I only give this a like instead of a love it review because I am still trying and developing a taste for different textures of food, as well as trying to expand my palette for seafood. I appreciated and enjoyed the recommendation of one of the employees ( I think his name was Matt), who recommended a dish based on the criteria of what I told him that I like. Lets just say I will definitely go back and continue to try other items on the menu. Awesome experience for a lets just say, less than novice sushi lover..

We have gone to this restaurant several times and the food is always outstanding, really! That said, last time we went, we experienced an unusually long wait time between ordering and having our food served. The cook came out personally to apologize and offered free dessert, but a half-hour of sitting at a table, watching others food was being served is completely unacceptable. Also, phone reservations cannot be made until 4:00 PM, and the restaurant opens at 5:00. Less than convenient.

The Lucy roll is the only real vegan options for entrees...Id like to see more vegan options on the menu dont they know fish in the Pacific is completely saturated in radiation from the Fukushima plume...and farm raised fish is concentated filth, steroids hormones antibiotics and tortured beings....more items of vegan choices please the Lucy roll the wakame salad and miss soup were great vegan items...no murder needed! Great atmosphere, staff is fantastic. Rolls were great as was the sake nigiri. Minus a star as we went with the chefs choice dinners (mix of nigiri and sashimi) expecting a omesake type dinner. Many if the dishes werent up to par in my opinion. Overall youll have a good time and receive above average cuisine. I recommend sticking with rolls and appetizers.

Always excellent fresh fish. Good attentive service. Best sushi in GV and NC. Owners committed to great food and service. The tempura is the best I have ever had. Dead on consistent. Cant go wrong here. Kaz, mrs. Kaz and sushi chefs are wonderful people.
