Nope, not a good experience for us, I would like to forgive them and remember it being a one-off simple basic mistake, but, being in the food industry ourselves, and expecting something exceptional for such a rated café, in HEALDSBURG, wow, not good, three mistakes. We needed to take away so we could get to a local baseball game, so we got a mocha and a tea and a sausage sandwich or something and a bagel with cream cheese and jelly. Arriving at the game, we eagerly settled into our meal. Wow, no cream cheese on my bagel and the fig jelly was just water, I had to put that aside, mistake 1. The sandwich had so much grease dripping off it we had to put that aside too, mistake 2. At least the drinks were fine, but obviously we went hungry. When the game was over, we returned to the store, explained to them the situation, at least we got our money back, but no apology, no sincere regret or embarrassment, mistake 3. Two stars because it is really a great place inside, there were many other satisfied patrons, our drinks were fine and we got our money back without question.

Weve been coming here for years because their food is really tasty. Unfortunately, today was the last time we ever set foot in the place because they seem to have forgotten what customer service is all about. My wife and I came in for some breakfast, with our 2 year old son, only to be turned away because the line cook didnt feel like making one more breakfast order. The fella to my left had just ordered his and was waiting for what was to be the last order of the day. So we walked down to the Donut Shop a block away, which was happy to serve us a meal, was cheaper, and also delicious. I doubt this review will make the owners of this place reconsider their approach because tourists will continue to come in droves, at least so long as the economy remains on the up-swing and visitors continue to spend money. But what goes up must come down. It remains to be seen whether this place can weather another economic slump when the tourists stop coming, given that they obviously no longer care what their once-loyal customers think.

This is a perennial pit stop of mine whenever I find myself in Healdsburg. The various pastries and savory bakery items are all magnificent and quite tempting. However, there is one item above all others that I must have in my vehicle as I head back home and that is....the Volcano. A focaccia bread bun formed around a center of olives, tomatoes, onions, and asiago cheese, its like a calzone on steroids. The sweetness of the tomato, the richness of the cheese,and the briny flavors of the olives all play off each other wonderfully. Its a flavor combination I regularly seek to replicate in my own baking attempts but I must always return to the source for a reality check. Do yourself a favor and grab one next time you are in the area. Word to the wise, focaccia is done ~9:30am and they are usually sold out by 2pm.

This bakery has a stand at the ferry building and they pretty much sell out by noon. You cant go wrong with any of their pastries. The donut muffins is the best of both worlds for those indecisive folks. The fruit pockets are always stuffed with the seasonal fruit and never disappoint. For the savory side get the cheddar biscuits. This stand is probably the most affordable compared to the other stands.

We stopped in today on our way to Clearlake. We purchased several items, leaving with a shopping bag full of goodies! I am writing to say that the Apricot-Cherry Gallette that we are enjoying for dessert this evening is Absolutely Delicious!!!! The crust is delightful and the apricot and cherry filling is amazing!!! Its so nice when you can count on delicious treats from your wonderful bakery!

A $10 minimum to use a card? I get that in the past its been difficult for small businesses to work with credit card/transaction companies, but these days there are so many options designed for small businesses that charge very little. The woman at the counter this morning who turned me away wasnt super kind about it. Its 2017 guys. :(

Tried to order a cake- week notice is required- because the bakers are "too busy"-was not last time we ordered. Bad to tell your customers that you are "too busy" to help them. Everywhere else is 24 hour notice. Guess they do not want local business. This was repeat business now my repeat business will go elsewhere.

If you want snarky lousy service this is the place to stop. Bad food bad service, if you arent from here dont bother. They definitely do not want your business. Dry dessert unpalatable coffee. Go to the police station if you want to use the restroom. Really?

The line moves quickly and it is nice to eat breakfast or to grab a quick snack and eat it at the plaza witch is right next to the place. The prices are good considering it is Healdsburg and the people are friendly.

Fantastic bakery! Too many good things to list. My favorites are the lemon curd tarts, the very rich chocolate cake, the almond croissants and the focaccia bread rounds. Not to be missed if youre in Healdsburg!

Cozy, local feel. The eclair was just right (half light custard, half whipped cream). Croissant was pretty good too. Pleasant staff, bit of a late Saturday morning bustle added some fun energy to being there.

Donut muffin is fabulous. Parking is usually an adventure. Not good if you are traveling in a hurry. Line was long but went quickly. I only ordered the muffins so dont know how long a drink would have taken.
