I love their seeded sourdough as well. Best bread Ive ever had! Unfortunately I dont buy it because they dont use organic flour on their sourdoughs... or their pastries (their scones are also the best Ive ever had anywhere). It seems like an easy enough thing to do and Id be happy to pay extra for it if they would. I wish they were as committed to a healthy planet and good human health as they are to taste. And actually, the taste wouldnt be any different, so it just looks like an economic decision to not use organic flour. Too bad for everyone. I hope this changes because in Sebastopol people would appreciate it and I for one, would buy their bread every week instead of never.

I ordered a custom cake for my mothers 95th birthday and it was spectacular. A moist yellow cake with custard filling and a chocolate frosting that was COVERED with beautifully rendered marzipan flowers - lilies and roses, sunflowers and more. Wonderful! The cake drew oohs and aahs from everyone; not one of us had ever seen such a cake.( I should add that one member of the family is a professional baker.) Thank you Village Bakery, well done.

I love their products, especially their tartlets and cream cheese Danish. This visit I had pretty bad customer service. They got my order wrong twice and sold me something the kitchen was out of. I waited 20 minutes and my breakfast potatoes were missing. I got a mumbled "you didnt order them" and the persons back as they walked away...Happy mothers day to me.

Nice buns hun. Interesting delicious food the place is too small its a takeout really there is too little please to sit you have to share tables with strangers who dont have there coffee yet , thay need to make an outdoor patio for all the people go fit .

Sisters delivered me a princess cake with my name on it for my birthday. Its the best one Ive had (yet)! I work at a bakery and bake a lot at home so Im picky when it comes to dessert, and Im considering hoarding the second half of this cake. Thank you.

Ive had loaves of rye, sesame seed, roasted garlic, and maybe other varieties. Theyve all been fantastic. Just had an pesto Asiago croissant this morning and it hit the spot. I love that they sell day-old bread, keep waste down!

Village Bakery has wonderfully prepared meals and fresh baked breads along with sweet treats from muffins to my favorite Linzer Cookie. You can find German Rye to Challah, Sourdough to Cinnamon Raisin breads.
