When Im out of town, I usually look to the locals to find the REAL food gems in the area. Well, Im a local to the Sacramento area but had recently been unimpressed by some of the Mexican food places Id been to. So, being a local(lol), I tried Google. It lead me to Taqueria Tapatio. My first time visiting I knew I was I the right place because everyone sitting and eating was Hispanic and the place was packed. I was not disappointed with the food. The Carne Asada super burrito is the right mixture of all the ingredients, so its not mushy or messy. Its flavorful and fresh tasting. Also worth visiting for, is their fresh salsa bar. My wife smuggled some out when we left the other night(shh). I will visit this place often. You should too.

Passing through Roseville on our way to Tahoe, we decided to stop off somewhere for dinner. We took a chance on Taqueria Tapatio; Yelp had good reviews, but we were skeptical of Mexican food in the valley. TT blew us away. Starting with the reasonable price, $8 for a carne asada super burrito with chips and delicious fresh salsa, everything was A+. The carne was tender and flavorful, the burrito composition was the perfect ratio of meat, rice, guac, and sour cream, the server was friendly, and the food was ready with astonishing quickness. Not only was the food amazing, but the tables and chairs are decorated with colorful Mexican scenes to keep us entertained while chowing down. Definitely coming back next time Im in Roseville.

Expect this place to be busy during lunch hour because the food is great. I ate in when I went but it was a little loud because of how small the dinning area was, but it definitely made up for it with the food. Salsa bar is very good. Had to take home some extra chips and salsa for home. If the chips in the bar are all smashed ask them if they can get some fresh ones because theyll have no problem doing so

They easier the prices but the quality of the food went down, the lady who takes orders is so rude and is very byist toward women, when Im in line shes super nice to the men in front of me but as soon as I come up to place my order she gives me a dirty look and does even acknowledge that Im speaking to her ...Then she charges my lil sister 54 cents for a refill but not another cousmer (who was a man )

The Carnitas were excellent. The burrito I had rivaled my favorite place growing up! Workers were friendly. The only thing negative I can say is that it could have been a little cleaner out front. There were quite a few un-cleaned tables. This was my first time in, so maybe I arrived after a rush or something.

Coming from the bay area years ago I struggle with finding great Mexican food other than the food trucks. This little place next to Baker Bens Donuts in Roseville is Great. The soups, the carnitas the service is SO accommodating. It is not fancy just great food with reasonable prices. Unlike others.

Food an service are awful! As I tried to place my order, I was interrupted by the girl taking order, telling me I know what you want. I will not be back to this place. I will continue to go across the street, to the other mexican joint. They are polite and always come out to ask how your food is.

The food is really good and service is quick. The bathroom outside is a little creepy, as it has a dead bolt on the outside. I generally take someone with me if Im going to use it.
