbon with "Happy Birthday" written on it. Heimy brought some extra warm bread (delicious) for our mother to take home. When the bill came, we expected it to be much higher. With the local discount we paid less than half of what we would would have paid at Andreas and didt even have to drive very far. After the dinner Heimy showed us the entire restaurant and the private rooms that are available for special events. What a change from the former "Californian" restaurant. The bar area itself wants us to come back for drinks and appetizers. Everything is FIVE Stars all the way!!! We will be regular customers. We are fortunate to live in walking distance.

I was recommended The Watertable from my family for my anniversary. I would say I had probably my best dinner ever. It was a happy positive atmosphere, yet the patio gave you the extra privacy feel. Kameron our server was very personable and able to match wine to what was well fitting to multiple dishes ordered. Between the perfectly cooked juicy lamb chop, to the best duck with a cherry sauce that really surprised me. Amazing! My wife got the chefs Branzino. Light, fresh and amazing flavor. Chef Adam even came to our table to meet us. Amazing experience and even better dinner. I recommend it to everyone. I will be back many more times.

ALL THE DISHES WE ORDER ARE LOADED WITH BUTTER ,CHEESE OR OIL. SALAD WAS TASTELESS AND BITTER, CHICKEN WAS TASTELESS AND CHEWY,DESSERT WAS LOADED WITH SUGAR. WE HAVE A FEELING THE CHEF NEVER ATTEND HEALTH FOOD CLASS. THE FOOD PORTION IS SO SMALL. IT A KID HAPPY MEAL.THE INTERIOR LIGHTING WAS TOO BRIGHT AND NEED TO REDECORATE. DINNER FOR 3 WAS 376.00 WITH 2 ALCOHOL DRINKS.WHOEVER GAVE THIS PLACE A 4 STAR MUST BE DRUNK.

We ordered two appetizers and oh my goodness were they delicious! We had: Pork Belly Pickled Pear Tarts: puff pastry, herb goat cheese, caramelized shallots, balsamic honey, micro arugula--so flavorful and everything pairs well together! Creamer Potato Cakes: twice fried, truffle dip,snipped chives, cracked pepper--who knew potatoes could taste so good?! The truffle sauce is what makes this dish so darn good!

Was there for Sunday Brunch with a party of 17. We sat on the patio and were served by Miles. It was great. Some of us had the buffet and others ordered off the menu. Everyones food was perfect and the service was fantastic. Would definitely go there again.

Love the food, ambience, service! Everyone in the party was happy about the wonderful experience. Recommend the branzino or seabass if you like fish. The potatoes appetizer was also very nice. Filet mignon wins over new york steak.

The atmosphere, food and service are second to none. The owner takes pride in this facility and is always there seeing to business. We visit this place often and have never had anything but an excellent experience.

Went here for my wifes birthday and had a wonderful time. The service was impeccable and the food was great. The lamb was ah-may-zing. Good old fashion cocktail as well. Id recommend for a nice night out.

Its an expensive restaurant. However, the food is delicious. I tried their prefix menu. Definitely heavy. The decor and the interiors are really good. One can relax and enjoy leisurely at this place.

I stayed a week here and hate the place. Rude service, loud noises from adjacent rooms, $29 valet parking...its a pretentious place. I much prefer the Hilton next door.
