I came here while staying in Camp Meeker because a colleague insisted we go — since we were out for a drive. I could not have been more surprised by my overall experience, all for the better! Wild Flour Bread is cash only, and I only had $5 in cash ("Do you take cards?" "NEVER! :-)"). So when I told the woman working that just a look would be all I had for the day she said, "Why? Wed rather trust you to pay it later or send us a check than pay card fees!" It was an extremely jovial interaction through and through. I would up having a gigantic sticky bun — which I was sticker shocked at the price of, but once I saw the size totally understood — and an excellent latte. I dont get up to the Freestone/Occidental/Camp Meeker area often, but when I am I plan to return to Wild Flour Bakery.

Wild flour Brrad is a bakery that lives up to the reviews and hype! Arrived at their out of the way location as we were traveling between Healdsburg and Point Reyes and were surprised to see how many others had the same destination. The aromas inside the bakery were sumptuous. After a short wait in line, the staff were both efficient and helpful. There are samples for the undecided and bot sweet and savoury options. After purchasing bread we wondered through their garden. It is fitting, that although impeccably tended, the garden is quite wild; a co-mingled blend of flowers, vegetables and herbs. This bakery is worth a detour to visit!

If I could give negative stars, I would. Called in to see if we could get challah bread and was told "I wont make that Jew bread." Decided to give them another chance and went in for breakfast this week, figuring a bakery that great would have bagels. I guess their anti Semitic bread ban goes for all "Jew breads." No bagels. Tried the olive loaf, boyfriend bit into an olive pit!!!! To be fair, they do warn that the olive bread may have pits. There are other great bakeries in town that are neither overrated nor racist.

Stopped in here yesterday on my way to Occidental as I’m always down to try a new bakery. Reviews were pretty positive so my expectations were reasonably high. The two biscotti I had (chocolate hazelnut and candied ginger) were both OK - not super flavorful and a bit underwhelming. Same for the chocolate chip banana scone that I bought for my husband. It’s a shame because I really wanted to like this place more (and the staff was friendly) - just nothing that special.

Really superior bread and superior help. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous and it is worthwhile driving to Wildflour to experience decent bread. We are working our way through the extensive array. Not to be missed is the huge sticky bun which we share. Full of fruit and lovely and messy we would drive all the way from Mountain View just for this. Maybe we should just move to Freestone so that we can indulge ourselves every day they are open! A thing of beauty - visual, aromatic, flavor. It only takes a little over an hour to get there, through the most beautiful farming area, almost to the ocean and there is this treasure. We had the scones: meyer lemon, white chocolate and blueberries, a lovely combination, perfectly balanced, and beautifully baked. I can hardly wait to go back and get a lot of different breads and explore the garden some more. Also, Phelps tasting right across the street! Wonderful!

Oh those gorgeous, giant, sticky bun loaves - well worth a long drive to get your teeth into the fluffy, gooey, cinnamon-y, nutty, heavenly, one of those. Lines can be loooOOoong, but they move relatively fast. You can sample every type of loaf they make, so arrive hungry. Stock up and head straight out to their gorgeous garden - walk though their Hops tunnel, past giant 7 tall sunflowers to the outdoor seating area or rickety picnic table in back.

Whenever theyre open (Friday-Monday), theyre packed, and for good reason. Not only are their brick-oven sweet and savory breads flavorful and perfectly baked, but their scones are moist and unique. Whoever designs their flavor combinations is genius. And, as if that werent enough, the staff is calm, friendly, smiley and efficient. I live 250 miles north, and I have orders from all my friends every time I come down.

We visit here when visiting family in Sebastopol. So much good bread and baked goods! Seriously the BEST scones I have ever had! The area is beautiful and rustic and so is the bakery. I love the wall murals and the openness of the bakery/ kitchen.cant wait til next time, I was just talking about this last night! My husband and I dont get scones out as we hold them to this standard .yum!!

There was a huge line when we first stopped so we continued on but made sure to stop by on the way back. Still a decent amount of folk there and I now know why. This is probably some of the best bread I have had in a long time. Try the sticky bun if you like sweets or the Goudaflat, a flatbread with aged Gouda cheese inside. I finished 3/4 of it without even realizing.

Even though Im local this was the first time I had been here. It smelled amazing. I realized it was cash only but luckily had some on me that day. I was so excited to get eat this bread but was disappointed when I looked a the bottom and it was way overdone. Just a smidge before burnt so if I toasted my bread just slightly it tasted burnt. I guess I went on a bad day.

Be sure to visit in the summer and check out their cool garden. I only live 4 minutes away... luckily I am gluten intolerant and have god self control... Otherwise Id be there every week. :-)

This is tied for my favorite bakery (with Tomales bay, but for very different reasons). This is a GREAT wood fired bakery for different breads. Great selections. They have this warm, heavy, sweet, buttery "bread". Forgotten the name, but wow. All the breads I have tried are very good. Not a white flour French bread type place. Wonderful

Stop here!!!!!!! I braked for sticky buns. The thing I got was about 8 times the size of any sticky bun I ever had. I also got a rosemary cheese bread that was INCREDIBLE. I havent been able to stop thinking about it and cant wait to go back. Really friendly & fast service. Sample the bread before you decide what to buy. Cash only.

Awesome staff and the selection of bread was awesome. The Meyer lemon and olive bread we took home was warm and amazing. Their Egyptian ginger sweet bread sealed the deal for us. The hour and 30 minute drive from San Francisco may need to happen more often. The vibe and decor was totally cool. They also offer other cooked goodies.

Tons of delicious breads to choose from. I had the sticky bun and coffee. The bun was so good! Very friendly staff and the place was packed at 1045 but worth the wait. You can sample any of the breads before choosing too. Also checked out the Wild Flower garden right outside. So glad my friend invited me on Indie Toms meetup!
